When my last doctor retired I was nervous about finding someone new as I entered my senior years (55). At 62, and looking back on her care over the last 7 yrs., I may have found the best one yet. Health insurance has changed so much over the years. It will probably only get worse. If you are able to get in with Dr. Nina Fatigatti, you'll be connected to someone who will build that trust relationship and get to know you as a person as much as a patient. She is a 5 star .

After having a total thyroidectomy and Hysterectomy and many years of progressive issues with strange medical issues and progressive gut dysmotility and esophageal stricture ( requiring dilations) and dysphagia and bone degradation I found out that during my US navy service I was exposed to a multitude of toxins on Adak AK (Which is an EPA Superfund site) . Toxins like PCE, TCE, PcBs, Lead, Hexavalent Chromium, Arsenic, Asbestos, Lead, and many more I finally was told by a fellow service member to pursue a VA Claim . I had my Nexus letter comprised to include my medical history and copied all of the corresponding medical records for the Dr to review. Dr Fatigati (My PCP) simply had to review my history and the list of conditions and sign stating that there is at least a 50% likelihood that these conditions could be related to my exposure and I PROVIDED IRREFUTABLE evidence of this for her AND SHE KNOWS MY MEDICL HISTORY!!! I had my appointment for physical assessment and to review and sign off on my Nexus letter made weeks ago. This MORNING - the DAY of my appointment -her office calls to tell me that this is not a "covered service " (the nexus letter review and signing) . I am a nurse myself . I was stunned. Doing a physical evaluation, reviewing my medical history and signing off that it is entirely possible that it could be related to the exposure is not a service she provides? I told them the Nexus letter is already structured and I have all of the evidence she needs for review so she doesn't need to spend hours she "can't bill for" comprising a letter as my VSO completed an outline to be signed if the DR agreed . And she should as it is 100% legitimately evidence based and she knows my medical history best as my PCP- (despite over the years getting passed off to the CRNPs most of the time in recent years) . Dr Fatigati was my PCP during the most critical time when I had 4 tumors and a lung mass etc. So- IF YOU ARE A VETERAN- BEWARE. Do not expect her to be willing to sign anything for you to pursue a claim. Interesting that they sign FMLA paperwork, Work physicals etc , But they cannot sign off on VA papers? I suppose she is concerned about being held responsible or sued by the VA? LOL - that is insane . The Bottom Line: As long as a licensed healthcare provider is acting in good faith, thoroughly reviewing the veteran's files, and offering an honest, evidence-backed medical opinion, there is zero risk of being sued by the VA. So- she can BILL for the physical assessment (Dr's always worry about not getting paid for doing paperwork!). and she has ZERO risk of any negative repercussions yet this is not "a device she provides" to her patient? They sign off on Prior authorizations-Insurance forms filled out entirely by nursing or billing staff, which the doctor signs off on to get a drug or procedure approved. Home Health Care Plans (485 Forms): Massive, detailed treatment plans written by home health nurses or physical therapists that physicians sign to certify care. They routinely fill out and sign Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and short-term disability paperwork. But they will not do this service for VETERANS? I also called the St Clair Patient Representative (412) 942-1845 and had to leave a voicemail as well as the Vice president od Advocacy and Communications Lindsay Meucci and that line just hung up on me when I tried to leave a message the 1st time and then again as I tried to leave a message. I am requesting to know the policy of St Clair regarding assistance with Nexus letters. Pretty simple one would think- but I guess no one wants to be the one to tell a Veteran that they really don't give a damn about the Veterans. Just Billing.

I saw several doctors and specialists and Dr Bennett is the BEST. He takes time to listen to you. He gives options and ideas that I never thought of such as acupuncture or rose tinted lenses. The nurses will dim lights in the office if you need it. They are very compassionate. The doctor brings his dog into the office. Her name is Mona. She is incredibly sweet and it is calming to pet her. I have been very happy with the care and treatment that I have received from Dr Bennett and his staff.

My 16 year old who has daily headaches that sometimes spike to migraines is very hopeful. Dr. Bennett's dog Maxine is awesome! She was there the whole time. There's been a deterioration in the attitude of some of the front office staff. It has apparently been difficult to hire and retain quality, empathetic, hard working employees. Some are still very good, but others not so much. The phone frequently goes unanswered, there's not a confirmation that you've reached Medi-Help when you call, and you can't leave a voicemail message. Two weeks ago, I was sick and had been unable to reach anyone during office hours. I needed to relay a message to my doctor, who'd previously told me to let him know if a medicine he prescribed wasn't working out. So I asked my husband to drive there and have someone call me. The person at the front desk flat-out refused. My husband very uncharacteristically lost his temper with her. After having been a very satisfied patient himself, he will never return. The hours of operation have been cut back dramatically. They are not open 9am - 9pm, as is stated on Yelp.

Went for a partial medical form (i-693) review, as a civil surgeon must fill this out. It's part of…read morethe green card process. For individuals who came on certain visa types and had their medical exam abroad with a panel physician within 12 months of their green card application date, a full medical exam isn't necessary when applying for their green card. The woman with whom we initially spoke said they had "never done a partial form before." I pointed her to the section at the bottom of the first page of the form which explains when a partial is required, which she read but repeated her statement about not doing a partial. She finally went to the doctor, Dr. Bora Janicijevic, and asked him to come talk to us. He came out just long enough to say, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else." Given that this is a very invasive exam, it's no small matter to argue with having to do it all over again. Not to mention that the cost is around $500, which was already paid for the same exam abroad. This should disqualify this doctor from being a civil surgeon, as it is a blatant exploitation of those going through legal immigration processes to force them to undergo a lengthy, invasive, and costly exam when only a verification of their vaccine records is required by USCIS for the application. I cannot recommend this practice. Office staff is not friendly, and the issue I've just described is not a minor thing.

He listened to my elderly father's symptoms. He took the time to figure out what was wrong with him with one visit. His callous attitude and lack of understanding has caused me to search out a new physician.
