The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The complexity of the spices, the balance of all the flavors--were really well done! It's a reasonably priced restaurant as well, and we felt like we were with family. Even the espresso and dessert (which was ice cream and spekkoek & were much needed after a spicy dinner ) were delicious! We'll be back soon!

Since it was our first time trying Indonesian food, we went with the Rijsttafel Biasa (the smallest menu option). It was a variety of small plates served on portable burners to keep everything warm, accompanied by rice. It was the perfect introduction--there wasn't a single dish I didn't love. Even though the plates look small, we were completely full and satisfied by the end. We managed to finish just in time for the reserved party to take the table, so it worked out perfectly. We ordered the Kuning Rice Table, the smallest of the three tasting-menu-style options. Despite being the smallest it came with an unbelievable amount of food! I loved getting to try so many different indonesian dishes, everyone loved something different! The service was very fast, and the food was brought out on hot plates to keep everything warm.
