We had a wonderful reception! JP was our DJ and he was personable, responsive to our emails and texts, and knowledgeable in answering our many questions! The music selection website was also easy to use and connect to our Spotify playlist. JP was easy to get along with and he was even kind enough to have a Tide-To-Go pen on hand and cleaned my wedding dress when I spilled chocolate sauce on it! The dancing with the clouds was amazing and elevated our first dance to look straight out of a fairy tale, and the sparklers shot out at the perfect moment of our lift. The traditional photo booth was more cramped than we expected, so if we knew the small size we may have opted for a different type of photo booth, but it seemed to not bother our guests and was a good size for fitting 4 people. We also love the photo booth souvenir book that Posh DJs prepared for us that was really clean and well-organized. JP did play all our must-play songs and songs from our "play if possible" list, and also did play the requested instrumental music during dinner. On the day of the wedding, we were worried that our guests wouldn't dance during reception so we let him know that we were okay if he played some songs off our list to get the crowd going. Later, we weren't sure if we should have given that direction since the first dance set had too many songs that we DIDN'T know. (My husband and I are not familiar with older songs, so we didn't recognize any of those songs in the first dance set). However, JP checked in with us after the first dance set and we asked him if he could play more songs from our playlist and we were happier with our second and third dance sets. We had discussed with JP during our final call that we wanted to do a napkin game to "raffle" off the centerpieces to our guests, but on the day before the wedding we had squeezed in last minute sparklers (we didn't think it was possible to light them since it was pouring rain, but we ended up being able to when the venue told us we could have sparklers on a covered patio), so in all the commotion we had forgotten about the napkin game and most of the centerpieces were left at the venue, which I wish we could have distributed to our guests. But overall, I am happy with Posh DJs and JP and thank you for contributing to our magical wedding!

He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Really, what a great experience. My husband had a really great time. Thank you Mark and company!

Two had him at their weddings and the third at his FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!! I got married two years ago and chose Magic Mike as my DJ. I didn't see the point of experimenting with new DJs- there's a reason he's been in the industry for so long: 1. He is able to feel the pulse of the crowd 2. He is extremely genuine and warm So many people asked for his number after the wedding. I'd be shocked if he's not booked till 2020!

Beware! Out of over 500 reviews, I've only given a handful of poor reviews. I gave all the vendors…read moreat my wedding 5 stars except for Mike. As Mike has been in the business for 20 years and the glowing reviews on Yelp, WeddingWire, and the Knot, I made the mistake of booking him. Mike loves to march to his own beat and is extremely disorganized, ill-prepared, lazy, inattentive to details, unprofessional, outdated, lackadaisical, and quite frankly a bozo. While I was impressed by all of the vendors at my wedding, I was seething and cringing by Mike's countless mistakes. As other Yelpers have noted, Mike is highly skilled at mixing beats for Hindu/American fusion weddings and getting everyone to hit the dance floor. However, Mike caters to the crowd rather than to the bride and groom. There's "no magic", here are Mike's top 8 blunders which I confronted him at the end of my wedding night: #1: Using an old schedule that was 2 months old! After 3 phone calls with Mike and sending him a few revised schedules based on feedback that he provided, he used the 1st schedule that I sent him with wrong bridal party names, songs, and times! He neglected all of the changes that we discussed on the phone and failed to use the new schedule that I sent a week before the wedding like he requested. When 5 names are mentioned, but only 2 women and a man walk out to "Sister Sledge" playing, that's a blunder! #2: Missing Cues/Repeated stepping of glasses. My fiancee and I are highly private people and don't enjoy long kissing sessions in front of our parents and friends. We actually took out all kissing pics from our slideshow. During the reception, after a big frown and shaking of the head after the 1st stemming of glasses, Mike initiated and continued to round up the crowd for additional stemming of glasses. It got so bad that some of the bridal party members broke some of the glasses in retailation. The stemming of the glasses is a topic that I also wish Mike discussed with us before the wedding so we could have easily prevented this embarrassing mishap. #3 Announcing the grooms name first and then the bride's name. A big no-no! "Peter and Aarti Pruitt". Mike believes in men first, even at weddings. #4 Playing songs on the "Do NOT play list". I hate "Gangnam Style" with a passion and it was among the 20 don't play list. Not only did Mike happily play the song, but he refused to change the song when I asked him to! That wasn't the only one... #5 Begging for a Big Tip. Mike isn't shy about charging top dollar $3K and the audacity to ask my father for a big tip before the event! The bozo loves to overpromise and underdeliver. My dad was way too nice to tip him $200. As a firm believer of tips, I honestly would NOT tip him. #6: Trying to Upsell at the WRONG time. Mike and I had a couple of minutes before the reception started. Rather than using this crucial time to discuss making any last-minute changes to the schedule (ex. moving things up as we wanted to skip sunset pics due to the weather), instead Mike kept trying to repeatedly sell us on the dhol guy. I hate BHANGRA, why would I pay extra for it? #7 Forgetting to play the cake cutting song. I was looking forward to hearing my favorite Baby Love during the cake cutting, too bad I never got the chance to hear it! #8 Not taking full ownership. After confronting Mike about all of the blunders listed above, he kept deflecting and making excuses. Despite repeated emails and phone calls before the wedding, Mike was very ill-prepared and was "winging" it at the wedding with sheepish grins. While I appreciate Mike's apology for his mistakes in a follow-up email that he sent, he doesn't take away from the painful memories that I experienced due to his careless mistakes. He single-handedly ruined the reception. Not once did Mike make it about the bride and the groom, it was more of Mike's day and pleasing the crowd. If you want to make your day special, I recommend tuning him out and enjoying the beat of someone else.

The moment my husband and I met Christian we felt welcomed and immediately connected. As a gay couple, you never know how you'll be received from vendors and Christian was incredibly friendly and accepting. We knew we were in good hands and that Blanc Noir would be the perfect DJ, and WOW, Christian went above and beyond for us. Not only did Christian make sure to play every song we wanted to hear, but he also made sure to not play all the songs we didn't want to hear, which in my opinion is just as important. Christian and his amazing team covered everything from sound during the ceremony, to music during the cocktail hour, and was also the perfect emcee for the evening. He did an amazing job of keeping the flow going, and the dance floor full! The biggest compliment from our wedding was how incredible the music and DJ was, and we give all of the credit to Christian and his team. Dear Ultimate Sounds Entertainment, Thank you for your DJ…read moreservices at my Lambertville Inn (NJ, USA) Wedding. I could not have asked for a better night of fun filled entertainment and memories. Now to the review... We live in the era of technology. Every vendor that served at my wedding must have some sort of internet presence. For me, a good start was through weddingwire and theknot. After the initial sorting of vendors, I felt that Ultimate Sounds Entertainment had what it takes to DJ my wedding. So, I made contact via phone for an appointment. The face-to-face encounter could not have gone any better and any questions that I asked were answered. What impressed me the most was his ability to improvise and overcome any challenges that were thrown at him during his time DJ'ing. Now, for the most important part of my review... Wedding Day. My wedding was relatively modest at ~250 people. However, it required Ultimate Sounds Entertainment to accommodate separate rooms for the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception Area. To no difficulty the company had speaker systems to sufficiently fill out all the locations needed at no additional cost. From providing mics to my live pianist/violinist for my ceremony to DJ'ing my Cocktail Hour to MC'ing my reception, I can honestly say that Ultimate Sounds Entertainment has done a job well done at a cost that was well worth their value. What makes Ultimate Sounds Entertainment stand above all others is their commitment to making your wedding work. The reason why I say this is that they initially committed to a 2-person team to my wedding. However, on wedding day they had added an additional person to make sure that the speaker setup and preparations were made at a satisfactory level. They also were very cooperative with all the changes that were made on the fly during my wedding. Now, the final point... this company sure knows how to top off any deal. During our face to face we somehow got off topic with bagels and how the best were made in NYC. Seeing how both my wife and I love a good bagel, Ultimate Sounds Entertainment graced us with bagels the morning of our wedding.

Every part of our experience with Dare was exceptional, from selecting the right package, to curating the perfect playlist (from traditional hora music to pop), seamlessly setting up in the two (very separate) outdoor spaces, professionally mitigating a slight timing issue in our schedule with fill-in music, and even making sure we had a bubble machine at the right moment. The only complaint I've heard about the music at our wedding is that everyone wishes the venue let us dance for another hour. I've seen them DJ at parties, bars, and now at our wedding, and now I'm looking for reasons to plan another party just to get that extra hour of dancing and an excuse to have him bring the photobooth.
