I read a Yelp review that stated Barbi, the nurse/office manager/appointment giver/prescription…read moreexecuter - all roads lead to Barbi - is a liar. I don't know if she is, so you decide if she is a liar or if the doctor has little care for his patients, or at least me. I'm the person who baked holiday cookies for them at my first appointment, after chatting with Barbi when I made the appointment and who gifted Barbi's two big dogs huge dog toys. Since becoming a patient 3 months ago, I contacted the office with 2 requests - once when I was having significant issues stemming from being undermedicated and once when I was having serious side effects, for weeks, after trying to 'get used to' the meds. Both times I spoke with Barbi and, per her suggestion, emailed her with detailed info to help the doctor understand my issues. Both times Barbi told me that she'll tell the doctor/the doctor "is aware" of my inquiry/"the doctor will call you today". I never got a call from the doctor. I also saw on the patient portal that they put another patient's info in my chart - I only wish I was 5'7" but the 16" neck I can do without. They also put down results of exams I didn't have - at my first and only in-person appointment, since they prefer virtual appointments, no one took my vitals. So some other patient's height, weight, blood pressure, and BMI are in my record. Even though I was not assessed for cardiovascular, respiratory, balance, reflexes, gait, sleep, psychiatric, etc. abilities, my patient record shows that I was assessed. My medical history and dosage of my one daily med was inaccurate and when I emailed screen shots of inaccurate info, Barbi didn't make changes. I finally emailed her a list of the issues and she removed the info instead of correcting it. During my last virtual appointment, I told the doctor my one daily med is still showing at half the dose I take. Barbi never fixed it. I don't think that the doctor and nurse are horrible people, but I question their actual concern for the patient, at least when I was the patient. Was. As in I didn't appreciate the lip service and lack of concern for me. When we don't feel well or have a condition that requires treatment, we are at the mercy of the medical profession. I learned to put more emphasis on PROFESSION, as in professional. When I asked myself, "do I feel that this is the height of professional care?"I FLED from their office, that was on day 4 after I reported concerning issues and the doctor STILL hadn't contacted me as Barbi promised. So, you decide if one is a liar or if one is unprofessional and disinterested in providing actual care. When I forwarded another doctor my email sent to Dr. Steinberg about the side effects, that doctor immediately scheduled a virtual appointment that day and prescribed a different medication. Night meet day. I went from one doctor whose office sluggishly promised action and then did nothing, to another doctor who couldn't help me enough. And beware, Dr. Steinberg gets paid the negotiated rate from the insurance company and then seeks the balance of his nearly $600 per session fee from the patient. Wow, questionable service doesn't come cheap.

Super bad experience. I waited for over two months for an appointment for my 90-year-old mother…read more I had given them all the information: insurance, address, history, etc., etc. The day before the appointment they called me to confirm. I called them back that same day at 3:30 and was told the appointment had been unilaterally cancelled!!! The office manager refused to honor the appointment or reschedule us for that week. She said they have a lot of no-shows so they were justified in cancelling my appointment. When I had called them back SAME DAY!!!! My mother is 90. I am taking her in two weeks to Europe as her last trip. We needed to see the doctor beforehand. When my mother waits two months, that is a big chunk of the time she has left. Who do these people think they are, demi-gods? Their time is worth more than other people's because they have been fortunate enough to be able to get a good education? Absolutely SHAMEFUL. The office manager kept telling me that we could see a physician's assistant and it would be the same thing. WELL IF IT'S THE SAME THING, THEN GIVE ME THE DOCTOR. If it's the same thing, why does the doctor charge more? If it's the same thing, why does the doctor have to go to school longer and take a Board examination? Don't tell me the sky is black and expect me to accept that as a logical argument. Absolutely disgusting behavior. And she did not even ATTEMPT to squeeze us in or offer another appointment the same week. AND I CALLED BACK!!! AND WE WAITED 2 1/2 MONTHS! Their medical licenses should be revoked. All these people care about is money, not patients.

I was in the Baptist regional for five days last month and everybody was so nice, let me tell you…read moreabout the food that they have at that hospital. It's like a five star restaurant you can order almost anything you want for breakfast lunch or dinner and the food is absolutely delicious. I finished everything I mean everything I didn't leave anything., I wanted to go back there for Thanksgiving dinner, but I didn't think it would be a good idea, but it was the best

If I could give this zero stars, I would . I took my three-month-old baby to Baptist Health,…read moreformerly Boca Regional Hospital, because she had a high fever, swollen eyes, and hadn't eaten in over 10 hours. As a terrified parent, I expected proper care and honesty. Instead, I got misinformation, misdiagnosis, and an avoidable financial burden. At no point during check-in or triage did anyone mention that this hospital does not treat pediatric patients. That critical fact was only brought up after we had already been taken to the back and tests were started. They performed a nasal swab and collected barely a drop of urine, then told me my baby had a urinary tract infection. They discharged us with medication and assured me she was fine. Within less than 24 hours, my baby's condition got much worse. I had to rush her to another hospital, where she was immediately admitted for severe dehydration, a GI virus, and rhinovirus. The doctors there confirmed that Baptist Health completely misdiagnosed my baby. A UTI cannot be confirmed on-site -- urine must be sent to a lab, which takes at least 24 hours. To make matters worse, Baptist Health didn't even have the capability to give a baby IV fluids or perform basic bloodwork -- things that any hospital should be able to do for an infant in distress. I've never heard of a hospital that can't even provide IVs or bloodwork for a sick baby. Because of their negligence and failure to communicate, I am now stuck paying two $250 co-pays -- one for Baptist Health (Boca Regional) and another for the hospital that actually treated my baby properly. Had they simply told me up front that they don't treat pediatric patients, I would have taken my baby elsewhere and avoided both the misdiagnosis and the added expense. This experience was heartbreaking, infuriating, and completely unacceptable. No parent should have to go through this -- scared, misled, and paying for inadequate care. If you have a child, do not take them to Baptist Health (formerly Boca Regional Hospital). Go to a hospital that actually has the proper pediatric resources and staff to care for your baby safely.
