Henry is THE man!!! Our entire family has had an unlucky summer with our cars - from the start, he has been nothing but honest, kind, and professional. As a woman, going to the mechanics alone can be really nerve-wracking but Henry makes the process so smooth & doesn't overcharge. He explains things well in terms a layperson can understand too. He even took a look at my car AND my sisters car in the same day, about 1.5 months after we both had work done on our cars by him, and he fixed the new issues with both of our cars for free. My check engine light came out during the night so I called my cousin for help and he quickly spoke highly of a shop called (Bates shop) and Henry, saying Henry is very reliable, quick and reasonable price. He set me up with an appointment with Henry right away for next day in the morning, my car was dropped off at 9a.m. I got free around 10ish 11a.m. I called Henry to ask if my car was staying overnight so I could make arrangements and come to my surprise Henry said "no need for that, your car is ready" I was so happy to hear those words, but that day I got out late from work and Henry was kind enough to wait even though the shop was closed. What really was a bonus for me was that I was expecting a high invoice I was even afraid to ask what was the total and come to my surprise it wasn't even half of what I was expecting. He called his vendors for the best price and got back to me with a full quote. When I got to the location it was nothing but great customer service. Henry greeted me and not only did he get me started but he had already ordered the part I needed so I would not have to wait once I got there. I just picked my vehicle up from Bates Auto and I couldn't be happier. I have a ten year old vehicle that needed the basics (brakes, transmission flush, oil change and I had issues with my gas tank) I was very pleased with the level of service Henry (the guy in the front) provided me. My gas tank issue has been on going and 3 mechanics later (because no one could figure out the problem) I find Bates and they know exactly what the problem is and fix it! He didn't over charge me or try to force me into fixing things that didn't need fixing like other automotive service providers try to do and have done to me. I'm not rich and I do have a very tight budget, these guys treated me like a human being, my car is running great and I don't feel like I got robbed! I highly highly recommend these guys! read more
