What a cute little Midwest staple! A must stop if you're driving through STL or visiting! I love…read morethat it sits on Route 66 and feels like a step back in time (in the best way possible). There's a cute little gift shop next door if you're looking for some St. Louis souvenirs, too. Ordering feels a bit chaotic, but it's part of the ambiance. Everyone is friendly and the staff is efficient and seemed to be adequately staffed for the long lines. Don't get intimidated by the chaos outside, they move pretty quick and the custard is so good! My favorite treat is the mocha and chocolate concrete, but I've tried a couple of flavors and none have disappointed.

As we pulled in, we could see it was pretty busy for a Saturday, and the kids could barely wait to get something cold and sweet. My wife and I ordered malts -- I had peanut butter, and she had chocolate. The kids went with micro cones: Jade chose strawberry, and her friend got vanilla. Everything was delicious, and everyone enjoyed exactly what they ordered. Whenever we're craving something cold, fresh, and satisfying, Ted Drewes is always the best choice for our family. Great treats, great atmosphere, and always worth the stop.

For a last minute, celebratory dessert stop, Cyrano's hit the spot…read more My partner and I went because we saw a Google review that mentioned the bread pudding being so delicious that it "altered his brain chemistry." Honestly that's what sold us! Arrived and promptly ordered that dessert and the carrot cake. Then the server told us of their "to die for" tiramisu and my partner immediately said yes. WOW let me tell you from a first hand experience two people do NOT need three desserts. Cyrano's gives you AMAZING portions. Just one would have been enough lol. Anyways, the carrot cake was my favorite. It was so big I had enough to take home! The tiramisu was good but it was being overpowered by the carrot cake that evening. As for the brain chemistry altering bread pudding.... That google review was 100% correct. It was delicious. 10/10. No notes. Please order it if you go to Cyrano's. The ambiance was a little dated but still looked nice. The staff was kind and quickly resolved the missing ice cream situation.

My friend loved their raspberry mocha. We both had the lemon rosemary chicken (mine with pasta, hers with mashed potato) and loved it. The nachos were fun, over-the-top, and perfect for sharing -- equal parts playful and indulgent. The dirty soda was the ultimate nostalgic treat with a creative twist that made it feel brand new. I had 3 scoops of ice cream, opted to have it without any cones though but it was delicious. My husband has a chocolate shake which he loved. Aside from ice cream, affogato, coffees, floats, dirty sodas, vegan ice cream, and other delectable desserts, Sylvie Dee's also have a variety of nostalgic candies and treats! Now that it is almost summer, I am looking forward to coming back here often! They have a dog friendly patio! The inside is somewhat small but they do have some tables to sit at and enjoy your treat. Staff was friendly and quick even though she was by herself. I cannot wait to come back.

I hate to leave a bad review, but it was the weirdest interaction.. or lack there of, I guess??…read more The website and the hours on the door say it closes at 10pm. I got there around 8:45pm. As I was walking to the door, I see a man cleaning the tables. He walks toward the door as I'm walking up to it. We're literally standing face to face with the door in between us. I smile, he is stone faced. I go to open the door as he walks away. The door is locked. I try a few more times, thinking maybe it's me. I look around at the hours again, but next to it is a "we're open" sign. I try maybe 3-4 times more before I give up. I walk to the window and he's sitting at a table toward the back, looking at me. We just look at each other, then he looks at his computer. I turn toward my car, then turn back around and he's still looking at me! I sat in my car, confused. He never looked back up from his computer, so I left. Highly disappointed.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

I've ordered drinks and the mushroom sandwich, both really good and reasonably priced. For studying, the space is really great. Good amount of tables, enough room to spread out, and there are charging ports which is a non negotiable for a long study session. The workers are friendly too. Oh and there's an ice cream shop attached to it.
