Hands down, this was the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside while staying soft on the inside. The meat tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. It was a little greasy, but in the best way possible--it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the same sandwich and agreed that it's the best Cuban we've had so far. I also tried a non-alcoholic mango daiquiri, which was refreshing and full of flavor. The plantains were another standout and the best I've had in the city to date. This is definitely a place I'd return to for the Cuban sandwich alone. Everything I saw being served to other tables looked incredible as well. If you're visiting Little Havana, I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. It's a spot that lives up to the hype. I wish we had this place is Phoenix. I'm going to miss it.

During live performances, one waitress would get up on stage and play instruments and at other times bartenders would join in. I was truly smiling from ear to ear all night. I drank delicious mojitos all night and even with a packed venue the drinks came out extremely fast! Although the restaurant was packed, our waitress remained extremely kind and attentive throughout the night. To me, the food was just good. We had the Jamón Serrano Croquetas to start. They were a little cold for my taste and not the best I've ever had but they weren't bad. My husband really loved his skirt steak ropa vieja and didn't leave a single grain of rice. I opted for the rabo encendido pasta. I like that they weren't skimpy on the rabo. The downside of this place is that to maximize space, you're packed in like sardines. The tables are basically on top of each other. A larger sized person would not fit getting in and out of their seat and my husband was constantly backing up into the people seated behind him. Overall, this is a place you definitely visit for the atmosphere above food. I will 100% be coming back for drinks, appetizers and more live music. It is an incredible spot especially for those looking for Cuban nostalgia.

The speakeasy atmosphere is outstanding--walking through the iconic red phone booth feels like stepping into another era, only with much better bourbon. Victoria was an absolute rockstar. She took some fantastic photos of our group (which is no small feat after a couple of perfectly made Manhattans), anticipated everything we needed, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars on our first visit. Speaking of Manhattans... they're exactly the way we like them: balanced, boozy, and dangerously easy to order "just one more." Pair that with a great cigar, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both upscale and relaxed, and you've got one of the best spots in Miami to unwind. We came for a drink. We stayed for the cigars. We left wondering if we should install a red phone booth at home. We'll definitely be back--and hopefully Victoria will still be there to remind us that "one more Manhattan" is always a questionable life decision.

Just try anything or ask.to be surprised. Remy was our server and he is freaking awesome and has skills. He helped us choose our cocktails cause everything was sounding like a vibe. The food options sound delish and the sliders and pizza seemed to be a hit as we saw that mostly. We were here for drinks though and we stuck to it. Only down fall for us is that we aren't cigar smokers, so the room was filled with it as we didn't know its a cigar lounge as well, but to each his own. Come drink eat and ber merry!

Out of control for what likely cost the restaurant $3 in booze. We then wanted to grab something to eat. There were at least 5 nice booths available and we grabbed one. We were then told we had to move. Despite the open and more comfortable places to eat, we were placed at a tiny, round, 3' high wooden table that could barely fit food for two. We ordered an appetizer and a cuban sandwich. The sandwich was small, dry, and lacked flavor. They never returned to even ask if we wanted water. Very disappointing. That said, it's a vibrant place that has great live music and a great Cuban vibe. (It's very loud, so know that). So a mixed bag at Ball & Chain. I might return but it would not be my first choice.

Our server seemed much more focused on pushing us to order more expensive items and constantly upselling things from the menu than actually making our experience enjoyable. I'm definitely not desperate for a birthday dessert or anything like that, but when you're celebrating a milestone birthday at a restaurant, you would at least expect a small gesture maybe a simple dessert with a candle or even just some acknowledgment. Unfortunately, there was nothing from our waiter. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially for a special occasion. We won't be going back, and based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. It felt like the priority was upselling rather than providing good hospitality.

I used to go to the club in my college years. After the hotel was sold, the club moved to the Rocky Horror venue in Coconut Grove. In 1999 after that closed too, the club became a roaming pop up at different South Florida venues. Which is how I came to be at Bar Nancy in Little Havana on a Saturday night. They host a monthly Kitchen Club night. Almost everything was closed in Little Havana by the time I arrived so it was surprisingly easy to find metered street parking only two blocks away. Bar Nancy did not have a cover charge which was nice. The bar is decorated like a pirate ship with many nautical touches. It is named for the brigantine Nancy, which transported war supplies during the American Revolution. The room the bar is located in was small, dark, hot, and crowded. Many people enjoyed themselves on the dance floor in front of the DJ. They also have a backyard area that was popular. My favorite room was the one between the two. It was decorated like the Captains quarters with a couch and comfortable chairs. I could still enjoy the music and more importantly, the air conditioning. During the night I had a delicious Amaretto Sour. Despite the dive bar surroundings, it was a hefty $15. While that is expensive for a cocktail, it was a small price to pay to relive my youth for one evening.

I don't drink alcohol anymore, but my friends were able to get attention pretty quickly from the bartenders. There was a section there where I felt like I was being packed like sardines, but once we moved we were in comfortable spot. My feet started killing me since I wore heels the whole night, so to my delight, I found out there was an area to sit, and that pretty much saved my feet from falling off. The rooftop is such a vibe. We were able to get a section with a table by the balcony railing and see the downtown area in all it's glory with the lights and the Brickell sign in the background. I would never go here based solely on the way we were treated at the door…read more We were a party of five, four women and my nephew. We were admittedly late for our original reservation, which I completely understand can be an issue. However, while we were standing there, there were several reservations still showing as available online. Instead of simply explaining the situation professionally, the doorman/security person was arrogant, dismissive and kept changing the reason we couldn't come in. First, he made it seem like the problem was that we had missed our reservation time. Then it became a dress-code issue because my nephew was wearing a plain white shirt without a collar. We understood the dress code once it was actually explained. The problem was never that the restaurant has a dress code. The problem was the way we were spoken to and handled. What really made the entire situation ridiculous was that after telling us we could not come in, he then said he would allow our party of FIVE inside if we agreed to a $2,000 minimum spend. So which was it? Were we too late for the reservation? Was it the shirt? Or were all of those issues suddenly acceptable if we agreed to spend $2,000? That is what left such a bad taste in my mouth. If someone doesn't meet your dress code, say that clearly and respectfully from the beginning. If the reservation has been forfeited because we're late, say that. But changing the explanation and then suddenly offering entry for a $2,000 minimum spend made the entire interaction feel less like hospitality and more like a money grab. And unfortunately, after reading other reviews, our experience doesn't appear to be completely isolated. There are other complaints about the treatment at the door/security, dress-code situations, minimum-spend requirements and guests feeling that the rules change depending on how much money they're willing to spend. We came ready to eat, drink, have a good time and spend money. Instead, we took our money somewhere else and had a great night. Miami has far too many amazing restaurants that understand hospitality for me to ever spend a dollar at Habibi again. The attitude at the door was enough for me. Never again.
