I found Cody on Yelp and chose him based on the prior reviews. Cody was very accommodating to my schedule and worked something out which fit my needs. He was very responsive via E-mail. The tree removal went smoothly and he did an awesome job. They removed a 13 foot fishtail palm and a potted Phoenix Palm with no issues. They cleaned up the area nicely and were very professional. They treated the stump so it will deteriorate over time. I was very impressed as the fish tail tree was located right up against a fence. Fair price, no hassle. Spoke with the owner about the cost of cutting down a nuisance palm that had grown far too big. He gave me a quote, gave me a date they could do it and showed up on time and cleaned up after their work. Beau took the time to explain how he cut the tree and what he was doing to degrade the stump. I did have to make an extra call to get this done but that's understandable. This tree service is the best. Best price...I took 4 quotes from 4 five star yelp rated contractors. All were arborists. Cody Bassett came over himself to make the quote, which he later emailed to me. Best service...my Octopus tree(among four other groups of trees) was 50 feet tall by 60 feet wide. I requested stump grinding...no problem. I later found out from one of his workers that he rented the grinder just for my job. And the equipment he brought was awesome...a motorized aerial lift. Of course, because it allows him to go up to the branches with his chain saw and zip, zip, zip...then his guys just pick up the branches and leaves and load it into a machine that turns the branches into chips. The clean up was A+. The other trees involved were a 50' Mango, 18" Money, Fern trees, Bougainvillea and a Plumeria, Biggest question I had was will any of my required pruning cause any of the trees to die? He made suggestions which of course i followed since he is an arborist. Professional? He and his staff of two or three were cordial, hardworking and responded to all my question with accurate, intelligent answers. Price? His price was the cheapest. I saved over $2000. I called 5 different tree services and Bassett Tree Service was the only company who not only promptly called me back but was willing to come to my residence to give me a quote. The meeting was scheduled around my convenience and he arrived timely. Cody Bassett was very professional and we were able to schedule tree removals, pruning, and hedge trimming for the following week. There were a total of three people in their crew for what I believed was a massive undertaking; but I was impressed by their incredible hard work. They arrived around 0845 and worked until about 1700 nonstop. They literally hauled huge pieces of tree trunks over their shoulders, around the perimeter of the house, and into the mulcher. They ground the remaining tree trunks with a stump grinder, making the yard flat and safe for my child. When everything was finished, they raked up the miscellaneous debris and made sure everything was clean. They worked so well as a team. Even during lunch, there wasn't a lull in the work being done. I contacted Cody at Bassett Tree Service to get an estimate for removing a 30' Royal Palm from my backyard. His price was reasonable and he told me the tree would only take a couple of hours. He arrived at my home as scheduled and proceeded to take down the tree in sections due to the close proximity to my house.
