Disappointed we had to wait in line for 15 minutes - outdoors, in the crazy wind and pouring rain!…read moreIt seems management has deliberately placed the queue at the entrance in order to 'spill' the line out on to the street and make the place look busy, and while it may generate a 'buzz', unfortunately it won't be getting me back as a customer, which in turn makes me so sad because I really do love burgers.... For this gripe, I give management a 1/5 The burger itself was very tasty, I tried the mexican burger which came with a teaspoon of avocado and had a good ratio of sloppy and saucy while holding itself together and not making too much of a mess. The onion rings were excellent, as were the fries. Food as a whole gets 4/5. My only other gripe is the cost. I believe it was $14.50 just for the burger. Fries were an additional $4 or so, as were the onion rings, and drinks the standard $3.5. This is expensive by any standards, particularly due to the fact that it's counter service, and the burgers themselves really aren't that large. For this I give 2/5. All up I'd rate this business a 2.5/5, I'm not in a rush to go back, nor would I recommend it to friends given the plethora of excellent burger joints around town. It's evident these guys are launching a chain, and it also appears they are succeeding in a lot of ways, but sadly it's just not for me! I gave it 3/5 on Yelp because I believe I'm the first to review it, and I'm a nice guy!

They were clear on beer though- the ones on either end- but I don't drink beer so I don't care. The margarita was good but took 15 minutes, I think the one guy was newer and didn't know where things were. The staff was very pleasant but again, I only came because of happy hour and it being next door to my hotel.

This is the first time we have tried it again since the review below. Seems not much has changed and in fact has become more about what the manager wants rather than their patrons - you know, the people that put money in your POS. No real change to the wine list - dreadful options and very limited beer and alternate options downstairs. There is more upstairs but should I really have to walk upstairs every time I want to get a drink? The day we went, the sport on the TV is determined by what the manager wants to watch - even if the groups sitting in the area are all asking for a specific game. There was literally no one left sitting in front of the main screen, instead all huddled around a small screen inside. Broke up our group. Service rating down - this has NOTHING to do with the staff behind the bar who are delightful working the best they can with what they are given. This downgrade is purely a reflection of the service of the owners / managers and consideration of their patrons.

Not sure what happened to the first one but this is in a similar mold, finally there are bowls and deconstructed breakfasts and smashed avo and cronuts and all the progressive trappings of a modern breakfast in the land that time forgot. Prices are up there with Surry (and, let's be honest, why wouldn't they be when you've got Squillionaires Row down by the water), but the food is top class and creative and we haven't even gotten to the coffee yet. So, the coffee. Strong and good. Which is all you want in a good cup. Lots of pleasant grinding noises and wafting aromas that curl down the street and grab you with their tendrils and pull you in for a piccolo even though you had one at home like 20 minutes ago.

I really wanted to try the deconstructed acai bowl but unfortunately we were there during their lunch service so was unable to do so. Instead we settled for the nourish bowl and sweet potato veggie burger. The nourish bowl at $20 is not for big eaters but my goodness it is a whole lot of delicousness in a bowl. I have a feeling the kimchi is the main reason I loved it so much, but there are many ingredients in there so something is bound to meet your needs. With cured ocean trout, brown rice, edamame, miso eggplant, seaweed, avocado, sesame, egg and kim chi, it seems a lot is going on but you won't be left feeling confused. Everything comes together wonderfully and you'll be wishing there was more. The burger was pretty good and I enjoyed the pickles as I love all my burgers with pickles. Kale was made to taste not like kale (which to me is a positive) and it was a good combination of ingredients. Perhaps could have done with fries or something on the side, because it felt a little empty with just the burger. Not usually a fan of berry smoothies but the Berry Serious smoothie with mixed berries, banana, chia seeds, coconut water and rice milk was deliciously thick and came in a generous serving. Although I would have preferred the Mean Green with baby spinach, avocado, lime, kiwi, coconut yoghurt and apple juice (seriously how good does it sound?), I think Berry Serious was well worth the $10.

By the time i left all tables indoors was taken and they had a few people waiting on take aways. After ordering i noted that they serve milo milkshakes and freshly squeezed juices! Will definitely have to come back to try those and their warm winter salads. Overall, great first time visit! Will be back!

He's genuinely Italian (not like those awful fake Italians that seem to be everywhere you look these days) and is chronically happy in the most relaxed and infectious way. And hells, why wouldn't he be when he's blessed with the God-given talent to create the most awe-inspiringly, pants-wettingly delicious pizzas in Sydney? You may guess from that little paean that this is my go-to 'za joint and you'd guess right. None of this pan base crap. No bike wheel-thin, brittle dough with an artisan scraping of tomato sauce and three pieces of gourmet pepperoni. These bad boys are dripping with love and quality toppings, stacked high with colour and juice and topped with tasty cheese and chilli flakes and those ace little Italian anchovies I can't get enough of. My fave is The Special with pretty much everything and the kitchen sink on it. But NO PINEAPPLE. God help you if you order pineapple on a pizza. What are we, Polynesian cavemen? It's cheap, too. 2 families feeds three of us with lunch left over the next day. Boom. All hail Antos, king of pizza parlours!
