The Saturday before Christmas. But it was late afternoon. The crowds were thinning. It was pretty much impossible to find help in the hunting department. I looked, but couldn't find anything close to what I was after. Nor could I find an employee to help. the firearm counter had a "take number" system but it didn't look like it was working. When I finally snagged an employee, I learned he was from the fishing department, just helping in the hunting department. And he did his best. Kudos to him. He found a department employee who did his best to assist me. But the shotgun shell bandoleer I was hoping to buy as a gift wasn't to be had. Big disappointment. Huge store. In my opinion it's overpacked which makes it difficult to walk around. Not likely I'll be in a rush to return. read more

Even if you're not into fishing, camping, hunting, etc., you can't help but like checking out all the things that they have to offer. You'll probably run across something that you actually want too. The store is laid out well, clean, and well organized. It's bright, and just has a fun feel to it. I'm no expert on a lot of their products, but nothing seemed way out of line when it came to pricing. The staff was welcoming and attentive, although I was just in for perusing. I did a good job in controlling my impulse to buy something. There were so many intriguing items that had me saying, I can see myself with that. Absolutely pathetic! I came here to purchase a gun on the day BEFORE thanksgiving, not black Friday. A busy shopping day but nothing that should be as bad as it was. You take a number to get served at the gun counter. No big deal, not a long wait. The counter salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. I pick out my purchase and all downhill from here. I told them up front i was in no hurry, could pay now and pick up some other day. No matter. They send you to another room adjacent to the gun counter. In there are 30 other shoppers waiting to complete their purchase and 3 guys on laptop computers entering in the purchaser info. They constantly get up, wander, chat. No hurry at all. A customer gets called up, and tells others his wait was just over THREE HOURS! To hell with that! I found out that Academy had the same item at regular price that was $20 below Basspro's "sale" price, so I left. I'll never again attempt a gun purchase with Basspro. They are inept at handling gun sales. I made my purchase elsewhere that day, and was in and out with my purchase in under an hour! read more

What a great store! Great location and the store is beautiful inside and out. Great, helpful employees who try to help even when you're not in their department. Great selection. Tons and tons of whatever a sportsman could want. ATVs, boats, guns, knives, fishing poles, tackle, guns, boots, clothing, guns......guns. Yeah. I've found some pretty good clearance deals here surprisingly enough. I love the displays around the store, even in odd places you normally wouldn't look. I think the "Uncle Buck's Grill" is rather unnecessary though. read more

I can't say enough about how bad of service I just had exchanging a rod that had a broken tip. They pulled up my receipt via my last 4 digits on my credit card and tried telling me that the rod I was exchanging was only $19.99 bc the receipt showed a different exchange for an ultra light glass rod. I explained to the cashier and then a manager that the rod I was exchanging was the bass pro microlite graphite rod which was $49.99 at the time I got it and that they had the wrong receipt. The manager wouldnt listen to me and just kept telling me I was wrong so I offered to take him back the rods in the store and show him where they have the same rod on the shelves for $59.99 but he literally told me he didnt care the receipt showed $19.99. I then explained again that was a different rod a glass one not graphite. He Wouldnt even take another look so i then pulled the rod up online and showed him it also showed $59.99, once again he wouldnt even talk to me anymore or even look at my phone. They then told me that I either return the rod for $19.99 or take it and leave with nothing. I tried explaining things again and both of them wouldnt talk to me anymore. It was like they knew it was wrong but didnt want to figure it out and make it right. I needed the rod for a trip tomorrow so I took the exchange for $19.99 and paid the difference of the new one I got, but will not be going back if they dont want to take the time to take care of their customers. read more

Their holiday display was very very well put together and loved the interaction. Even though the main attractions like the carousel wasn't open when I was there, there was things that didn't have to be supervised and i also liked that there was someone there making cotton candy and selling roasted nuts. Bass Pro is an incredible place for kids to go for the holidays. The amazing animals and Christmas display entertained me for hours.

Bass Pro Shop has a fantastic Christmas display in the back of the store. My marketing class and I took a field trip to the store and the display was the climax of my adventure. I didn't want to the Bass Pro because what we were doing next didn't sound like it could ever top the magnificence of the Christmas display at bass pro. I loved my attendance in the halls of the shop. I would love to get back to that display and just lolly around all day in the joy of Christmas. read more

My almost 3 year old loves it here. He stays entertained for hours. Great place to bring him on a rainy day. The restaurant was also really good. Can't wait to bring him back during Christmas I have heard good things. read more

This afternoon, I had the best experience in this store for the firs time in months. There are a few people I would like to recognize. Two young women in clothes helped to find something for my wife. Christy and Erin were their names, I think. Two blond young women.... Mike at the gun counter was a huge help (as always) and a woman named Kit helped me up in camping. I write this review as a former Bass Pro associate at another location. This store has all the makings of a good store: good product, strong brand reputation and great location, however the implementation of the Bass Pro policies is lacking. As a former associate I am highly aware of dress code violations and sloppy merchandising, but this store also fails on service. Twice now I have been to this location and been ignored while standing at the sunglasses counter. Many associates see me, but no one helped me without being called over first. This makes for an incredibly disappointing experience at a store that is know for its friendly and welcoming manner. read more

Stopped in to purchase some ammo for an upcoming hunting trip. This was my first visit to this location. The store didn't appear very busy for a Saturday afternoon, which I found a little odd anytime we have been to the other Bass Pro location or Cabela's on a Saturday it was wall to wall people . The store is very nice, great decor, and a nice selection of hunting and fishing gear as well as clothing and accessories for the home. The staff in the firearms department were very pleasant and helpful and we found what we needed without any problem. We finally decided we had what we needed and headed to the checkout that's where the pleasant shopping experience ended. Our cashier was not very pleasant to say the very least. Very few words were exchanged with the exception of the conversation she was having with a coworker,I assume her supervisor in regards to taking a dinner break. I completed my purchase and was placing my change and receipt in my purse thinking she was going to place my purchase in a bag, but no she was already checking out the next person in line and simply slid my items to the end of the counter. Their product selection is very extensive, especially in the fishing and hunting departments. I give it a 3-star rating instead of a 1-star because of a very nice grandpa-type man helping me in the women's boot area. He worked hard to serve me well. I was buying boots with the help of my family for my birthday which was Thanksgiving Day. We go to pay and my husband asked the cashier to look up his card number. She said she 'can't do it' because they were told not to...it would hold up the long lines with holiday shopping...there was one other! customer behind us. And another staff told us earlier it wasn't as busy as they expected. My husband challenged her about good customer service, but she was stickler to 'follow the rules' and not look up the number. When my husband asked how long it would take, she admitted 15 to 30 seconds. COME ON BASS PRO...you DONT??! want to provide good customer service when someone is buying $80 bucks worth of boots? She told us we could take the ticket to Customer Service later. Yes, PLEASE make the customer complete an extra step! to get points on the card. We bought the boots because it was a gift from my family to me. But, PLEASE teach your employees basic Customer Service 101!!!! I don't think my husband will be the only one complaining. Long line?! It's holiday shopping! Expect long lines....anybody who shops knows! what they are getting into. read more
