We live in New York and love pizza. Last month, Goldbelly, ran a promotion for Bartolini's Restaurant that included two deep dish and two thin crust pies. We decided to try it. The pizzas were delivered sooner than promised and were in good condition when they arrived. We have eaten two of the four and were genuinely pleased with the quality. Please look at the attached photos. Don't be frightened by the messiness of the thin crust pizza. You are looking at something that came out of a pizzeria, not a factory. The abundant meatballs were made from good quality meat and the crust was delicious. These pizzas were much bigger than others we ordered online. (Not naming names.) The sauce on this larger pie was a bit on the sweet side. I was less crazy about this than my partner. Red pepper flakes from our pantry balanced it out, however. We are fans. read more

I've lived in the area for over 20 years and have heard nothing but good things about Bartolinis. This was possibly some of the worst food I've ever wasted $50 on. Hubby got the breaded steak, expecting something similar to the breaded steak from Ricobenes or Rubinos. This was like 4 well done steak "nuggets". Hubby said it was like eating shoe leather. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. This was NOT carbonara. It was an alfredo sauce with bacon thrown in it. Carbonara is not made with cream sauce. It was downright inedible. That went directly in the trash. No one wanted it. We also ordered a pizza that was met with little enthusiasm from my son and his friends. Not sure I've ever seen them leave pizza on the table. But there was plenty left. We'll stick to Blarney, Beggars, or even Kenootz for pizza. And just about ANYWHERE else for Italian food! read more

Wow. Great meataball sandwich. Garlic parm pub fries were excellent. I only did take out, but fast service and excellent counter staff. Nice bar in there as well with Stella on tap. Open Sundays which is nice. Tried the eggplant parm sandwich. Not bad but could use a bit more of a heavy pour on sauce. Loved the hot giardinara. Mine had lots of olives. Cole slaw was good too. We have been coming to this restaurant for probably around 8 years. It is at least 45 minutes away, but we will travel for good food. I have brought numerous family members here and talk it up at work quite a bit. It has been the go-to any time we are near. First sign was when we ordered our beers on tap they tasted nothing like Three Floyd's Gumballhead. I've had this beer hundreds of times but was off. My guess is dirty beer tap lines. The second sign was our appetizer was pub fries and came out barely warm. They used to be fresh hand cut, but were now frozen crinkle cut fries. Third and most disappointing was the meatballs, my favorite, tasted like someone lost the salt container in the mixer when making them. Almost every time we have dined in one of the owners would approach the party and ask how everything was. Ghost town today. Our waitress Jill performed her job well. I think she could tell we didn't enjoy our meal. The food wasn't awful, but NOTHING like it was close to a year ago.
