As time went on we decided that we would like to stay and have dinner here but indoors as it was getting cold. There were 14 of us and they managed to fit us into the restaurant area on the proviso we ordered quickly before the 6:30pm booking arrived and one table had to vacate by 8pm. The staff were great and we did not feel that we were being rushed even though some people had starters. A lot of us picked from the specials board and the food came out devine and the service was outstanding. The place was busy as it was the jazz/fringe festival weekend so the clientelle was of all ages (a bit annoying having babies/kids screaming thoughout the meal) including elderly who came in through the fire door for easy access. I would definitely recommend this place which is also dog friendly. This place is soo good that Seasick Steve was playing there that evening and eating his dinner in the pub part as we left.

Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. We went out for lunch and discovered this little Inn in the middle of beautiful Countryside.The menu had a fair selection and so I had fish and my other half had the curry which he says was great and he is a curry fanatic. The food was really good and the quality was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable, the inn's atmosphere was family friendly and warm. As well as serving food this Inn has several rooms to let although it is normally full during the week, but weekends are possible during off peak periods, and the rates are very reasonable. The staff and landlady were very helpful and friendly and we will go there again as there was lots of interesting things to do in and around the countryside, there are couple of National Trust Properties with lovely gardens and hikes, fishing, watching the local rugby team, lovely riverside walks over the fields, or visit Leominster which is a quaint little market town. The bar staff are friendly with regulars chatting to the staff. The pub was packed on a Saturday afternoon, but we managed to find a nice spot reading the weekend papers. There is a courtyard here - perfect for the warmer weather and a restaurant towards the back of the pub. This pub has a very relaxed feel about, and as a result is homely. Added bonus is they have a open log fire too - a real winner in my book!

The place is a nice old pub with lots of old character plus a newer area. The old part near the bar and fireplaces is charming, comfortable, and has some nice window seating. Beer is focused on the outstanding Three Tuns beers brewed next door. These our simply outstanding beers, and the traditional cask ale s were in perfect condition.
