We walked in to purchase an ice cream cake for my mother's 77th birthday. The young lady that helped me was very helpful and friendly. Store was clean. We were running very late so I left quickly to meet my husband in the Fred Meyer next door. We looked at the cake together and were confused and disappointed at what we saw. She did write what I requested, but the way it was written was disappointing to say the least as you can see in the picture. Also the ice cream was very good but the cake portion was very dry. This chain sells hard scoop ice cream in a variety of cones along with specialty drinks and ice cream cakes. This particular location has just a little bit of room to move around the counters, making it difficult for large groups to maneuver. On hot summer days, it can begin to feel very crowded. The good news is that it's clean. The staff is friendly and quick with service, so they're moving folks in and out without much delay. The most difficult hurdle for us was making our way through a group of people who didn't want to separate for us so that we could get to the register. This obviously is not a reflection of the business, besides the cramped layout of the store. The back up occurs because there are so many flavors to choose from and in order to see them all, you need to study two adjacent counters. I really can't complain about it since choosing your flavor/cone combination is second in fun only to actually eating the ice cream. We chose lemon curd in a cup and pistachio almond in a sugar cone. They were out of waffle cones when we were there, but I figured it was the universe encouraging me to rein in the calories. The ice cream was delicious and the outing was fun. Came here to try a new flavor ice but was served by a young Caucasian female. I was trying to talk to her and she ignored me and spoke to her co worker about her "Karen experience" in front of all the customers. This was very rude and made us feel awkward. This has been my go to Baskin & Robbins for about 7 years. The last two trips, I will not be back. Last time, didn't review because we all have a bad day This trip...same problem. I have Pistachio Almond and Jamoca Almond Fudge. The nuts were rancid and old in both ice creams. They are either making bad stuff or they are not rotating stock property. I'm done. I wrote my review originally when I was bitterly disappointed and without ice cream. My only actual complaint with this location is that they say they're open until 10 but actually stop serving at 9:45/start closing/clean up. If the business stops serving at 9:50 it'd be nice if it was listed as closing at 9:50 instead of 10pm. Driving out to find a business closed 10 minutes early and getting the response from employees that "well we're open until 10" but unable to sell anything? So, I was with 2 of my friends and decided to walk in 15 mins before closing to get a quick ice cream on a Friday night. We get one foot in the door and we are not welcomed to the store, the little high schooler girl says, "we close in ten minutes". We weren't planning on staying just going in and grabbing what we want and going home. While taking one of my friends order, she was very short and had a rude demeanor in her voice. Two young ladies (one looked to be a teen & the other no older than her early 20's) greeted us right away, offered as many samples of the unique flavors as we wished, & were very friendly. I called the to get a price on a cake and then called again the next day to double check so called twice and was given the same price and then a couple days later went in to order and the price more then doubled told them what I was told showed them my phone when I called they offer me 5% off lol that was a joke then I said can I talk to the manager they said yes she can call you. When she called she said doesn't matter what you where quoted the price is $56 when I was quoted $26 ridiculous. Management speaking and customer service skill SUCK! To be honest, I'm a bit picky, otherwise I'd add a star. I'm spoiled by great, local ice cream shops, Haagen Daz, and Ben and Jerry's. All that aside, BR is conveniently located, and I had a coupon for a free ice cream. It was for a cone, but my daughter and I are gluten-intolerant, and they were great letting her have it in a bowl. Now, I love cheesecake ice cream. Cheesecake ice cream, everywhere I look, has freaking graham cracker in it. Frustration. I walk in, expecting to just get my daughter her ice cream, and what do I spy? Cheesecake ice cream with no graham cracker! Even better: butter pecan cheesecake ice cream...that I can have. I very happily paid for my ice cream and enjoyed my favorite ice cream flavor for the first time in years. The downside, it's temporary. Going up to visit my kids, I called the night before to make sure that they had ice cream cakes for my son who was celebrating his birthday. When we all got there the next day, my son found a cake in the flavor that he liked, and the manager(?) asked if we would like writing on it at no extra charge. An absolute abomination of a business. Went and and picked up a birthday cake, and when got home it was all ice cream and no cake. Called and spoke to Jennifer, who was rude and snotty. Our guests were appalled by the look and taste of the "cake". All we wanted was to exchange the 3/4 of the remaining cake for one that had bot cake and ice cream.
