Recently my mother, 91, was admitted to St Clair hospital in Mount Lebanon Pennsylvania…read more One of the attending physicians from her group Dr. Erlanger wanted to release her on a day where she was completely incoherent and was not able to wake up. When she did wake up to use the restroom she was very anxious, screaming, yelling, swatting and myself and the staff and they had to call a male aid in to lift her and put her back into bed, because she did not want to get off the toilet she just wanted to sleep there. This is COMPLETELY UNLIKE HER! My mother has Alzheimer's disease, but never has she ever been that aggressive! I told the doctor I did not want her released that day and that I wanted them to run more tests to see what was going on. My mother had been put on IV antibiotics, (2 iv doses) for a UTI that they didn't even pick up until a day after her admission into the hospital! The day she was very lethargic was the second day she was on the IV antibiotics. Later that day I had spoken with my sister-in-law and she said her grandfather, who had the same demeanor as my mother very sweet smiling all the time, etc. had been put on IV antibiotics years ago and had the exact same reaction! They did not release my mother that day, but they did release her the following day. Doctor Erlanger was at the hospital and I asked to speak to him I told him that my mother was so much better that day and that it obviously was the IV antibiotics that caused her to be so aggressive and lethargic. He was very arrogant and smug in his response and said no that wouldn't cause that, but when I looked up neurological side effects those things were listed for that particular drug. I was just so taken aback by the attitude I received from Doctor Erlanger. He was dismissive of my concerns, and wouldn't even listen to me about the side effects of the IV antibiotics that my mother was taking. I would never see him as my PCP, just totally rude, and arrogant. Most of the nursing staff and aids were fantastic and there was one aid in particular his name was Toby Small and he was so caring and comforting to me and my mother.

Dr. Fatigatti is one of the best doctors I have had. I have had excellent doctors throughout my…read morelife and I'm so blessed to have found Dr Fatigatti. She really cares, she listens, and she gets to know YOU! Her referrals (when needed) have been very good as well. When my last doctor retired I was nervous about finding someone new as I entered my senior years (55). At 62, and looking back on her care over the last 7 yrs., I may have found the best one yet. Health insurance has changed so much over the years. It will probably only get worse. If you are able to get in with Dr. Nina Fatigatti, you'll be connected to someone who will build that trust relationship and get to know you as a person as much as a patient. She is a 5 star .

Went for a partial medical form (i-693) review, as a civil surgeon must fill this out. It's part of…read morethe green card process. For individuals who came on certain visa types and had their medical exam abroad with a panel physician within 12 months of their green card application date, a full medical exam isn't necessary when applying for their green card. The woman with whom we initially spoke said they had "never done a partial form before." I pointed her to the section at the bottom of the first page of the form which explains when a partial is required, which she read but repeated her statement about not doing a partial. She finally went to the doctor, Dr. Bora Janicijevic, and asked him to come talk to us. He came out just long enough to say, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else." Given that this is a very invasive exam, it's no small matter to argue with having to do it all over again. Not to mention that the cost is around $500, which was already paid for the same exam abroad. This should disqualify this doctor from being a civil surgeon, as it is a blatant exploitation of those going through legal immigration processes to force them to undergo a lengthy, invasive, and costly exam when only a verification of their vaccine records is required by USCIS for the application. I cannot recommend this practice. Office staff is not friendly, and the issue I've just described is not a minor thing.

Guess which one gave me the most thorough & thoughtful exam? Those other MDs should take a lesson from her. She refilled NSAIDs which the Ortho refused me & gave me a starter plan for my other symptoms. I'll think twice before going to South Hills Ortho again. I haven't even met the MD here yet & I am very very pleased with Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Brookline Blvd. A small office with a lot of care & compassion. 5 stars from me!

I have spoken to the pharmacy and they knew the Doctors office specifically when I mentioned that our prescriptions are never ready. Apparently they don't participate in the auto renew program like every other medical office has subscribed to. A perfect example was today Sept. 5th 2019 when my 90 year old grandmother ask me to check on her hydroclorothizide prescription. I tried to call the office twice, once at 0900 and again at 0930 letting the phone ring a solid 5 minutes each time and no answer. I then went down to the doctors office to find two patients in the waiting room ( meaning they weren't busy ) but still nobody can answer a phone! I have had just about enough of this, well to be frank, Bullshit!!! If you're searching for a doctor do yourself a favor and pass this one by. It truly is ridiculous!!!
