I had a particular time frame in which I needed the job done, and they went out of their way to meet my scheduling needs. Moreover, even though the trees were in my back yard, they left my property looking better overall than when they started, blowing leaves and tidying debris front and back. Of course, the equipment left track marks in the wet yard. That is to be expected. I sprinkled a bag of clover seed in the tracks which was all that was needed to address it. It looks lovely, and now there is clover for the pollinators. And, did I mention their price was significantly lower than other quotes? I'll get contractors that don't return calls, missed appointment, showed up whenever they feel like it, and those who don't do the work according to standard or contract. I am very happy to be referred to Shady Tree Service. They showed up on time and exceed my expectation. I would have loved if they provide other home services as well. Overall experience Williams answers my call and text every time, which is uncommon. I had a lot of questions and concerns based on past experiences with other contractors and he is very patient and understanding in explaining everything to me. They have the license, insurance, equipment, and real staffs working on the project instead of sub-contractor or un-licensed labors. Service The estimate was quick and easy. Williams sent me a confirmation text of the estimate. Prior to the start of the project, the gave me a writing estimate so that I have everything on paper. Everyone showed up on time every day of the project. Williams showed up every day to check in on the work. He even reached out after the completion of the project to make sure everything is still ok. His staffs were amazing! Very nice group of individuals, super polite! They were fast, very professional, and take extra precautions to ensure the ground could hold the weight of the truck and make sure no damage is done anywhere. They cleaned up the ground nicely afterward. In fact, Williams stopped by to participate in the cleanup and ensure everything is up to par. They use professional tree removal equipment: aerial bucket truck to safely remove tall trees; powerful tree chippers/mulcher; stump grinder. These equipment are heavy, make sure you mark your pipes and sprinklers and test your ground to make sure it could hold the weight. Price I got 4 quotes altogether, Shady was my last quote and I'm so glad I waited. It is by far the best quote to cut down 8 large trees and grind the stump, along with 6 other stumps from the previous cut. They leveled the grind and moved the rest to my designated location, and helped me leveled the backyard where all the trees were. This absolutely surpass my expectation! read more

I had Shady Tree Service come out to give me an estimate to remove three trees. I was given the fairest price of the three companies I had come to my home. When the team got to my house, they did an amazing job explaining to me how the process would happen. One of the trees was close to my house. The team roped the upper portion of the tree ensuring it didn't hit my roof, gutters, and front porch. When they were done dropping the trees, they left my yard looking better than it was before they arrived. The speed they removed the trees was mind-blowing. Just a quick note about Shady Tree Service. When I arrived home yesterday, my neighbor brought over a business card for Shady Tree Service. My neighbor explained that William Silva (owner) had brought over the card to give to me as I wasn't home yet from work. While felling a tree behind my property, a limb fell on to our trampoline and bent a substantial portion of it. I called Mr. Silva, not only was he very apologetic about the situation, he went out last night, picked up a new trampoline, and delivered it to my home. We had 10 trees removed from our property. Stump grinding was also part of the deal. The first day of work, we watched the guys work hard and we provided water for them. They were careful to avoid ornamental saplings and did a good job. The next day, we were busy and didn't go outside to watch, but I did occasionally from the front window. The crew was not as careful on the second day, felling large limbs on top of an ornamental sapling, which stripped the branches off on one side and the lawn was damaged with many deep grooves made by the equipment's tires. Before we agreed to hire this team, the owner said when they were through with the job, 'we'd never know they were there.' When my father spoke with the owner about the tree damage, the owner got mad at my father and said he was not going to replace the tree because his foreman didn't tell him our tree was damaged. He sent a guy out to see the lawn damage...he didn't repair the lawn saying the ground was wet and squishy and left. I'm really disappointed with the foreman and owner regarding their professionalism. The glowing reviews on Yelp made me think this was going to be a good company. After multiple tree removal estimates we decided that Shady Tree was the fairest and most reasonable. When I called for an estimate the owner met at our house the same day to give an estimate. All other companies took days and some weeks before they came out. I chose Shady Tree because he was the only one that would rope down the tree so not everything was dropped. His team showed up on time the day they said they would and worked a good 8 hours removing all the trees. The next day they came and cleaned up all the trees and removed the stumps and the mulch. They were only here that day for a few hours. I could not believe that they removed all those trees in maybe a 12 hour time span. I am very pleased with their work. At one point a limb did fall from the tree and knock down our fence. I called the owner and he sent out a contractor to fix our fence. He did say they would leave the yard the same way it was when they got there and I would say it was pretty close! I can't knock them for it raining a bunch the day before so of course there will be some divots in the yard. I was a big fan of Shady Tree Service and the great prices. I recommended them to EVERYONE. Their first job for me was fantastic with no problems. Their second job for me was just okay with not much supervision. I was working in my office from home not expecting to have to supervise the job and William's workmen removed two extra trees. (Will had left to go to another job.) I was asked why I didn't stop them and I told William I was inside doing my work.... I did not pay for the extra trees to be removed. I think this upset the owner because I called them in May 2015 to come out and cut some of my trees as well as a neighbor's trees and they were booked and was told to call back in August. I called in August and they said to call back in November. Well, I just called and got put off again. I guess if you are a new customer he will come out and cut your trees. Still waiting.... After hearing our situation, William drove out within the hour to give us a quote and in less than 24 hours, he had his crew at our home to complete our work. William and his crew were extremely hard workers, very courteous, paid attention to fine details and went above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. They hauled away all of the wood and debris and even raked and used a leaf blower on the lawn and driveway to leave our property in perfect condition.
