This company was a gem and exceeded expectations. The owner is extremely helpful whenever I call in and has honestly gone way above and beyond every time I need anything. I wanted auto-pay, the owner figured out how to do it and now they offer auto-pay. We wanted our aeration done before the weekend so the owner personally came out, strapped headlights to the front of the aerator, and got it done for us on a Wednesday night. We had squirrels eat our latches and he helped us figure out the culprit and even offered to buy us new latches. Stand up company. Stand up guy. Will be shifting more of my yard maintenance over to them. read more

we just started with Weeded 3 weeks ago. We like they show up to cut the grass x3, but they DO NOT COMMUNICATE! I have emailed them twice and my husband has left them two voicemails over a week and they will not contact us back! read more

We used Weeded for several years and our lawn looked really good. Our biggest complaint is that they could never tell us what time they would arrive, which was difficult to work around for letting our dog out in our yard. Fast forward....we just received a disturbing email from Weeded stating we owed hundreds of dollars and would be taken to collections and court if we didn't pay right away. Yeah, the problem is we cancelled their service last summer when we moved (7 months ago) and we have an email confirmation proving it. Oops, they hadn't turned off auto-billing when they cancelled our service. You would think any reputable company would at least apologize for their mistake, but I guess that's asking too much. read more

I was calling and just checking prices at different services to have my leaves removed This is just one of the places that I checked, I had not booked or signed, or agreed for them to actually come and do the work In fact, I specifically asked them, directly to the receptionist and via email when they ask me the kind of service that I was looking for... that we needed to make sure that I knew what day they were coming, because my dog has free reign of the back porch and backyard, and I wanted to make sure she was secure. Not only did they not contact me to let me know they were coming But they showed up on a weekend that I was out of town for two days. My dog sitter came early Saturday... and I got home late Sunday They showed up to do the leaves without notification, other than an email that I did not reply to because I did not get it as I was out of town And let my dog out of the fence and then locked her out She was outside for a full 24 hours with no food or water I am just lucky that she was not hit by a car or left the area of my house I highly do not recommend them, they do not communicate well, or even listen to their customers Choose someone else read more

I had their service for three years. I was promised a Greenlawn what I did get is an excessive amount of weeds, brown grass, and the worst lawn in my neighborhood. they came and aerated and seeded my lawn and proceeded to throw grass seed everywhere it was not needed and thrown into my flowerbeds and around the trees where it wasn't needed. I called them to redo their job. I was never contacted again. This company is not easy to talk to, and not easy to deal with. I had, a regular person who took care of me for a couple of years when he left everything went downhill. I am extremely dissatisfied with everything. This company did for me. I do not recommend this company. I do not recommend anything they offer I do not recommend anything they promise you it will be a lie. read more

Weeded! restored my neglected foundation beds. They killed grass and weeds in the (former) beds, used a weed eater to chew up that dead vegetation to bare ground, then trenched around the perimeter and finished by spreading mulch. The mulch was a bit too thin in places, so they came back the next day to make it right. Great service at a very fair price! read more

Weeded Lawn Service is THE yard service to use in the RVA area. We own a rental home and were worried about quality of care because we live out of state. Weeded has been reliable, responsive and very good at maintaining our Richmond home's yard. I highly recommend using Weeded Lawn Service for your landscaping and yard needs. read more

I come from a military family and when I was a child, my dad used to always make me cut grass at 6am. So due to being scarred from that, as well as constantly dealing with bad allergies, I swore that when I became a homeowner, I would never cut grass again. So fast forward to 2017, after doing a solid search on Yelp and Google, I came across Weeded and was quite confident that they were the best in the area for lawn care. I have sod, which takes a little bit more maintenance than regular grass. So I was happy to see that Weeded takes care of all lawn maintenance. But for the couple of things that they don't do, like sprinkler winterizing, they work directly with a company that does. Trust me when I say Weeded could not make things any simpler or more stress free. Every time my grass gets cut or aerated/ seeded, I receive an email with a yard analysis and price break down. And for major work, they always follow up to see if everything went well. For example, I had a 2ft deep sink hole form under my sidewalk. I also added some plant borders and had a patio built that resulted in my backyard getting pretty tore up. Weeded sent out a consultant named Mitch. He was a young guy, but he was on point! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, funny, and easygoing. He gave me a few different priced options to take care of my yard needs. He also analyzed the rest of my yard and gave me suggestions to help fix other minor problem areas. When the day came for Weeded to do the repairs, they went above and beyond! I seriously couldn't be any happier with the services they offer, the quality of their jobs, and the great staff that they have! read more

We've been using Weeded! for a few years now. They always show up on time and answer all my questions. They have done a great job with weed control and getting our grass to grow beautifully. They also just recently added sod to one of our bare areas, and it looks great! read more

They have done such a wonderful job taking care of our lawn. We joined them last fall, after leaving another lawn care company. Our lawn was a complete mess. Their service technicians have done an amazing job helping our lawn to recover. From weed control to mulching our flower beds, everything is always done in a clean and professional manner. The technicians are always very polite and courteous, unlike technicians from other lawn companies. We plan on using Weeded for all our lawn care services in the future. read more

We chose Weeded based on the recommendation of Virginia Green which I trust. Overall we've been extremely satisfied; good value, great attention to detail (big improvement over our prior provider particularly for edging), and very customer oriented with top notch customer service. We've only used them for lawn maintenance, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them for things like leaf clean up and mulching read more

We've had weeded for over a year now and have been through the cycle of service. The bare spots in our yard are not doing any better but they're also not doing any worse. They've tired to come out and put down seed but nothing changed. The first year winter leaf clean out was great the second year clean out was so so. Things they do well: they cut the grass quickly and clean up clippings. We do like the leaf pickup too. Outside of that I don't feel like the weeds in our lawn have necessarily been dealt with, and our grass just feels patchy even after seeding. read more

We struggled trying to get help with the Bermuda Bluegrass in our flower beds all summer after our lawn service said it would die out during last winter but it came back with a vengeance. We signed a contract with the same company and prepaid for lawn services and added shrub services but were told all we could do was pull the deep roots (I'm talking 12-14" in areas) out of the clay because we couldn't spray. We tried so hard to take Care of the problem by hand. I had just about given up when people wouldn't return my call or said they would call me back. I went online and read the reviews for Weeded. I called them and left a message and someone called me right back, even listened to my frustrations. David came out a few days later to assess our flower bed situation and was awesome. I signed on for the weed treatments and they were able to do a great job helping me mow the yard as well! They were able to get this started this week. I will be looking into signing on with them for additional future lawn services. Five stars for friendly staff, prompt and exceptional service, and working with me!!! David was awesome, he gets five stars as well!!! read more

I was worried that I was going to have to spend hundreds of dollars to help my trees or thousands to replace them due to something growing all over them. David told me that it was pretty benign and what I could do to prevent it in the future if it bothered me. Months later it turns out he was right that it would go away with the new growth- trees look great again. Joan A. read more

Your company blew the leaves from my neighbor's yard to my yard with NO CARE! My RING cam picked it up. I had to come out and tell you all that i just paid someone to do my yard why are you blowing the leaves to my yard. I think you all can be more conscious of what you all are doing. This was a NO BRAINER. read more

My leaves were raked to the curb in Henrico County in November. By February Henrico County still had not come despite 5 phone calls. I had 5 people coming over to stay with me in February and the leaves were taking up 3 parking spaces. Desperate, I called Weeded! and they happened to have a truck in the area. The leaves were gone in ONE HOUR. My call was handled perfectly: extremely friendly and professional. And when I got home, there (literally) was not one leaf to show the pile had ever been there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I guess I am the first to review this company. My lawn was entirely weeds so we went apocalyptic and killed everything. They promised it would turn out ok...and it did. I now have a beautiful green lawn 3 months later. It took a couple months and looked a bit rough, but now all my neighbors want to know who I used. I tried this before on my own with less than stellar results... They missed seeding a part of the side yard and before I could call to complain they had already re-aerated and seeded. That is the mark of a good company in my opinion. Looks great now. They were great to work with and sent me weekly updates via email on the work to be done. This is not the first lawn service I have used, but has been by far the best. Highly recommend! read more

I contacted Weeded! to help me with my rental property yard. David came out the next day. He arrived on time, went around the yard with me, made suggestions. Dana, a member of the team, kept me updated on the status of my project. Kevin, Darnell & Ryan arrived early, we went through what I wanted done. They got to work and did a great job! read more

I did signup one year "weed treatment, fertilizer and aeration etc" contract last year and David was very nice to talk with and paid for a flat full year upfront. Been trying to reach out to David on email and phone since 3weeks to talk about the lawn conditions not improving much and to know details on when my 7 treatments are actually performed(as I have zero visibility of when/what treatments were made all this year) Tried emailing David and called his office almost 4-5times, but no response. The person whom I spoke with on the phone to enquire on my treatments was very rude. One star due to the customer service and ignoring existing customers after signing the contact;( read more

they blew all our beautifully spread mulch away using their big blowers to remove the leaves quickly so they could move to the next job. Next door neighbor had same experience. Very dissatisfying result. Will NOT use them again. read more

I'll start by saying this project was not your average lawn leaf clean up. I recently purchased a property and inherited about 15 years of accumulated leaves. Immediately knowing I needed professional help getting the backyard (area of work was approximately .25-.33 acres of the total lot) to a more manageable state. I called 4-5 other companies who sent out job supervisors that ultimately called to tell me this type of work was not within scope...needless to say I didn't understand why these landscape companies were turning down a sizeable project. All this said, here is where WEEDED came into the picture. I called and spoke directly to the owner David. I told him my story and circumstance and his immediate enthusiasm was very much appreciated. He gave me a clear estimate; we discussed exactly what I should expect and the timeline for the project etc. He assured me that his company was the one for the job, and after two full days of work it showed. I was really impressed with their ability to work fast and efficient with the leaf collection. Honestly I knew the backyard needed major help and I'm really glad WEEDED saved the day and my back. WEEDED went above and beyond my expectations for all levels of service. The emails, phone calls, follow ups (email and phone calls), overall project updates etc. were all 5 Stars. I'd go 6 if Yelp would let me! Give them a call for your landscaping needs, you won't be disappointed. read more

When Mitch came out for the initial overview of my property, I was very optimistic. He was kind, personable, and extremely professional. However, I have been extremely disappointed with the level of work for the high prices. The workers would show up, do a cursory cut of the lawn, and blow around a few leaves. Each visit was about five minutes. $40 per visit. I was pleased with the trenching, that is worth the cost. However, my biggest problem was the price of the mulching for the quality of work. I work from home, so I was able to watch as they haphazardly threw a superficial layer of mulch on the beds. Didn't bother to make it look nice. That was $600! I used their service for 1.5 months and my total was over $900 for 4 (5 minute) visits and a mulch/trench job. My yard is not big at all. Do not recommend. (Mitch was great, though!) read more

I've been using services provided by Weeded for the last 2 summers and I've been extremely happy! I found Weeded through a Google search and submitted an online request for someone to come look at my yard. Within a week someone from the office had contacted me and scheduled a time for Mitch to come by and look at my lawn. Mitch came at the scheduled time, called me to discuss and told me to call him back ASAP to set up a time for service ( had a massive tree in my yard that needed to be removed before Mitch could quote me for service). It has now been over a week since I last spoke to him. I have called the number he gave me a total of two times and left two voicemails letting him know that the tree has been removed and that I would like him to come out ASAP to aerate and seed my lawn (he told me it needed to be done before the end of October). I have not heard anything back from the company and I am very disappointed. I was hoping to give them my business but now I think I am forced to begin my search again from the beginning. read more

Had our leaves done today and they did a fantastic job. We had all of our leaves on the ground from fall and I hadn't raked one! They came early and busted their tails for 3 hours. They actually vacuum them into their truck so they don't have to make multiple trips. Since they charge by the hour it was nice to see them working quickly but thoroughly. I almost felt they wanted to save me money! I would recommend them (at least leaf removal since that's all I have had done from them) to anyone! read more

My husband and I are very pleased with Weeded Lawn Service. Great service all around, excellent communication, very nice folks, and good prices. We have a relatively large yard with many areas to tend to--roses, bushes, nooks and crannies, trees intent on shedding vast quantities of leaves and twigs everywhere--and the team takes care of it all very well. Highly recommended. read more

I usually do yard work myself. But I often run out of time, or the work just piles up. That's when I call Weeded. So, if I don't get to that last leaf cleanup, or can't find the hedge trimmer, or weekends are too busy to get mulch down, I call Weeded. They are super responsive, have great customer service, and stand behind their work. Last month, they trimmed all my shrubs and hedges after several years of neglect. I needed someone to care for the lawn at my empty house for a few months. I chose Weeded, and am so glad I did. They did a great job! David and crew are awesome! I was contacted promptly for an appointment right after an inquiry, and a customized plan was created to address all the needs I had for lawn service. I live in Chesterfield/Midlothian. My zip code is 23112. The website specifically states they service this locationl. I called and spoke to someone from this company and scheduled a next day meeting to get a quote on some yard work. The meeting was scheduled for 3:30 and David (the owner) called me at 3:19 and left me a voicemail stating that I live too far down Hull St and he wasn't going to come. I organized my work schedule to make this meeting happen and he cancelled 10 minutes before my meeting because I was too far away even though his website clearly says he services my location. I would strongly suggest not using this company. read more
