I usually have at least three going around my home so I consider myself a wee bit of an expert. My husband calls me candle obsessed, not that he minds. Love, love, love this spot! If you are a candle junkie like me, this is nirvana. They sell things other than candles, too - incense, sage, matches. I love both locations equally, (there is one in Preston Center, too)! Both have a strong apothecary vibe that I dig. Candles are pricey, but the quality and scent intensity make it so worth it! Every time I stop in the service is friendly, helpful and efficient. My favorite candles from there are: -Any of the Texas Collection, but the Fort Worth is my hands-down favorite (think leather meets flowers, it just works) -Jackson Vaughn Peony - the perfect feminine floral scent -Any Kobo chandle My to-try list are the blackbird incense and the proprietary collection. Every time I try for the Blackbird Incense they are sold out, so that says something on its own. Do yourself a favor and swing by, you won't regret it!

This is not a large shop and it was a little tight navigating around the space. The candles smelled very good. The service was good. We had a question for what appeared to be a pack of matches. But, we were enlightened to find out that they were actually incense, so when you lit the match it provided scent in the room. I thought the cost was on the higher side. But, when you are in a small business, you are paying for the artists services. The decor was artsy and mystic. I would definitely go back and check out new candles and their scents.

Cute store. Another great shop small and local place in Pantego…read more If you are looking for gifts check here. You'll find some made by hand items along with mud pie brand and others...even a few vintage and antique items. There's a section of women's clothing...some cute tops and accessories. Several different "booths" with a variety of vendors and items candles, decor, and more! I think my favorite part of the store was the mud pie section. I found a unique piece (not mud pie) perfect for my kitchen counter. Even better I caught a sale and got a great deal! You'll want to take a spin around the shop at least twice to see it all! If you don't leave with something for yourself or someone else...you might have done it wrong ;)... The store is named for two beautiful pups--their photos are posted on the wall when you come in. So not only do they love dogs...they are local...and that means a great deal to me!! Glad to have learned about this shop at a Yelp elite event.

It's a small store but they have so many different kinds of stuff. I love how you can browse around and see everyone crafts. The prices were ok on some and others I felt were a little bit high. But overall a great store. The young lady up front was kind. I would go back.

Wishful Thinking is an intimate space featuring handcrafted silver jewelry made by the owner, Patty, along with other thoughtful pieces by local artisans. You'll find artwork by William "Bubba" Flint, displayed in this vintage setting, as well as locally made candles (I bought several--the scents were irresistible). The shop also carries Inis, a wonderful lotion from Ireland that's a personal favorite of mine--and best of all, it's cruelty-free. If you're exploring McKinney, be sure to stop in and take a look at this inviting space. Supporting locally owned businesses like this is what keeps our community vibrant, and Wishful Thinking is worth the visit.

Proprietors Patty and Skip Streber have curated a great collection of artists and artisan's work and put it altogether in a lovely studio on Virginia Street, just off the main square. Patty and Skip are wonderful and welcoming and make you feel right at home. In here you will find Patty's (a silversmith) beautiful jewelry, framed artwork, leather goods, pottery, and more. Spoiler Alert if you are on my Christmas list...I found some great values on original artwork by William "Bubba" Flint and couldn't help but buy them all! This place is definitely a place I will visit on future visits to this area!
