Cute restaurant in the downtown area. The food was delicious and fresh. I had the seasonal warm breakfast bowl and it was filling with great flavor. The staff were friendly and quick with the food service. It's a great spot to get a quick, nutritious bite to eat or have a sit down meal. The ambiance is very green and welcoming with beautiful art and books on display. The fresh food is cooking for you to see behind the counter. My group of four all found tasty food options. One of my friends said, "I feel nourished". I would eat here again, check this place out if you're in Missoula, MT!

Grateful to find Basal as we passed through Missoula. The delicious meal was nourishing as it was tasty. What made it extra nice were the people. Im kicking myself for forgetting the young mans name after asking him but he is in a couple of these pics. His attitude and willingness to give us a good experience was evident. He made helpful suggestions to add to the pesto rice bowl. Then this cheerful woman brought us our meal and coffees, turns out that was Julie one of the owners. This place has a fabulous vive and we will come back. Thank you

Absolutely loved the build your own salad. The warm breakfast bowl was fantastic too. The pesto stirfry was tasty, but mostly rice. We would've liked more veggies. They were happy to put our to go orders in our own Tupperware's. Save the Earth! And we absolutely love the bone broth! The strawberry rhubarb smoothie sounded tasty. The only thing that can make it better is if they had fermented veggies!

Shared a salad and a smoothie with my husband, we both were full and very satisfied with the quality of the ingredients and the flavors. So much freshness-love it! We do wish they had tofu as a protein choice, but the lentils they had were very tasty and cooked firm so they had that nice robust filling quality to them. would def come back here!

Yum delicious breakfast! Glad I made it before noon to order! Love that they ask if you want extras or substitutions and even if you have allergies. Indoor seating is limited and it was busy during the lunch hour. Order a head and enjoy!

Almond butter and jelly smoothie; americano.

Clean and open place - loved the display of all the fresh ingredients. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a smoothie and americano and was shocked at the relatively low price for both - but I am from Seattle so take that with a grain of salt. Americano was appropriately strong and smooth. Smoothie (I got the almond butter and jelly) was obviously very fresh and had some great flavor. It was just south of room temperature - I personally prefer my smoothies a bit colder. Definitely would swing by again.

You could tell that the menu changes seasonally due to the layout of the menu. We ordered the Vegetable Green curry soup and the Red Lentil soup. The broths were very flavorful with a bit of spice, but not too much. They had plenty of vegetables and lentils. You have several different sizes to choose from. They also offer food to go. The cilantro and cashews on top of the soup gave it a nice crunch and added flavor. The Thai Peanut salad was loaded with crunchy fresh vegetables and a delicious sauce. The bratwurst came in a sandwich. The sauerkraut was a little sweet and not bitter/sour tasting. The brat had a thin skin that was easy to bite through. The house mustard was like deli mustard with coarse seeds. The bread was soft, but a little too much for my liking. Overall, I would recommend this business for delicious, fresh and fast food especially if you love soup!

For dinner, we were going to order the ciopinno but it wasn't available so we ordered the rack of lamb and of course, the NY steak! The rack of lamb had a good flavor, but instead of medium rare, it was well done. Sadly. The NY Steak was also well done- instead of med-rare. They did give a reduction in price when I mentioned it, which I didn't expect! Everything else was so great- we will definitely go back to give another chance!

It's a lot of good and the flavors are fresh, especially with the brightness from the chimi. The sweet potatoes are seasoned beautifully and the best part of the dish afterwards. The beef...needs more salt and has been sitting in the line for a bit too long - gray and bland, which I feel is not the hallmark of Brazilian churrosco. But the grill setup is there for the vibes. Maybe try the chicken next time. Also make sure you get the pao de quejo, super addictive chewy cheese rolls that are best fresh from the oven.
