Bath and Body Works used to seem like they were the only ones who did what they do, now it seems like the uniqueness has worn off a little bit and everyone is in the candle, bath and scent business. Generally, I like Bath and Body Works, but I do get put off sometimes on their high pressure sales tactics. They always have someone parked at the front door and that person kind of gets you like a sales person on a used car lot and starts applying the pressure. Not my thing, and not the way I buy. Although I have never thought of Bath and Body Works as being cheap, I didn't necessarily consider them to be in the luxury category either - until now. It seems like I blinked and suddenly the prices were through the roof! My latest coupon for a freebie (up to $8.95 in value) brought me into this store recently. I know the drill. The coupon gets you in the door and then you can't resist picking up a few extra items because everything smells so darn good! And their buy x amount and get x amount free just sweetens the deal. I've been a willing participant in their game plan for years. What I wasn't expecting this time around was that the free item was basically limited to a travel size only since they're all nearly $9 now, which doesn't even include one of the newer scents. Some of the regular size items are priced almost double that. As much as I love the products here the prices at these lofty heights will definitely make me think twice about buying anything outside of holidays and other special occasions. I have no complaints about this particular store though. It is usually well stocked and adequately staffed. I was in line and Brandon was so rude. He leans into me and my sister and points to go over to a cashier and then we move to go up and he puts his hand in front of us and says "um no" very rudely so I said "you just told us to move forward" and he says "No i didn't, i was clearly looking at her I was not looking at you guys. If you saw where I was looking you could see my eyes were facing her." and i said "Well okay I thought you were talking to us" and he said "Well i wasn't, I was talking to them" and the way he spoke to us just sounded so demeaning. Had he been more customer friendly, I would have no problem staying back, but there was no need to respond like how he did. This one girl if I remember her name correctly, was Azaria, she was so sweet and helped me understand the sales going on.Super patient and sweet with such a kind demeanor. Poor customer experience every time! Managers are rude - people spend money for feel good factor and my whole day was ruined. All I asked was to honor the 20% coupon advertised on the corporate website. They kept taking me around the store to login the app so they can scan the barcode so I don't use the code again and their store had no internet signal. They called the manager and I thought manager has a magic wand to resolve all problems for good customer experience but Manager Brandon was literally yelling at my face. My wife placed an order & after being a loyal customer a lady from the leadership Sherry @ 800-756-5005 is a very condesending & was more worried about double ordering the original agent Harris. My wife was taken away from 20 mins & additional 30 minutes; meanwhile Sherry blamed FedEx & expected us to file a claim. We were kind about giving them 1 star to post this terrible, unprofessional & so other customers are aware of how Bath & Body Works handle their customers in lieu of providing "good" customer service. As a background, my wife placed the order on 12/1/2023 and her account was debited for the price of the order ($115.28). The initial estimated delivery time was 1/5 through 12/7. As of today, the delivery changed to 12/6 through 12/17. She finally called today and was told to call back the next day to request a refund. She has waited since 12/5 just to be told that she needs to call again. She was also told the scents she ordered were no longer available. This is absolutely unacceptable considering her loyalty to the company and the amount of money she has spent so far. read more

I went to the Bath and Body Works location in the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas. I picked several candles that were on sale; when I approached the counter to pay, I presented a reward I earned. Jeremy, the associate helping me, rudely informed me that the reward could only be used for regularly priced item. When I asked where that restriction was disclosed, he rudely dismissed my question and said, "It's there, somewhere on the bottom." I said, "OK, but it's probably better to have it printed upfront." To which he replied, "Well, that's our policy." I then asked to cancel the purchase, there was resounding and sarcastic, "Wow!" From Jeremy and some inaudible but clearly rude remarks from another associate named Shayla. I am a loyal customer of this establishment and have never bee treated the way these two associates treated me. They were condescending, snobbish, and made me feel unworthy of their time. I hope this review reaches the company's leaders so that they become aware of the kind of individuals working in their Grapevine Mills location. Go to another store. Brendan the manager is awful. If you have a problem, no you don't. If you need help, not his problem. If he makes a mistake, no he didn't. Store put a broken wallflower plug in my pickup order. I asked for an exchange, because I don't want to take home a broken product. Brendan comes over, smacks a few keys, and walks away. Never speaks to me. I was confused when Valery at the register took the broken plug but didn't get another or tell me I could go ahead and grab one from the display. He'd done a return. Valery said she couldn't fix it and do the exchange I wanted, so I'd have to go get the manager. Hunt down Brendan, interrupt his hot gossip sesh with another employee- packed store, mind you. All the girls are hustling but he's having a fun chat- and explain the situation. He says if a broken one, that was all they had. I look to the right, where there's a full bin of identical, non broken plugs, and point them out to him. I was told that well, he understood it to be a return, which he did, so there wasn't a problem here. I was free to purchase another. I explained that this was a reward redemption that I didn't pay out of pocket for, which is why I wanted to just exchange the broken product that had been picked for one that was not broken. Not his problem. I could pay out of pocket or wait 24-48 for the reward to be returned to my account. Explained that this store is very out of the way for me, waiting and making another trip would be very inconvenient, and that this situation all resulted from the store providing a broken product when functioning ones were available, and not listening when I requested an exchange, not a return. Not his problem. I could pay out of pocket or come back. Zero accountability, zero interest in resolving the issue, completely refused to even acknowledge that there was a problem- and this is the manager! He was actively annoyed that he had to help me resolve a problem he or his employees' lack of quality control when picking orders and his utter disinterest in actually understanding the situation rather than banging out a solve as quick as possible caused. Go somewhere else. An extra ten or fifteen minutes to get to another location is well worth not having to be treated as an annoyance for just wanting to take home a product that isn't broken. read more

Brandon Bell the " manager" of this location is a sad excuse for customer service. I went into this location Sunday afternoon and was publicly harassed in front of the entire very full store by him . I was bumped into causing me to make 3 products fall off of a display, while me and my mom bent down to pick things up he started very dramatically clapping very loudly and for a very long time . He then announced to the store that I had just " bought myself " those products. I did not purchase the products as they were not broken or damaged in any way, had they been I would have purchased them . I ended up leaving my entire basket and walking out of the store almost in tears . When I called the store after reaching my car asking to speak with a supervisor, Brandon informed me that was not an option and told me to call corporate. Which I have made a report with them as of today . After reading the reviews here and on google it is obvious that he has been bullying and harassing customers for a long time . read more

You can purchase your products in the middle of their store. BUT....their seasonal section is not the best and they only had seasonal hand soaps when I went in for the hand soap deal. Every other location I go to always has all their scents in stock. Bath and body works has come a long way though even in the last 5 years. I'm a customer for life. I haven't been into a Bath & Body Works in a few years now, but my mother was looking for a particular Apple scent. There are a vast variety of scents of lotions and sprays all over. To me, it was hard to focus just on one, even when you spray the little card to sample the smell. There was only one person working. She was at the cash register so we waited until she was done to get some assistance. Before we could even approach her after she was done checking people out, she came and asked two other customers if they needed help and then us, as well. She took us over to the scents that had apple in it and was super helpful. I appreciated that great customer service and it made our experience wonderful. read more
