The servers are your typical friendly-enough highschool/college-aged workers. They were sure to answer any questions I had and provided a requested sample, but I felt a bit disconnected and shut out from the screens and doors they are behind while you are trying to ask them questions. I get it may just be a cost-saving measure with the AC, but it made the whole interaction a bit sketchy to be honest. Oh well, all that comes with a hole-in-the-wall joint! In our urgency to escape the heat, we ended up downing the ice cream before I got pics~ I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and caramel cold brew, which was an AMAZING combo with chocolate chips in both ice cream flavors, and generous heaps of cookie dough. The cookie itself is thin and smaller than I'd like, but I understand that's probably because they also use them for the ice cookie sandwiches. The chocolate chips in the chocolate chip cookie are sweeter, I'm assuming milk chocolate, but I liked the texture of the cookie. It was what I'd call a "boneless cookie". I normally like soft cookies with a slight crust around the edges, and these didn't have that. But I still liked the cookie! It's soft and chewy, still soft the next day. After buying the cookie, I tried a sample of the old fashioned vanilla ice cream, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The consistency was smooth and creamy and the vanilla flavor was really good. Normally I don't care for old fashioned vanilla because I prefer vanilla bean, but most places don't offer vanilla bean so I end up settling for French vanilla or old fashioned vanilla instead. This time though, it didn't feel like I was settling. I ended up ordering a small cup of the ice cream and the serving size was pretty generous. They also give you a physical punch card for rewards each visit, and you can enter your phone number at the counter, I'm not sure if you can also earn points through your phone number. It's bright and airy in there, even walking in after 10pm.
