I am a wary veteran of dry cleaners as I have had bad experiences in the past with clothes that were destroyed, lost or had buttons missing that were not missing originally. I must say that Bascom Best Cleaners is "the best". I have been using them for 31/2 years now and they do a terrific job...no missing buttons, all stains removed, beautiful pressing, all clothes returned in a timely fashion. They can even do drapes and bed spreads. Parking is easy as they usually have spots right in front. Dogs may greet you from behind the desk...they are super cute but they sometimes bark so be prepared! I really like the place and I am glad they are right in my neighborhood! read more

The older lady who does the alterations is a bit smug and she does not always get the sizing correct. Made my husband's pants too short.

Very unhappy, poor quality, horrible customer service, $53 for two small dresses and not sure what they used but the smell of the dresses after is awful. They took two weeks and charge ahead of time. read more

I requested to shorten the length of my and my husband's jeans. The quality of the work was very poor: stitches were all over the place; double stitches in different places; they even missed to stitch some areas of my husband's jeans... unfortunately my husband did not check the quality when he picked up the order. they charged us $40! I am shocked and will stop by tomorrow for refund. No longer recommend this place! Bummer cause it is so close to my house... read more

I have my shirts and suits cleaned , always come out perfect. I recently took in a down comforter that had a spill on it . I was quite worried about it getting clean. I should not have been concerned. They did a great job and right on time. Love this place. read more

Recently I had my linen blend lined draperies and sheers cleaned at Bascom Best Cleaners. They did a very good job on cleaning and they didn't shrink at all to my surprise. The draperies did not have any chemical smell either. I definitely recommend their drapery cleaning service. read more

Bascom Best Cleaners & Drapery - Sammy and brownie - Laundry Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Pros- I was able to get my dry cleaning back the next day. Cons- Of the 6 dress shirts, 4 of them I had to re-iron. Some of the shirts that I needed to iron again had a big crease in them that ironing didn't help. Pair of pants had buttons missing. The suit jacket had a big crease on the sleeve. Will not go here again. I came here because I'm new to the area and the reviews seemed good. I will look for a new cleaner for my weekly items. As a side note, I love dogs and I have one of my own. When I arrived tot he location, the owners dogs were sitting on the counter and the other one running around the store. As some of my clients and friends are allergic to dogs, I would not recommend them here. read more

First of all, I want to point out that I gave you a review on 12/9/2016. The management just replied on 7/26/2017.....what took you so long? Secondly, I beg to differ, you do not always repair tears in your work because the dress in question did not have tears when I brought it in to you. And when I brought it back, I thought that you would repair in at no charge....but you charged me for the repair. The woman said that she could not be responsible! So.....NO I will not go back. But to make it fair I gave you two stars.... read more

I've been a customer of many dry cleaners from Palo Alto to San Jose, and I've yet to find a better cleaning service than Bascom Best Cleaners. I know . . . a company with the name "Best" anything makes me suspicious too, but in this particular case it's true. Want to get back your clothes on a rush, don't want them to write your name on your $300+ shirts, want them to remember you by name? This is the place to go. They take the extra step and it shows. I'm always in and out in a matter of moments. read more

Been going here for 6 years. Good experience until 6 mos ago. Then Kim hired some new employees and they're clueless. They lost 1 shirt and gave me a hard time about giving a refund. Finally gave the refund and I decided to stay with them as they're close to my home. Then they lost a second shirt...in asking where it might be they started fishing for ones that "might" be my lost shirt, literally pulling shirts from other racks and guessing! I don't understand how shirts get lost unless there's they're quite disorganized- Unless you're OK donating 20% of your shirts avoid this place! read more

Great services at reasonable prices. They do some minor tailoring work as well. My go to for dry cleaning/tailoring needs. Recommended.

Super friendly! My clothes are always treated with extra care and their quality of work is amazing. Thats why Ive been coming here for 10 years! read more

Just got my stuff and VERY disappointed. I used to be a loyal client. I brought bunch of things to clean.... As a result: it looks like almost all things were not cleaned at all, just steamed: all stains are in place! They lost a belt from my dress and one pair of pants is missing in the returned items. Silky things have marble-like stains (( not sure how they are going to handle this. Will talk on Monday. read more

I've been taking my stuff here for about a year. Great service, the owner/manager has remembered my name since the 2nd time I was in, and I only go about once every 3-4 weeks normally. Also, I didn't have cash one time, so she told me to just pay the next time I was in! Just hardly ever see this type of service anymore - props to Bascom Best! read more

The owner is friendly, the service and quality is awesome. It is not cheap. Unlike Moon's, my clothes last forever and I never have shirts returned with broken buttons. I had a great experience working for the Valley's best Haberdasher about 25 years ago-JP Jones in Cupertino. I learned hand, fabric, and the most important aspect of Super Fine clothing, the art of cleaning the fabric and its importance to keeping my $1200 suits and $120 shirts in great condition for 15 years plus. Kim, @ BASCOM BEST is by far the BEST I have ever met. Kim is professional, personable, and her attention to detail is outstanding. Most of all, she is convenient, and dependable. Never a broken button, always repairs stressed waist lines and missing (waist line) buttons at my request. Sammy is envious of me because - I don't know why. BASCOM BEST is also Cambrian and Los Gatos BEST. Please try them out-I guarantee you will not be disappointed. read more

I am so overjoyed by the customer service at this cleaners. I've been looking for a trustworthy cleaners in the area since I had a bad experience at another store and have finally found it in Bascom Best Cleaners. I dropped off an important dress and failed to pick it up before Sunday, when I needed it, but they are closed Sunday. I emailed and left a message for the proprietors Saturday night and heard back first thing in the morning. They opened the store for me on Sunday and were extremely kind and helpful. I am so grateful for their generosity. I now have a cleaners in the area, that I can trust! read more
