He returned my call within minutes and an hour later ,on a Saturday, was in my driveway. He was able to get up there and secure the trunk with rope until he could return with his lift truck to put in new cabling in the appropriate spot. By 430 he was done, our tree was saved and our house safe. I already have him coming back to do some trimming and removing another dead tree. I am a small business owner myself and I cannot express how happy I am to receive the type of service I provide my customers.

Based on about a year and a half of trying to work with them, communicating with them is extremely slow and frustrating. They are very bad at managing and communicating schedules. Last January they took down a very large tree in a very visible location in our yard. They had to take down part of an adjacent hedge to access the tree, which I understand, but they did discuss it with us ahead of time. After the fact, they told us verbally that they would replace the shrub. After 9 months and many, many attempts to follow up with them, they have not replaced the shrub.

I have used several tree services over the years, and while I have had good experiences with all of them, none have been as efficient, professional, and impressive as Witkowski & Sons. The crew today consisted of Joe, the leader, along with Abel and Willy. From the moment they arrived, they were friendly, professional, courteous, and extremely careful--especially around my septic fields, which was very important to me. I watched them from my window, and I couldn't get over how hard they worked--and yet they made it look almost effortless. They worked as a team, knew exactly what they were doing, and took great care with my property. When they were finished, everything was cleaned up beautifully. My only advice to anyone considering Witkowski & Sons is this: If you have to wait for them, they are absolutely worth the wait. I will definitely be calling them again in the future. In fact, I already want them back to do some light pruning of several rare ornamental trees in the front of my property. I trust them completely with my trees and my property. My message went completely unanswered. So, I was ghosted by this company. I don't waste other people's time, and I take exception when other's waste mine. It's a total lack of professionalism and common courtesy. Moreover, it's a hell of a way [not] to run a business! I see from reading through other reviews on here that I'm not the first and only customer to complain of this specific issue with this company. Beware! They will steal YOUR time! Update 6/7/26: They just proved my point by responding to this review 10 months after it was posted. It would seem that timeliness escapes these folks at every turn. Too bad their recall of the facts faded so much with the passage of time! I left my original review after a week elapsed between my reaching out via phone and text to both Tiffanie and John. The following morning at the start of business, Tiffanie began psycho-calling and texting me, leaving hysterical voice messages and sending repeated texts. Suddenly, she had plenty of time on her hands. I was forced to block their numbers in order to stop the harassment and to be able to continue with my own business day.

I found Lawn Monkey online and they had many high ratings. Jeff was timely, friendly, and professional, came each time when he said he would. Now as far as the lawn goes, they did a great job cleaning up all the leaves scattered about, cut down part of an overgrown tree and moved the large logs, weeded my front and backyard near the house, trimmed the bushes in front so they look less ridiculous, and cleared everything out by our tree line. It looks SO much better now. I'm very happy with the job they did and would definitely recommend them to my friends in the area or on the shoreline.

Called, they told me it would now be 660 plus tax, and they'd resend it. I asked them to put me in their schedule and send the quote and they said they'd confirm the following week and could do it in 3-4 weeks. It's now Sunday of that following week and we never got the written quote or a phone call. In the mean time, we had two other people quote, selected one (insured and licensed - Centi Landscaping), and they removed the tree in 2 hours for $400 inc. tax 5 days ago (excellent job; no adjacent plants damaged). These guys were great as The Care of Trees. Will not bother calling them again though.
