Then this year they were to inspect and flush the wet sprinkler system but just signed it off with no flush or inspection. Some fire extinguishers were expiring this year and their service cost are ridiculously high. I've switched to another company and their charge is less then half the price. After several years with this company, I'm done. time to move on.

All charges I wasn't informed about until my strata told me about it. Very non transparent and sneaky. Here's the kicker. When I called to inquire about their warranty, they told me they only honor the fire alarms for 1 year including malfunctions. My fire alarm wasn't meant to be replaced until 2029. I've seen better warranty buying fire alarms from cost co. If there was ever a check list of losing my trust as a customer, this company ticked them all. Hire at your own risk.

The technician was here for about 15 minutes, plugged in the replacement. 1st line on the bill says "2 units (for 1 technician) @ $150. = $300.00. ALSO there was a "Vehicle Service Charge" for an additional $80.00. When asked why this is so high for 15 minutes the Company responded "The Labor charge for our calls are a minimum of 2 hours. We do not roll a truck for under $300.00 labour cost. So I assume the next client they went to on that same day got the same exorbitant type of billing. This Company is also not accredited by the BBB in Vancouver. Don't know why our Strata uses them when complaints are so high. It's a horrible situation to be placed in. I later found that another Company can replace these smoke alarms and we don't have to use these people so I think I will explain this to the other 72 2-bedroom suites in our building. I visited Acme Fire to get an older CO2 fire extinguisher tank hydroscopically tested, recertified…read moreand filled. They were happy to do this overnight. I'd first called a couple of other places nearer my home -- they were "backed up" and would need 3 weeks or more. Acme were happy to see me, as a walk-in consumer, not a commercial customer (which I'm sure is most of their business). Their tank guy Hormuz, really knows his stuff. I wanted the tank fitted with a siphon tube (so as to draw liquid CO2 from the bottom). The tank I brought in wasn't suitable for that, so Acme sold me a new tank, with a siphon tube installed, filled, for not much more than the cost of the hydroscopic test. I was very impressed.
