The wife and I were craving some ice cream. We have been going to Bill Wally's but they haven't had a very good selection lately. Baskin Robbins had recently done a major renovation so we thought we'd give it a try. The location was in really bad shape before and had a horrible reputation. The visit was quite comical. We noticed the nice shiny new ice creams cases. But while we were waiting, an employee was already having trouble with one, as the glass lid wasn't closing properly as it was going cockeyed. Another employee comes over and closes it, commenting that it is a piece of garbage. He went back to scooping form the case on the other side. He was wearing a headset for the drive thru. It broke while he was scooping ice cream. The big padded earpiece went INTO THE ICE CREAM. No big deal. He just took it out and kept scooping. I ordered a chocolate malt. I watched the other guy make it and there was no malt mix used. He handed it to me and I asked if there was malt mix in it as I couldn't taste it. He replied with "malt?" He had no idea what it was. The guy with the broken headset spoke up and said they haven't taught malts yet. So he told the guy where the malt mix was and how much to add. Since I had already taken a sip they remade it from scratch. While he waited for the SINGLE blender in the place, the girl using the blender was complaining about it not working so headset guy comes over, takes the blender off the base, bangs it on the counter a few times and puts it back on. This is NEW equipment. The woman in line in front of me had a QR code from the app for a BOGO Sundae. The store has no QR code scanner yet. Headset guy, which I figured was the manager at this point, had to stop what he was doing and apply the discount manually in the register. The whole time my wife, who already has her ice cream, is noticing customers in line leaving because they had been waiting so long. The malt I finally received was the runniest malt I've ever had. My wife was nearly done with her double scoop by the time I got it. New, but faulty equipment, untrained employees, poor product quality and long wait times. Needless to say this wasn't what we expected from a fully renovated location that had been open for 2-3 weeks now. The manager was very nice, and he dealt professionally with the other workers and was patient with them as well. All the workers were very nice as well despite not having proper training. That's about the only positive from the visit. We will stick with Big Wally's going forward. read more

Dirty. Lots of employees working but the tables are filthy and so are the floors. Totally out of many flavors including vanilla ice cream. Who runs out of vanilla? Go somewhere else....like Sonic! read more

Was craving ice cream after a few bourbon tours, walked in to be yelled at. They are not allowing customers in doors still because of "Covid". Given their fear of Covid, one would think they would be protecting themselves against it.... Nope not one wearing a mask. I refuse to support a business that believes the only way to protect themselves is to limit customers from entering a building. Just ok. Lobby is closed in the evening, so you order thru a walk up window. Ice cream felt a like it had crystallized. Not the same quality as BR used to be. read more

Still masking. Still hard to hear and touching masks and then product. Still not allowing people indoors and yelling at them even though they have no signage prohibiting it. It's been 3 years. Used to be friendly and welcoming. The town is amazing and gentrifying rapidly. Hopefully this place is reclaimed as part of the process. read more

The one star is because the ice cream was good. Other than that terrible place. We were looking at the flavors before ordering and some ladies walked in (didn't know at the time that they worked here as well) crying and saying to get out because they were closing and f*** the owner and this and that. Another one spoke up and said she would serve us our ice cream before they closed. It was terrible service and extremely unprofessional no matter the circumstances. After we paid and walked out a few other people were turned away at the door and told they were closed for the day. It was 3:30 in the afternoon. Terrible experience and would recommend going somewhere else for ice cream. read more

I was craving some BR ice cream and walked up to this spot. The older lady that came to the window was not at all friendly. No smile and I felt that she was put off by another customer. It's not like it was busy either. No other drive thru or walk ups. Maybe she was having a bad day. I love the ice cream but her customer service on a Wednesday afternoon was poor. Great ice cream, good quality. However, they are breaking basic health codes. I work at a bakery back in Missouri, and one of our main rules is to wear gloves. Clean gloves. At this store they do not wear gloves. That's about the only thing that bothered me besides the small space. I'd recommend expanding the store. read more

It's Baskin Robbins! If you've been to one, you've been to them all. The Robbins in Bardstown is small, which isn't a problem, except there's never anywhere to sit. Can any other restaurant get by with that? The restroom is pretty messy and the floors always look like they need a good mopping. There's a drive thru window too for when you want ice cream, but don't want to get out of the car and walk 20 feet to get it. Overall, meh. Although if they offered "baseball nut" flavor all year long, I'd consider upping the rating a bit. ;) read more

The WORST customer service!!!! The employees there act like you inconvenience them. After being very patience two different employees were rude. Good ice cream always but awful customer service. This hasn't happened just once either, being a local my family and I go there often and they act this way every time. read more

I pre-ordered a birthday cake a month ahead of time and paid for at the time the order, when I went back to pick it up someone had written not paid on the box and I had to go all way back home and get my receipt just to prove I had already paid for, very poor communication! read more

I go to baskin robbins often and ive only ever seen the manager in there once and she was extremely rude made me feel sorry for the workers there. I noticed that the minors that work there are always there later than what the labor laws. This establishment is poorly ran and needs new management read more

We got two hand packed containers of ice cream. Pistachio, and the other was butter pecan. Usually two of our favorite favors. Not so great. No flavor to speak of in the pistachio. Tasted like vanilla with green coloring. On the plus side...it did have lots of pistachios in it. The butter pecan...ice cream flavor was only ok. In the half cup I ate, I think I found half of a pecan in it. Very disappointed. Over $15 for what? The private select brand at the local chain store has better ice cream at a much better price. read more
