A friend suggested Dr. Kaniecki and it was a life-saver. He attempted an 8 hr process to relieve my two-week long migraine. When that didn't work he sent me to Presby for some tests. I had a spinal tap that made my headache immediately go away. He instantly knew what was wrong with me and started a new treatment process. Only spinal taps would relieve the headaches because I had pseudotumor cerebri, not migraines, and my body was making too much spinal fluid. He let me call him at all hours and would meet me in the hospital when possible to have the spinal tap done if after hrs. He let me come in atleast weekly if not more to get the spinal taps done even without an appointment. I highly recommend him and have several times to people I know. He is the best!

Then she waited for me to arrive, took me behind a locked door, and created a confrontation. She put her hand up in my face and told me to be quiet so she could speak to my husband about MY medical condition. When I told her to get her hand out of my face, she started saying I was violent. I went and sat down to fill out a medical record request form. She KEPT saying I was violent, so I left the room and let my husband talk to her. She told my husband I was violent because of the way I WAS MOVING MY HEAD. The office manager refused to give me a new appointment, refused to give me a referral to a new doctor, and refused to dismiss me from care so that I could see someone else. THEN she flagged my medical record for a "depressive disorder" I DO NOT HAVE. Mind you this is after the last two neuros there essentially told me to go away because they didn't know what to do with me. STAY AWAY.

I have absolutely no complaints about the office staff and technicians. In fact I have praise for them, especially Tierney, Joe and Monica. They were lovely, gentle, patient, they explained everything about the tests. They were accommodating & supportive, knowledgeable and very professional. His testing technology for vestibular function and hearing is superior to other offices. I've visited similar doctors in Washington, DC, who pale in comparison. Dr. Furman was able to diagnose my condition in 1 day and get me into physical therapy that improved my quality of life. He even recommended me to other high-quality physicians for other medical problems that I was experiencing. Dr. Furman is caring and patient. He really listens. I wish all doctors were as great at practicing medicine!
