A fabulous time was had by all splashing and swimming in this large, most ample water park. After a few times down the three intermediate slides with his da-da, my little guy was soon braving the tower and rapids himself. At one point, the little dickens even slid under the security net by the drain a few times but after retrieving him, we all had a good laugh. Time flew by as it always does when children are amidst joyful bliss and we then realized that it was time for LUNCH We were lucky enough to procure a table with chairs and an umbrella to get a brief respite from the hot sun. I stayed with the table and fed my brave little tadpole while my friends got in the food stand line. The menu items were limited to hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwurst a and chicken sandwiches. As a bit of a foodie, it has been my experience that the less items offered on menus, the higher the quality and preparation of said items. Dave came over to tell me that they were out of hamburgers. Dang! Probably the high line item. He said that he and his wife Dawn would be getting chicken sandwiches and figured 'make it chicken sandwiches around!' After ordering, they came back to the table with soft drinks and chips which did not disappoint as nothing beats BBQ Lay's and a cold Pepsi! After a brief 25 minute wait, Dave's name was called to retrieve our sandwiches from the grill. Good things come to those who wait! Dave gave me my foil wrapped deliciousness and I proceeded to unwrap. What I found was beyond what I could imagine. They started with a 4oz cube of chicken breast just smaller than half a tennis ball. This was then grilled to charred, dried perfection that rendered about 2.5oz of cooked chicken breast which was neatly placed in the middle of a wholesome bun teeming with delicious enriched white flour. As if this wasn't enough, Dave managed to get us some mayonnaise! It turned out to be a perfect afternoon snack for only $6.50. The people in charge of Chick-Fil-A would be wise to get some pointers from this hidden gem!

Dear LA Fitness Management,…read more I am writing to formally complain about my repeated experiences with Angelico Garcia and the way I have been treated at the gym. I have been an LA Fitness member for many years, and previously I had an account for myself and both of my sons. At one point, my wife wanted to have her own membership again, so we canceled our previous memberships and opened a new Family of Four membership. Angelico Garcia assisted us with opening the new account. At that time, he was very polite, professional, and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, my experience with him changed completely afterward. On one occasion, I had an issue with checking in. The check-in was going through, but the check-in mark was not appearing in my LA Fitness app. I asked Angelico for assistance and explained the issue. His response was, "I don't know." I then asked him to direct me to someone who could help me resolve the issue. Again, he responded that he did not know. I found this response very inappropriate because he works for LA Fitness, and I was simply asking him to direct me to the appropriate person or department. Instead of helping me, he pushed his chair back, turned away from me, and stopped engaging with me. When I told him that I felt his behavior was rude, he responded, "I'm rude, so I'm not going to talk to you." I found this behavior extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. There have also been repeated issues regarding the complimentary personal-training session. I have been asked to come to the gym on approximately four separate occasions for a trainer appointment, but each time there was an issue. On different occasions, I was told that the trainer did not show up or that the appointment was not properly scheduled. I repeatedly made the effort to come to the gym based on the information I was given, only to find that the appointment was not actually arranged. Today, I had another similar experience. When I arrived, I spoke with Angelico and told him I was going to put my bag in the locker room. He told me to go ahead and said that when I came back, he would arrange the trainer for me. I went to the locker room and returned approximately one minute later, but he was no longer there and I could not find him. After I finished my workout, I spoke with him again. I was then told that the trainer had not shown up and that he would call me to schedule another appointment. Based on my previous experiences, I have not received the promised follow-up calls or proper scheduling. At this point, I feel that I have been given the runaround multiple times and have been unnecessarily inconvenienced. I also feel that his attitude toward me has become increasingly hostile. I have noticed disrespectful behavior and looks, and he does not communicate with me in a professional or courteous manner. Because I previously told him that I felt his behavior was rude, I am concerned that his subsequent treatment of me may be retaliatory. I cannot say what his intentions are, but the repeated pattern of behavior has made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome at the gym. I have been a loyal LA Fitness member for many years, and I do not believe any member should be treated this way, regardless of any disagreement or interaction that may have occurred. I am requesting that management please review this situation, speak with the staff involved, and ensure that I am treated respectfully and professionally going forward. I would also appreciate it if management could properly arrange my complimentary personal-training session without requiring me to repeatedly come to the gym only to discover that the appointment was not scheduled or the trainer was unavailable. I am bringing this matter to management because I would like it resolved professionally and fairly. There are 2 studios, which are for yoga, kickboxing, Pilates, etc. There are some classes CTX, Alpha etc on the upper floor. Monday through Friday, there's classes from 5am to 12pm and 5pm to 9pm. Saturday and Sunday have shorter hours. The club just updated the first floor for pickle ball, which was addional to basketball and volleyball. Swimming pools , hot tubs and sauna are large. Clean towels are available in all classes and are at every corner. However, the membership is higher compared to other gyms and is more expensive. Never the less, it's an amazing gym with a great cafe and salon! It is worth the money!

Julia, Jennifer, Dayonara and Jeremy have all been fantastic. My kids have made such great progress, it is mind blowing. They seem a little pricey but there are options to keep costs down if you can be flexible with your schedule. And frankly, all swim schools may be pricey now, I have no idea. After the 3rd time taking the same class, I was denied the "swimmers guaranteed". Which states that if your swimmer repeats a level 2x they will be offered assistance the 3rd time. If they have to repeat the level a 4th time, it's is supposed to be "on us". I'm being told that because two of my sons attempts at the level were "camps" ie 4x a week for 2 weeks and 4x a week for a month, that I didn't qualify for extra help in his 3rd go round because "camps don't count" and likewise the 4th "on us" session per the technicality. I have been at the school for numerous turnovers that have directly affected the quality and consistency of their programs. I have never once complained. Now, when my son is struggling, I have been shown no understanding or treatment like a valued customer of 8 years. Shame on you.

We have done their JSCs for both of my kids this summer and have now signed up for weekly lessons. My daughter literally screamed and cried at the last place we were at and here she has had 0 tears! The water is warm so my kids are not shivering during lessons. The instructors are great and keep the kids on task and focused on the skills there are working on. I have noticed that sometimes they have a second (floater) teacher that goes to each lane and helps out as a second teacher for a few minutes and then move on to another class. At the end of each class teachers give you a little summary of how your child did. Sometimes the kids even earn ribbons for accomplishing different goals, which my kids absolutely love. I think it's a great motivator for them as well. The facility has some great added touches with amenities like an area with blow dryers, showers with soap in the pool area. It's well kept and clean. My kids are growing and becoming more confident and comfortable in the water. I could not be happier here!

We've been at the school for over a year and my son has moved up several levels over that time. But he spent one week at one level with one instructor then tested up and has now been at the same level with another instructor for 7 months. He's pretty defeated and wants to quit and I can't blame him. So we're just trying to use our make up tokens and move on from the school.
