    Great lunch.
    Joe C.

This is a nice place to grab a quick lunch. You are have an EV and need to charge at the Hilton, this is the place to go for a drink in the meantime.

    Bunless Burger with Fries

Dakota and Jeep made the experience at Basil's enjoyable. The Bunless Burger was moist and delicious. The salt was just right, and the cheese was melted properly. Fries were crispy, toasty, and savory. Drinks were well made as Jeep, the bartender, used to work at a fancy Casino. In terms of ambiance, the bar looks great and the spaces are clean, colorful, and vibrant! 100 % would recommend!

Great divey place in town! Chris, the bartender, couldn't have been nicer and she poured some mean drinks. One of the best parts was the friendliness of the Giant's fans in the bar. As outsiders and Dodger fans, it's always a little tense going in wearing the opposing gear. Glad to report that everyone here was fantastic and beyond friendly. This is my kind of joint!

Highly overpriced for a local place. House Chardonnay at lunch was $7.25 for a very small glass. We do not plan to return.

The Wagyu beef burgers were the best burgers ever!! I rarely eat them, so when I do I want quality beef cooked just right. So big, I couldn't eat the side salad I ordered. Magically delicious like a coconut chocolate chip smores Service was excellent, friendly, fast. There weren't a lot of customers when we were there, but I bet the service is always great. We'll be returning - I want to try the Adult Grilled Cheese & a mini banana cream pie. It's a sports bar, with sports bar ambiance, but very pleasant at the time we went.

We had 1 server but there were 3 of them working and walking around to check on you or help you if you need anything. They had a special Super Bowl menu. We ordered: Ribs - They were decent. Came with fries, potato salad (or coleslaw). Hotdog - It was okay. I wish it were cooked more. Came with a bowl of chili (not canned), tortilla chips, and a corn muffin. From their regular menu, we ordered: The Cobb Salad - huge serving with loads of great toppings. For dessert, we tried the cherry pie. It came back warmed but it was still cold in the center. They had no problems reheating it for longer. That was nice. Pie should always have ice cream. Had to ask for that because it wasn't offered. Overall, service was decent, food was okay.

The weekly specials here are amazing and my most recent visit was on a Monday for Locals Night where all dishes are $16. Great deal! The restaurant was the most packed I've seen but the service was still great and our food still came out quickly. Our rib eye steaks were cooked perfectly. There are options to sit inside or outside on the back patio. Parking is a bit limited in front but there are more spots off to the side if you don't mind a short walk. Thanks for another great experience and we look forward to our next visit!

And I love it! Garlic Bro's is a not so hidden local favorite that has become much more popular through the years. It sits right on the Delta for a perfect water-front view for outside dining and those lucky enough to get the huge bay window seating on the inside. I can order a full meal just on the appetizers alone. Ive tried them all. The fried raviolis and the grilled duck wraps (in bacon) are among my favorites. Garlic Bro's has a unique selection of oven baked pizza's but when I come to Garlic Bro's, it's all about the entree's for me. My all-time favorite is the grilled garlic steak. It is the best rib eye steak in Stockton. I order mine blackened (crispy outside) with the brown mushroom gravy that comes in a side dish. For sides, I order the garlic mashed potatoes. They taste creamy good by itself but remember the mushroom brown gravy I ordered for the steak? It's really for my garlic mashed potato's. A perfect combo. Consider this a Pro Tip. My other side is the green death pasta. You have to request it (another Pro Tip). I've tried pesto pasta everywhere and it's only this delicious at Garlic Bro's. The honorable mention is the grilled pork steak. The best pork steak in Stockton. The grilled lamb chops are good - just not as great as the other two entrees....but I'm a very tough critic when it comes to lamb chops. One thing to know at Garlic Bro's is they don't water down the mixed drinks. You definitely get what you pay for. And the price tag is actually pretty reasonable. Garlic Bro's can get very busy so come early for good seats and parking - because they don't take reservations.

It was also the weekend of some schools graduations, so we did expect it to be busy. We probably waited for about 20 minutes until our group was able to be seated. We ordered our drinks first and then took a good amount of time figuring out what to eat and waiting for our server to come back to take our orders. After taking our orders, we waited for a while to receive our food, again, we were expecting that because it's busy and we're a big group. I ordered their wagyu burger + fries plate. Everyone started to get their food and then some of us realized my food was the only one that never arrived so we had to let our server and another server (not assigned to our table) about my food, which was then brought out minutes later. It was pretty hectic in the restaurant to be honest, i asked for a side of ranch like twice and never got it. It was kinda hard to flag down our server so when they gave me my food, i ordered my pizookie dessert as well so by the time i finish my meal, the pizookies ready. Food overall was good. I also used to work in a restaurant so honestly I understand how busy it can be and our minds are scrambled. So i definitely appreciate my server and his patience with my crazy (love them) family and all their questions and comments lolol

This time though was my birthday get-together and since he was paying, I wanted to take advantage and run up the bill. LoL. He didn't mind. I had a couple Bahama Mama drinks but can't say I felt the effect of the liquor. To be honest, I was full just eating the triple platter appetizer....but I couldn't let him off the hook that easy. Besides, every year for three months I have to hear how I'm one year older than him until his birthday comes around in September when we are the same age again. The chicken quesadilla, riblets, and wonton tacos (triple platter appetizer) was filling and ordered my traditional chicken wings (bone in). I usually ask for all flats - but forgot today. He ordered the 3 for me combo which is always a good value. After over-eating, they gave me a complimentary ice cream and brownie for my birthday and couldn't turn it down. I asked them to charge my buddy for the dessert (just to pad the bill for him to pay) but it was a nice birthday freebie. One thing about Applebees is the bartenders are always pretty cool. We look forward to getting together and catching up each month at Applebees.

My fiancé ordered the Whiskey Bacon Burger, and I ordered their new O-M-Cheese Burger, which is a simple cheeseburger and fries served on a hot skillet of queso. I'm a cheese lover, so I was excited to give it a try, but the burger itself was a little too simple for my taste. I think it would have been more enjoyable with additional sauce or toppings. Our server was very nice and attentive, which was great. One pet peeve of mine when visiting any restaurant is sticky or dirty menus. Unfortunately, the menus felt grimy, and that's not the best way to start a meal. I always carry hand sanitizer, so it wasn't a huge issue, but I worked at an Applebee's years ago and remember that wiping down the menus was a standard part of keeping things clean and presentable. Overall, the service was good, the food was decent, and the value of the 2 for $25 deal was hard to beat.
