Before getting my nails done at Venus, I got my nails done in a spa in San Antonio Antonio. They lasted me about five weeks. Gel nails are the best nails you can do however, you need somebody that knows how to put them on not just says they do! So I just wasted $140 because they don't don't know how to put them on and don't, want to do anything about it. I don't live in town. I'm out of town and they should refund me but they won't! I was just washing my face and boom another nail popped off into the sink! I called the Nail Spa and told them that a week ago I got gel X nails and they're popping off left and right and the manager said there's nothing he can do about that and that that girl who did my nails is the gel X expert ... If you go to Venus nails don't get the gel X or if you do understand, they are going to do the worst job ever! I have had my gel X nails last without lifting or popping off for five weeks plus, but when an expert had put them on....

I chose the Good Feet pedi and my husband chose the Green Tea pedi. My husband loved his pedicure and all the goodie's that came with it. He did have a very strong "floral scent" afterwards and I suggested he take a shower. WOW, that scent is STONG so he will make another selection next time. My pedicure was pretty good and I felt a bit rushed thru towards the end simply because her 11am appointment arrived, tapped my pedicurist on her shoulder and said "where do you want me?" Within seconds my pedicurist assisted me with my shoes and scooted over to the other ladies chair. Maybe appointments trump walk in although I did call before showing up and she said come on in. No worries it's all good and yes we will return. I hope to get a different pedicurist and if not I will ask.

I had a woman with short hair work on me and my sister had a woman with long hair. We both got manicures and pedicures. We were there for multiple hours. My sister's nails turned out slightly good but mine were all bad. The French tips are chunky, my nail overall is chunky, uneven application, and poor design choices. Additionally, my cuticles are sore. Plus, the lady kept dragging me all around the room and was quite rude and rough. Not relaxing or soothing at all. They also had this music on loop, so if you can't deal with repetitive sounds don't come here. I'm not even sure if my technician was properly qualified. She did awful nail art and couldn't make straight lines or a circle. If you're looking for a place to get plain old acrylics, that might be the only thing this place is qualified for.

She highly raved about this place and they did not disappoint. They offer wine and water and when we arrived they were not busy at all as it was early morning. Juan assisted in setting up my nails and was very friendly and communicative. Jenny then took over and finished the new set. My new set was acrylic with gel polish, almond shape and matte finish. The pricing was reasonable. My friends set was beautiful however there was some nail polish left on the skin of some of her fingers. We both got gel and they soak your hands in this bag of purple liquid that hardens and looks waxy. The liquid is nice and warm and leaves your hands really soft. However, I wish they would have asked if we wanted to take our rings off beforehand as they have some wax stuck in them. In the end, we were still very satisfied and the customer service and overall service was great. Jenny was very patient and did not rush on doing my nails. It was one of the few times were someone didn't make me bleed or burn me with the filling machine. I would recommend you give them a try!
