September- My husband and I visited on a whim, and we felt a warm welcome from when we stepped out of our vehicle; classy old r&b tunes were playing. Kevin came over to greet us, tell us about the lavender farm features (best blooming time is July) and mentioned the quality products they sell. He was super personable and not pushy with sales, but i bought a soap, bath oil and garlic-lavender-pepper seasoning and all are great! In addition to Kevin's hospitality, we enjoyed walking the lavender rows, the subtle aromatherapy, and sitting in the Adirondack chairs under beautiful trees. We hope to return soon!

Had a great time coming by this lavender farm! The owner was very sweet and showed me around the products and area. I ended up picking a lavender bundle which was a fun experience and tried lots of products. Would definitely recommend stopping by here!!!

We had the pleasure of sitting with Ginger, the owner, and listen to her tell us her story and some history about her land.

There's so many photos of this place, you get the idea…read more A great addition to the neighborhood, and a destination if not close. Their wine bar is fantastic, and good-priced, and it was fun to watch the last of the World Cup here today. If you're looking for something special or hard to find, this is the place, much like the old Pastaworks was on Hawthorne. They really shine on their produce, pasta and fresh meats here, and there's always something new, but I love that you can count on the bakery for your focaccia and other fresh breads. Cheese case is like Rue Cler, Paris--so much selection and they will tell you about each one of them. Don't be afraid to just ask a lot of questions. I wish that they did some little items in the bakery, one of my fondest memories from childhood was going to Pastaworks with my dad and getting a breadstick, probably eating it before we even paid (we did), as we strolled around, and where's the peanut sauce for pasta, another favorite of the old days, yup, I'm old. Can't say enough good things about this place, it can add up though as others have mentioned, but, if you keep to a list or just slow the roll on the impulse buy, it's actually reasonable and you know you're getting what you're paying for. I've never regretted a purchase here or thought it unfair. I mean, it says Fine Foods right there in the name...:) Thank you for the amazing ingredients for dinner tonight, cheers!

I purchased some of everything, including a pie, and everything we've tried so far has exceeded my hopes. The best part is the products are sourced fairly close. No meat from Australia here. The information about the different ranches and farms is in their website and on signs in the store. They are also happy to talk with you about them. The store is charming and welcoming. Be aware that parking is tricky. There's a bus stop directly in front of the store and there's only one spot in their parking lat and it's only for vehicles needing wheelchair accessibly. The only place to park in front is on the curb just before the store.

We have stopped in a couple of times, and the service and especially the meats are excellent. The owner clearly enjoys interacting with customers, and is a pleasure to do business with. It beats supermarket meats by a long shot. Note that The Mountain Valley Butcher Block is not on Yelp, so the address is: 6500 Hwy 35 Mt. Hood, OR 97041. From our initial contact on the phone to the pick-up of the meat, Jason and his crew do a fantastic job! They take time to carefully explain all the choices a novice meat customer has with the intricacies of butchering. They also adhere to their quoted timelines. The wrapping of the meat is high-quality (other butchers have made unwrapping the meat next to impossible because tissue-like paper sticks to the frozen meats). Their staff is very friendly and helpful at the pick-up also! We ordered teriyaki-flavored pepperoni sticks & they tasted amazing- fresh and flavorful! We look forward to more purchases from Mountain Valley Meats & highly recommend them.
