I will still attest to the fact that I would never trust anyone other than Pam Medlin for my permanent cosmetics. She is such a perfectionist - there's no way anyone else could do as good a job. She always makes sure she has the right color for your skin tone/hair and that everything matches and balances to look very natural. She's given my incredibly straight eyebrows a perfect arch!! Her facials may be painful sometimes, but they are very productive and totally worth it! My skin is always glowing when I leave! Then there's all the gifts at the front... Ugh. I always want everything!! Last time I was in, I ended up with two bracelets, earrings, a candle, and some yummy lip balm. And that means that I wouldn't let myself buy the pajamas and make-up bag I wanted! I use Bare Minerals cosmetics so it's always easy to grab that while I'm there too. And as far as I know, it's the only place in San Angelo that offers it. (I'm not totally sure on that tho...) Overall, I totally love the Waterford! I wish I could spend more time there! From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was different. The shop has such a fun, punk rock vibe--art on the walls, quirky statues, video game and roller derby stickers, even plushies. It's colorful, unique, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel immediately at ease. Lynda herself is fantastic. She explained the process, made me feel comfortable the entire time, and worked with skill and confidence. Both waxes were quick, thorough, and so much smoother than I expected. She also offers sugar waxing, which I'll definitely be trying in the future. If you're in San Angelo and looking for waxing--whether underarm, bikini, or Brazilian--I can't recommend Lynda at Sunset Strip enough. There was gel all over my cuticles and globs underneath. It's been a week and 5 out of 10 have just popped off! No stress on them just POP! It seems like every time I looked out a new nail is gone! Before getting my nails done at Venus, I got my nails done in a spa in San Antonio Antonio. They lasted me about five weeks. Gel nails are the best nails you can do however, you need somebody that knows how to put them on not just says they do! So I just wasted $140 because they don't don't know how to put them on and don't, want to do anything about it. I don't live in town. I'm out of town and they should refund me but they won't! I was just washing my face and boom another nail popped off into the sink! I called the Nail Spa and told them that a week ago I got gel X nails and they're popping off left and right and the manager said there's nothing he can do about that and that that girl who did my nails is the gel X expert ... If you go to Venus nails don't get the gel X or if you do understand, they are going to do the worst job ever! I have had my gel X nails last without lifting or popping off for five weeks plus, but when an expert had put them on....

The acrylic is spilling over the tip giving it a droopy effect. The acrylic is also extremely thin on fingers not a cute look. Would not recommend this salon at all to anyone.
