For those of you looking for a true, authentic, hole-in-the-wall bagel shop, look no further…read morebecause "JT's Bagels" will absolutely have you covered. I've eaten at bagel shops when visiting New York City and I've got to tell you, JT's Bagels are as close as you get with absolutely amazing service. Located directly on E. Main Rd. in the small community of Conneaut, this family owned and operated business has been in operation since around 2016. It is on the most easternmost point of Ohio before you hit the Pennsylvania border which is why quite a few people come here traveling from the I-90 highway. As far as the exterior, they do have a fairly decent sized parking lot. I also wanted to point out that they're opened for business 7 days a week; Monday through Saturday from 5:30am-2:00pm and Sunday from 7:00am-2:00pm. This is great for those early birds that wish to get their bagel fix bright and early and well before the crack of dawn. The interior is also quite charming with a few tables for dining in, a neat little display area, and large glass displays showcasing their vast amount selection of bagels. Since I was in the mood for a yummy breakfast bagel, I decided to go with their "Bacon, Egg, & Cheese" bagel (for $6.00) on a cheese flavored bagel. Since it was only a five-minute drive from the Airbnb that I was staying at, I decided to order this to-go. Once arriving at my Airbnb, I was immediately sold with how thick and soft the bagel was. One bite of this and I was absolutely sold. It packed so much denseness while being flavorful, spongy, and a nice chewy texture to it; just the way a bagel should be made. They also included a fluffy scrambled egg and two strips of smoked bacon which perfected this sandwich. I've got to say, their selection is quite impressive with over a dozen bagel varieties as well as over a dozen cream cheese selections. They even carry muffins, bagel chips, Danishes, and regular house coffee. And if you decide to come here for lunch, they have a respectable amount of salads and sandwiches, including "Club", "BLT", Chicken Salad", "Egg Salad", and much more. All in all, "JT's Bagels" is as good as it gets when it comes to an authentic bagel shop. And you don't even need to take a subway or taxi to get here. Hats off to the staff for amazing service, very decent prices, and some of the tastiest bagels in all of Ohio. My rating, a unanimous five stars.

There is something about a slice of homemade bread toasted and slathered with butter on a quiet fall morning with a strong cup of coffee. Or perhaps, after a wonderful weekend, taking some of your co-workers a box of delicious sinful doughnuts. Well NOT HERE, this is the only doughnut shop I have ever been to that is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. World over the bakery and butcher were always open till 10 or 12 on a Sunday. But here in Conneaut, your screwed. Even when questioned about such things, they insist that they would never open on a Sunday. Well I guess that explains there success. Mooney's has been a Conneaut establishment for a number of years, they do have delicious doughnuts, and pastries. But beware with the danish and cookies, they stay in the cabinet till they sell, and given their hours of operation, that could be awhile. I have been greatly disappointed, and also extremely pleased with the products. But "ask" when and item was made. Suggestions, the peanut butter long-johns, apple fritters, and cinnamon rolls are divine. Good luck and let them know what you think about the Sunday thing.. OH..CASH ONLY!!! I rate Mooney's a 4/10 Thanks for reading, and don't be shy, tell me what you think Mark L. Yelp!Yelp!!

This one is no exception as it is one of two "McDonald's" in the city of Conneaut, Ohio. This particular one is in the heart of downtown Conneaut (at 312 State St.) while the other being at I-90 at Love's Truck Center. Since I needed a quick breakfast and something to fill me up, I decided to come here around 10:20am, right before their breakfast menu transitioned into lunch. The location itself is relatively clean and modern as you can able to order either through the touchscreen kiosks or the old-fashioned way by going up to the register. There is ample seating throughout and this area is very well-lit with an abundance of windows. There were two working public restrooms as well as a self-serve fountain drink station. Finally, the exterior has a drive-thru. This particular location is open for business 7 days a week from 5:45am to 11:00pm. Conneaut is a sleepy little town so many other businesses close up for the day around 9:00pm. I decided to go to the register and they immediately took my order (in less than 30 seconds). I went with their "Sausage McGriddle", "Hash Browns", and "Minute Maid Orange Juice". Total price came out to about $7.00 for everything. This location actually gives you a number and brings your food out to you. Overall, everything tasted fine to me. My McGriddle was hot while the hash brown was crispy. The orange juice had more of a diluted watered down taste but that was probably because of how sugary everything else. All in all, the downtown Conneaut "McDonald's" location is a decent stop if you're strictly looking for fast food. There aren't many other fast food options in this area except for a Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, and Burger King by the I-90 highway. With that said and done, I am giving this location just an average three stars.
