She has helped me navigate the gym machines, make sure I have good form with heavy lifting, and tailored specific exercises to meet my goals. She has helped me redefine what rep failure means me and I will continue to work with her as long as I can. I throw out multiple questions each session which she is able to consider and answer with ease. Such a valuable, hardworking, thoughtful trainer. I find her direction and input easy to understand and folllow. She really does want to help you succeed. A wonderfully inspiring influence to be around. She has helped me tremendously. A total gem! Just amazing. This is review about Nora a trainer here but the other staff are helpful and pleasant and the facility is fantastic. There is every kind of machine and piece of equipment you can think of and I never have an issue of waiting too long for a machine. The barbell stations are awesome as well. The women's locker room has just been impeccably redone. One of my favorite sections is the massage/stretch area. Vibrating foam rollers and hydromassage bed for the win and much more. Love this place and my experience here has been great.

Every workout with Violet leaves you in a great mood. I only wish she taught more than just Ignite--I'd follow her to any class! --Helen is exceptional. She's not only an amazing instructor, but also a standout leader and role model. She teaches a variety of classes and every single one is top-notch. Her glutes class in particular literally kicks ass--in the best way! --Meg is one of the best TRX instructors I've ever had. Her instruction is clear, her class structure is thoughtful, and the challenge level increases over time, which I truly appreciate. She also provides great options for those wanting to push further. Bay Club is incredibly lucky to have these phenomenal teachers. I hope they are recognized and supported--because they absolutely deserve it!

On my tour, the employee was so nice, but the facility itself was a big turn off. Bay Club is a catch all gym, from kids and teens running in the halls, to older ladies that never sweat but wear their teeny outfits while they hit on young guys, to rude people sweating all over equipment and not wiping it down after. The vibe gave me the icks. The women's locker room was dirty, with wet towels and trash scattered about. The members don't keep the area clean, and the staff isn't quick enough to clean up these gross items left strewn about. Needless to say, I didn't join Bay Club.

When you look at recent photos of yourself and your head look larger than usual - it's most definitely time to join Team Tully. I never thought that I'd ever need a personal trainer (let alone, write a review of one). But guys, let's face reality - when you hit your mid to late 30s, your metabolism doesn't work the same way it did when you were in your 20s. And if you don't maintain a proper diet and exercise regime, those excess pounds will add up in no time! Chris Tully came recommended to me by a co-worker/friend. She had trained with him at the Lark Stairs for 3-4 months and lost over 30 lbs. And then another friend of mine (who's preparing for October wedding), started training with Chris and was singing his praises. So after a good look in the mirror and my waist-line, I finally made the decision to give him a call. And 3 months later, I'm so glad that I did. Chris has a training circuit that he calls "StairCross." No, it's not CrossFit. Trust me, I tried CrossFit and didn't like it. While I respect the folks who train with CrossFit, I've seen way too many people get injured from it. Plus, the over all mentality behind the program felt a little cult-like at times. But what ever... to each their own. StairCross is a one-hour interval training work-out that combines cardio (running up the Larkspur Stairs) with resistance training (push-ups, sit-ups, dips) and stretching (lunges, elastic bands, etc.). There's no need for gym equipment here. With StairCross, nature is your playground/gym. The Larkspur Stairs and nearby Madrone Canyon (across from the Tavern at Lark Creek) is the perfect setting for your work-out. You get a nice of sunshine and shade. It's not too loud or crowded (however, you might run in to the occasional squirrel or neighborhood cat). What really appeals to me about StairCross is that you're always mixing things up while keeping your heart-rate up. And so the hour goes by in no time. And in that time, you certainly sweat a lot and burn a bunch of calories. Chris is a natural-born trainer. He certainly practices what he preaches. In fact, he does most of the circuit training with you - so it's like having your own work-out partner as opposed to some angry drill sergeant yelling at you to drop down and 50 push-ups. Chris is sensitive to your personal limits. He understands that every person has their own pace and physical boundaries. It's been 3 months since I started training with Chris, and I feel so good after every work-out (I really do). Sure, some mornings are harder than others, and I would love to stay in bed. But I always feel a sense of accomplishment after our work-outs. So if you're looking to get back in shape with a friendly trainer in a beautiful outdoor setting - I would highly recommend signing up with StairCross: Team Tully. I hope to see you soon on the Larkspur Stairs!

TEAM TULLY IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME!…read more I Moved here from Arizona and had free time on my hands and an insecure conscience about my weight and how I was not happy about where I was. Being 20 years old and constantly having weight issues on your mind is just not conducive to a long happy and healthy lifestyle. I met Chris who told me he was a personal trainer, and offered for me to come try Staircross for free to see if it would be a good fit and something that might be able to help me. I was nervous at first because I had not worked out in quite sometime and was never comfortable with trainers. I also informed him that gyms were not my style and that I was uncomfortable being in them. Staircross was a perfect solution, because all training is done outside and on your own pace until you feel comfortable enough to advance to his next levels of training. He has a great way of motivating(NOT PUSHING) you to better yourself through the power of workouts. He also discussed food routines and healthy options so that my workouts would be better accompanied by healthier eating. I LOST 30 POUNDS IN 3 1/2 MONTHS! I went 3-4 days a week the first 2 months and ramped up to 4-5 times a week for the last 1 & 1/2 months of my program. I have never felt more confident and accomplished in my entire life. Chris really knows what he is doing and has been training for 15+ years. He makes the whole experience comfortable and smooth and I am so lucky I was able to find him!! I hope anyone who is looking for personal training, weight loss help, circuit training, or even a basic workout partner gives Chris a call. He has changed my life for the better and I can't thank him enough!

When I first started working out with Parand, I had exercised sporadically over the years but nothing really stuck. My scheduled work-outs with her helped me get into the best shape of my life and begin to incorporate fitness as a regular and ongoing habit. Over this time, I also lost about 20 pounds and significantly increased my overall strength and flexibility. In the beginning, I took private classes as honestly I felt too uncoordinated and out of shape to work out in front of other people. Over time, I then graduated to her group classes. Both formats I enjoyed and found helpful. Parand has a wide repertoire of workouts, and it's always interesting. Parand is also just a lovely human being. It was always great to catch up with her during my classes. If you are trying to find new ways to be active, I really recommend starting with Parand as a first step.
