I love coming to this BR location because of the convenience of a drive thru. The staff is always friendly and the product is always top notch. This was my first visit to this Baskin-Robbins location in Rancho Cordova, and unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing. I always order a milkshake since it's my go-to and never an issue at other locations. I stopped by on my lunch break expecting a quick and easy experience. I politely ordered a milkshake, but instead was given a smoothie. I normally don't speak up about mistakes, but today I decided to say something, kindly, just to clarify. I said, "Oh, are you sure this is mine? I asked for a milkshake." Rather than simply correcting the order, the employee immediately got defensive. She spoke to me with an aggressive tone, made dismissive gestures, and insisted I ordered a smoothie, which I never do. I even suggested she check the cameras, because I clearly said "milkshake." Her response? "No need to. I listen good." That was not only dismissive, but also incredibly frustrating given the situation. After going back and forth, she finally said, "Fine, you want a milkshake?" and asked me to pay again for the drink I had already paid for. I calmly said "I have to pay again?" And she replied with a sarcastic, almost mocking tone "Mhm, you want a milkshake? You pay for a milkshake." I was so disappointed and said I shouldn't have to pay for her mistake and if she wasn't going to give me my order then I'd like a refund but she replied "No no no, no refund for you, you paid for a smoothie." I kept repeating what I have been from the start and she proceeded to say "ok here's a milkshake for you," grabbed a gallon of milk and just as she was about to just dump it into the smoothie she had already made, I finally just gave up and left because it was clear I wasn't going to get the drink I ordered or treated respectfully. I've never written, let alone left a negative review before, but this was genuinely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Poor customer service. I dropped my ice cream waffle coming outside their store as I tripped on the sidewalk right in front of the store. One of the lady workers even saw what happened from the window. When I went back inside for help expecting them to be kind to replace the order that fell from my trip and fall. The man workers said, "No. if it was inside store. It is my responsibility". I have never experienced this type of customer service in the United States. The company is ran by foreigners catering to the American population. You should know word of moth and internet reviews goes a long way. Don!t be cheap to save less than $10 for an ice cream on one customer. Now. You lost my service and the service of my family. Which shows negatively on you I might add. In addition, I work for the California State Department. I bring that up to illustrate the amount of influence I have and the future business you have lost because of your greed or pride. read more

Every year like clock work, my birthday arrives and departs on a quiet, uneventful note. Most often, I have to work, and too tired to celebrate. So the one thing that I usually make a point of having is a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake. This year was no exception, as Joe K. drove me to this location which happened to be near my parent's house. Oddly, as we approached this place we thought we spotted the entrance off of Folsom Blvd. But we soon realized that we had entered the exit! The arrows on the asphalt were pointing in the opposite direction and parking spaces were facing the wrong way! As we looked for where the real entrance was, they had two lanes coming in on the other side of the building. Why don't they have an entrance and exit on both sides? It just seemed like a strange way to direct customers in. Made me wonder if they got that much business to require a two lane entrance. Oh well, we finally figured out where to park after a few turns around in the lot! When we arrived, I noticed that this a multi-combination business that not only includes Baskin-Robbins, but a mini-mart and gas station, all packaged into one small building. I felt a little disappointed the ice cream section was positioned to one corner of the room offering a limited selection to choose from. The freezer case had several cakes on display, but they seemed either too small or too large to feed my family. Then Joe discovered a small ice cream cake in the back of the freezer that was made with my favorite two ice creams! Chocolate chip mint and chocolate fudge! My disappointment faded away, as we made the purchase. I wasn't sure if it would be enough for 6 people, but it actually worked out well as everyone got a small slice. I called to work it out with the location and the girl who answered the phone said she would call her manager and someone would call me back in 5 minutes. I waited 15 and called again. The girl said the manager said the cakes were right. I think I know if they were right because I cut them. I had 10 people waiting for cake so I had to serve it. I demanded to talk to someone in authority. She said her manager would call me. Instead I get a text of the receipt that I paid for the cakes. No kidding. I paid for them. I ordered them. You made them wrong. I tried to call back and they wouldn't answer the phone from my number. I used another phone and they answered. I told them to grow up. When you have a disgruntled customer you need to deal with it. I demanded the owners phone number. I left a message. No response. I tried to call the manger. No answer. I texted back that I started annoyed but now I am pissed off and I will seeking legal recourse for reimbursement. I went to the Basking Robbins/Chevron on Folsom Blvd in Rancho Cordova today and because the owner didn't make my ice cream right, it fell on the counter. She told me it wasn't her problem and to eat it off the counter. She's an Asian lady in a predominantly black neighborhood and is extremely unprofessional. I refused to pay for it and she had the nerve to try running my card. When my God mom asked for management the lady called her a bitch and the Hispanic owner/ manager did nothing about it. But I came in for a shake" Nd he said "sorry but we are only doing scoops today. It's better than closing." AND IT WAS DURING BUSINESS HOURS SO THEY WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE CLOSED ANYWAYS! The worst customer service ever!!!! I came down to get a milkshake before work. I ordered a large Jamoca Almond Fudge milkshake and fill the dome with whip cream. I order this milkshake all the time the same way and because I know there's a charge for whip cream. The guy goes to make my order and then the girl came and told me my total and I gave her cash. The guy then comes back and says that she didn't charge me for whip cream because he forgot to tell her but next time there is one, but I didn't even know I wasn't charged for it and I told him I did make it very clear that I wanted it and I received my drink. Before leaving I realized my milkshake was watery and went inside to have them remake it. The lady gives me my drink but doesn't add the whip cream like the original drink had in the first place. Both the guy and the girl then proceed to tell me that I now need to pay for the whip cream because they made me a new drink. I looked at them and told them they said the next time I came in, this was the same visit I didn't order a completely different drink but the same drink and I should receive the same drink I gave them back in return. But instead they argue with me and tell me that I'm wrong and that I need to pay for it because last time I didn't and again I'm telling them that was a mistake you guys made not me but again I should be receiving the same drink back that I gave PERIOD!!!!! great shakes thats close to rancho cordova. made out of real ice cream not soft serve.... I rank them against dairy queen,costco,carls jr and Arbys and wendys and burger king Mac Donalds and jack in the box no one makes a better shake.Leatherbys or vics in mid town maybe but not in rancho cordova!The mocha blast is still my all-time favorite you won't regret it!! read more
