We met and I accepted their proposal. They showed up for round 1. I reached out to the "Arborist" for following rounds several times but no one came. I called the main office and "Sara" from admin said I never accepted the proposal so I forwarded her the proof as requested mentioning there was a concerning communication issue with the Arborist who she had return my call which I thought unprofessional. In any event, he called and claimed he was just as confused as I. We went over all the upcoming treatments and unfortunately but predictably, they were no shows again. I do not recommend this company despite all the bragging their UK counterparts handle the Buckingham Palaces grounds. read more

We used Bartlett Tree Experts due to one of our trees looking "sick". We wished to save the tree if possible vs taking it down. Mitchell came out to inspect the tree. He was very thorough and took time to answer all our questions and address all our concerns. Once we agreed to the recommended services, the services were scheduled and provided in an incredibly fast timeframe. We have used Bartlett Tree Experts for several years now and are so pleased with all their services...from spraying our trees to trimming and taking trees down, they excel at all they do! After consulting with Warner Winthrop about the needs we had, Brandon, Andrew and Joey were here yesterday doing some limb removal. They had to be careful because of a sentimental tree (a hemlock from North Carolina) nearby planted by my dad who has since passed away. They took great care of the hemlock and did the limb removal without damaging anything underneath, and it was a huge limb to remove!! It's so wonderful having trained arborists care for our trees! We were referred to Bartlett Tree Experts, Richmond, Va by the Commonwealth of Virginia Forestry Department. The area we had concerns with was a site (a memorial garden) that we established after the death of our son. The trees were starting to show signs of disease, one in particular a little Dwarf Peach Tree that was given to us especially for our sons memorial garden was of great concern, we knew we needed experts for an assessment of the area. We have dealt many many different companies for different things around the farm. The care, professionalism, the sensitivity to why this area was so special to us and importance of ensuring it will be with us for years to come was just beyond words. I was contracted with Bartlett Tree Experts to have my tree chopped down and left in a pile of "firewood sized" pieces. When I had a moment to look at the job they had done, I found a mess on my front lawn. The pieces they left were huge! One piece of the tree was 9ft long, which is way too large for any normal person to lift on their own! I had to spend a couple hours finishing the work that I was paying them to do. When I contacted them about reducing the price, I never heard anything back. Instead, I received a bill in the mail with a slightly reduced price. It was not even close to the amount that would have made up for the workload I had to put in. UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review I got a call from Bartlett Tree Experts asking about my less than stellar review. I told him that there was still a 9ft long tree trunk in my front yard. Within a couple days he came out and cut it into shorter firewood sized pieces as was the original agreement. For this I am moving my rating from 1 star to 3. It shouldn't have taken a bad review on yelp to get the job done right, but I commend them for setting things right after the fact. read more

So my new neighbors used your service on tree removal today however the lack of consideration to the surrounding neighborhood suck. Your guys completely blocked my driveway today from noonish until around 4:30. After 30 minutes of waiting I went and asked them one them to move he said he was on lunch and would not do anything! Could not get my car out to run errands and my groomer could not park to groom my dog in my driveway. Your men are rude! The customer service that your guys are displaying in the field is unacceptable. You will see from the pictures that my home was completely blocked. I wrote a review yesterday and it seems I was mistaken and could have gotten out of my driveway. It was very deceiving from my kitchen window, so I apologize for being unfair about this. They were trying to make sure no driveways were blocked, but it was difficult in our cul-de-sac. They did a great job removing the trees and our neighbor was very satisfied with their service. They were unable to park in back and had to hand carry everything from back to front manually and were parked the only way they could as there was no back gate for them to use. read more

During a bad storm a 45ft hickory had crashed through my roof, wedging itself between rafters and giving me an unanticipated new skylight and water feature. Bartlett removed the monster tree safely and without any additional damage [no small feat...lots of power lines and a very, very difficult terrain, where they could not use their typical equipment]. They were polite, efficient, focused, and communicative and they left the site clean. They managed the extracted tree exactly as stated, cutting the hickory into pieces I can later use for art projects and placing the wood where I had requested. They did a great job. read more

The Bartlett Crew of John Paul and Dan showed up on time and did a fantastic job of trimming up 4 very large River Birch trees. Ask my numerous time if I wanted more done and were very professional. Plus this was done in pouring rain for half the time. Once again, the crew chipped and cleaned up all limbs. They worked around a pool and did not have a single branch fall in. What a great crew and Brandon takes care to make sure what needs to be done and schedules accordingly.
