This company was a gem and exceeded expectations. The owner is extremely helpful whenever I call in and has honestly gone way above and beyond every time I need anything. I wanted auto-pay, the owner figured out how to do it and now they offer auto-pay. We wanted our aeration done before the weekend so the owner personally came out, strapped headlights to the front of the aerator, and got it done for us on a Wednesday night. We had squirrels eat our latches and he helped us figure out the culprit and even offered to buy us new latches. Stand up company. Stand up guy. We used Weeded for several years and our lawn looked really good. Our biggest complaint is that they could never tell us what time they would arrive, which was difficult to work around for letting our dog out in our yard. Fast forward....we just received a disturbing email from Weeded stating we owed hundreds of dollars and would be taken to collections and court if we didn't pay right away. Yeah, the problem is we cancelled their service last summer when we moved (7 months ago) and we have an email confirmation proving it. Oops, they hadn't turned off auto-billing when they cancelled our service. You would think any reputable company would at least apologize for their mistake, but I guess that's asking too much. read more

I was promised a Greenlawn what I did get is an excessive amount of weeds, brown grass, and the worst lawn in my neighborhood. they came and aerated and seeded my lawn and proceeded to throw grass seed everywhere it was not needed and thrown into my flowerbeds and around the trees where it wasn't needed. I called them to redo their job. I was never contacted again. This company is not easy to talk to, and not easy to deal with. Weeded! restored my neglected foundation beds. They killed grass and weeds in the (former) beds, used a weed eater to chew up that dead vegetation to bare ground, then trenched around the perimeter and finished by spreading mulch. I come from a military family and when I was a child, my dad used to always make me cut grass at 6am. So due to being scarred from that, as well as constantly dealing with bad allergies, I swore that when I became a homeowner, I would never cut grass again. So fast forward to 2017, after doing a solid search on Yelp and Google, I came across Weeded and was quite confident that they were the best in the area for lawn care. I have sod, which takes a little bit more maintenance than regular grass. So I was happy to see that Weeded takes care of all lawn maintenance. But for the couple of things that they don't do, like sprinkler winterizing, they work directly with a company that does. Trust me when I say Weeded could not make things any simpler or more stress free. Every time my grass gets cut or aerated/ seeded, I receive an email with a yard analysis and price break down. And for major work, they always follow up to see if everything went well. For example, I had a 2ft deep sink hole form under my sidewalk. I also added some plant borders and had a patio built that resulted in my backyard getting pretty tore up. Weeded sent out a consultant named Mitch. He was a young guy, but he was on point! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, funny, and easygoing. He gave me a few different priced options to take care of my yard needs. He also analyzed the rest of my yard and gave me suggestions to help fix other minor problem areas. When the day came for Weeded to do the repairs, they went above and beyond! We've had weeded for over a year now and have been through the cycle of service. The bare spots in our yard are not doing any better but they're also not doing any worse. They've tired to come out and put down seed but nothing changed. The first year winter leaf clean out was great the second year clean out was so so. Things they do well: they cut the grass quickly and clean up clippings. We do like the leaf pickup too. We struggled trying to get help with the Bermuda Bluegrass in our flower beds all summer after our lawn service said it would die out during last winter but it came back with a vengeance. We signed a contract with the same company and prepaid for lawn services and added shrub services but were told all we could do was pull the deep roots (I'm talking 12-14" in areas) out of the clay because we couldn't spray. We tried so hard to take Care of the problem by hand. I had just about given up when people wouldn't return my call or said they would call me back. I went online and read the reviews for Weeded. I called them and left a message and someone called me right back, even listened to my frustrations. David came out a few days later to assess our flower bed situation and was awesome. I guess I am the first to review this company. My lawn was entirely weeds so we went apocalyptic and killed everything. They promised it would turn out ok...and it did. I now have a beautiful green lawn 3 months later. It took a couple months and looked a bit rough, but now all my neighbors want to know who I used. I tried this before on my own with less than stellar results... They missed seeding a part of the side yard and before I could call to complain they had already re-aerated and seeded. That is the mark of a good company in my opinion. Looks great now. They were great to work with and sent me weekly updates via email on the work to be done. When Mitch came out for the initial overview of my property, I was very optimistic. He was kind, personable, and extremely professional. However, I have been extremely disappointed with the level of work for the high prices. The workers would show up, do a cursory cut of the lawn, and blow around a few leaves. Each visit was about five minutes. $40 per visit. I was pleased with the trenching, that is worth the cost. However, my biggest problem was the price of the mulching for the quality of work. I work from home, so I was able to watch as they haphazardly threw a superficial layer of mulch on the beds. Didn't bother to make it look nice. That was $600! I used their service for 1.5 months and my total was over $900 for 4 (5 minute) visits and a mulch/trench job. My yard is not big at all. Do not recommend. (Mitch was great, though!) read more

I'll start by saying this project was not your average lawn leaf clean up. I recently purchased a property and inherited about 15 years of accumulated leaves. Immediately knowing I needed professional help getting the backyard (area of work was approximately .25-.33 acres of the total lot) to a more manageable state. I called 4-5 other companies who sent out job supervisors that ultimately called to tell me this type of work was not within scope...needless to say I didn't understand why these landscape companies were turning down a sizeable project. I found Weeded through a Google search and submitted an online request for someone to come look at my yard. Within a week someone from the office had contacted me and scheduled a time for Mitch to come by and look at my lawn. Mitch came at the scheduled time, called me to discuss and told me to call him back ASAP to set up a time for service ( had a massive tree in my yard that needed to be removed before Mitch could quote me for service). It has now been over a week since I last spoke to him. I have called the number he gave me a total of two times and left two voicemails letting him know that the tree has been removed and that I would like him to come out ASAP to aerate and seed my lawn (he told me it needed to be done before the end of October). Had our leaves done today and they did a fantastic job. We had all of our leaves on the ground from fall and I hadn't raked one! They came early and busted their tails for 3 hours. They actually vacuum them into their truck so they don't have to make multiple trips. Since they charge by the hour it was nice to see them working quickly but thoroughly. I called and spoke to someone from this company and scheduled a next day meeting to get a quote on some yard work. The meeting was scheduled for 3:30 and David (the owner) called me at 3:19 and left me a voicemail stating that I live too far down Hull St and he wasn't going to come. I organized my work schedule to make this meeting happen and he cancelled 10 minutes before my meeting because I was too far away even though his website clearly says he services my location.
