I have wonderful childhood memories of going to 31 Flavors. The ice cream was creamy and rich tasting without a weird aftertaste. Just pure delight. Fast forward to a new century (lol) my experience was a bit different. Perhaps because I am more sensitive to ingredients (I know, ice cream is not super healthy, but if I can pronounce ALL the ingredients pretty much less than three syllables;) I'm good. i.e. milk, cream, vanilla, (ok, vanilla has three syllables) water, you get the idea. My body knows how to digest the ingredients. It's the other stuff my taste buds and digestive system struggles to handle. Having said alllllllll that 31 flavors seems to have changed their ingredients. I ordered mint chip and mocha. Believe me, when I share no cup filled with ice cream is safe left alone in my presence, I'm not exaggerating. The cup left with me... Safe!!! however, not a home run. The good: I tried a blossom's berry twirl and blue's boardwalk milkshake (both are flavors of the month). I like how they're always coming up with new flavors and how the temporary monthly flavor is always a little less baI liked the berry twirl more because it had a more subtle flavor. Both had fun chewy chunks inside. The berry twirl had long sprinkles. The order was made so quickly. I like how kid friendly the ice cream shop is and how they have readily available ice cream cakes of various flavors. They were always my favorite ice cream cakes. You can order custom ones with more flavor options online. You can get photo cakes too. The bad: The blue's boardwalk shake had a more artificial flavor. The interesting: Blue's boardwalk milkshake was purple. I don't know who blue and blossom are but they're cartoon characters that look like monsters. read more

What can I say, their ice cream is really amazing! So creamy and fresh. As if they're waffle, it's not the best, but it's alright. If you love coffee and cherries, I would recommend getting Jubilee Cherries and Jamocha Almond Fudge. To DIE for! Prices are reasonable, but worth it. Customer service is really good as well. Would recommend others to try for yourself. Pros:Flavors are amazing and creamy as if it's homemade. Customer service is nice people, and clean environment. This store has been a staple of palos verdes for as long as I can remember. So let's take a look at how they perform , shall we? 1- ambiance To be honest, it's a dump. It feels like it was built in 1970 and hasn't been updated since then. There's a worst for wear counter , a new menu board ..., but other aspects look so dated. I've seen better electrical wiring in Hanoi. The back area seems like an electrical nightmare. How does the fire department allow this ? The tables inside seem like an afterthought, the tables outside are unstable and sticky. This is not a place that welcomes you to come in and enjoy a hot fudge Sunday. 2- ice cream It's all scoops. No soft serve. And , Crikey, the price is eye watering. It's a weird nostalgia thing that I like this place. But, honestly, your better value for a cone is at the thrifty just a few paces away. 3- service Savage boredom. That's how I could best describe it. I live nearby, and every time I go, I get a new flavor. All of their staff are amazing and kind, and the food is overall very good!

This place is horrible , this kids that work here afternoons/night have such a bad attitude. Who raise kids that think is ok to throw the food ( ice cream ) or anything to another person . Every time is the same instead of just putting the cup in the counter they think is ok to throw . Sadly is the only baskin-robbins in the hill. The reason I'm writing this is because since day 1.... The owners have been very friendly, welcoming and courteous. This location so extremely clean as well! Aside the normal ice cream servings, this review in particular is towards their ice cream cakes! Such a great selection of ice cream cakes. We've been buying ice cream cakes for the past few years for our kids birthdays from this location. They are fast and friendly. This year I called ahead to ask if they have a certain cake and they did and they even took down my happy birthday information over the phone so when I got there it was already done in the freezer. It was very nice and very quick. These days with covid I don't want to spend a whole lot of time inside places so the more we can do online or over the phone is very helpful for the consumer. The girls who work here are friendly but you can't see the ice cream in the case next to the window so you end up cheated out of the 31 flavors. They have a menu but its listed on the cooler and you have to squeeze in to see it. They don't give out the waffle cones with double scoops like they used to for free anymore. :( read more

I've been going here for years buying personalized birthday cakes. Bought a cake, (2)1 qt, a large milkshake, and a scoop of ice cream on the 31st of May. Wanted to use my $3 off $15 and cashier said I can't because today they have the special $1.50 a scoop so I can't use any other coupon.
