Amazing selection of hookah and beers. Better selection than most places I've been to. Definitely recommended.

This hookah cafe is located in downtown Wilmington waterfront area, and thus when my SO and I are…read morein the area we frequent this hookah place quite often. Being that my husband is a hookah addict, it is hard for him to find a place that satisfies his high standards, and Arabian Nights definitely does. The price of the hookah depends upon the number within your party, and they do provide a 10% student discount M-Th, which is pretty cool considering most of their customers are students. Their shisha selection isn't very large, but they are quite delicious, and do serve tea, coffee, juices, and so forth, along with dessert. I don't know if they are still doing the dessert, but the baklava was yummy. On certain nights there is cover to enter to listen to the live music and/or to the see the belly dancer that they have come in during the weekends for entertainment. The decor of the cafe will transport you to the middle east. Its absolutely romantic, thus I would recommend it for an after dinner activity that would surely wow your date.

The place is ridiculously overpriced, from charging $7/person for cover to $3 just to to get ice in your sheeshah. They even charge you to get soap water to blow your bubbles. You bear all of these expenses to experience sub standard quality of the hookah. The atmosphere was meh, the dj was average and the staff seemed like they didn't really know what they were doing. Just when we decided to ignore all the negatives and focus on having a good time and were about to get comfortable, we were asked if we would consider moving to another location to accommodate a bigger party of people. That was the proverbial last straw that completely ruined the experience for us. I would not recommend this lounge to anybody looking to get a decent hookah in Wilmington, Instead I would suggest that one go to Juggling Gypsy, that's located less than two miles away from this one for a much better experience.

I probably shouldn't have wondered into a place called Puff Puff Palace in the first place, but I…read moredid because I saw a blinky sign out of the corner of my eye that said "HOOKAH!" and here's what I thought. First, you go up about 6 flights of evil stairs of death. I mean, one wrong move and you're losing your ankle and going to probably roll to your death. They are old, uneven and narrow. Once you are out of breath and have successfully reached the top, you enter a, what's supposed to be, a hookah lounge/bar. Mind you, this was NOT my first trip into a hookah bar, I've been to plenty in my time, yet this was by far the worst attempt at a hookah anything. But yes, they do have hookahs.... The decor is strobe lights, black lights and disco balls. The black lights are great for illuminating the questionable stains on the many shitty couches that are haphazardly placed around. The music isn't Turkish, Egyptian, or anything else that you would think should be playing in a hookah bar. What we heard was shitty top 40 R&B singles that was turned up WAY too loud. Since we had survived the Death Stairs, and we were already inside and it wasn't crowded (yet) we ordered a hookah. The girl recommended a specialty flavor called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Um, WTF? Do I look like that's what I want to smoke? A Teenage Ninja Turtle? Alright, eff it, I'll try it. It was a mix of Grape and Mint flavors. :/ About 15 min into puff puffing on this TMNT hookah groups of people started coming in. These people looked about 12, to me, but hell I might be so old now I can no longer tell how old people actually are. I'm going to guess they were at least 18. Everyone also started smoking cigarettes. GROSS. Many years ago I was a smoker, so I get it, but since I haven't touched a cigarette in about 2 years, I defiantly don't want to go home reaking of ashtray. So, my friend and I left...and as soon as we got up to pay for our TMNT hookah experience and brave the walk down the 6 flights of Evilness, some thug looking tween took our hookah. Whatever... My take on this place is shady ass teeny bopper hang out where they illegally smoke Newports. No thanks.

This place is under new ownership. The new outside paint job, wow, it's pretty bold! It reminds me…read moreof a Chinese restaurant with the bright red and yellow colors. The building certainly needed a paint job. Four of us had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. We've eaten here several times in the past and were looking forward to a good dinner. The place was pretty full. We ordered drinks to start. Mine was missing for 7-8 minutes after the rest got theirs. Our waitress was apologetic. I ordered the Shepherd's pie, which was always my favorite there, and a side salad with blue cheese on the side. My husband ordered the fish and chips. One friend ordered the Irish fried chicken sandwich and a side salad, also with blue cheese dressing. Our other friend wanted a Caesar salad (but it's no longer on the menu) and soup of the day. The waitress said the chef was not making soup because it was hot outside. We scratched our heads at that comment. My friend ended up ordering the steak salad. While waiting, the waitress came out with a very small bowl of blue cheese dressing. Hmmm, was that for two of us to share? Three entrees came out, followed by one salad a few minutes later. The fried chicken sandwich and other salad didn't show up....for long time. The waitress could have brought the salad out. Something happened that the kitchen dropped the ball on his order. His finally came out after the three of us were just about done with our meal. His chicken breast was small. He had to ask for his blue cheese dressing and the waitress looked at the bowl that was in front of me with an expression that made us think we did have to share it. It was enough for one salad, not two. She did bring out some for him. My friends steak salad was served in a huge, deep bowl. The amount of salad could have fed all four of us. It was topped with the steak, which wasn't a big portion and on the dry side. I was disappointed with the Shepherd's pie. The mashed potatoes, thick dollops instead of the potatoes spread out in an even layer, were on the dry side, not creamy at all. The ground beef and vegetables were okay, just not a lot of flavor. My husband's fish and chips were very good. A big piece of battered fish! The fries were good too. It was probably the best meal of the night. The waitress gave a 10% discount to our friend who had to wait a long time for his meal. My husband and I also got a 10% discount, which was unnecessary. Honestly, our friend's meal should have been taken off the bill in its entirety. Then when we get the bill, there is some sort of surcharge, which the waitress couldn't explain was it was for. The staff should know, and it should be annotated on the menu. Be up front with your extra charges, don't make customers find out at the end of the meal. I even heard one person at the table next to us also question this surcharge. Overall, a disappointing dinner. There were too many negatives over positives. We did note that there were only two waitresses and if I remember correctly, ours was fairly new to the place. But what happened with the missing meal that took so long to get to the table? Will we come back? I'm not sure.
