Went for a partial medical form (i-693) review, as a civil surgeon must fill this out. It's part of the green card process. For individuals who came on certain visa types and had their medical exam abroad with a panel physician within 12 months of their green card application date, a full medical exam isn't necessary when applying for their green card. The woman with whom we initially spoke said they had "never done a partial form before." I pointed her to the section at the bottom of the first page of the form which explains when a partial is required, which she read but repeated her statement about not doing a partial. She finally went to the doctor, Dr. Bora Janicijevic, and asked him to come talk to us. He came out just long enough to say, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else." Given that this is a very invasive exam, it's no small matter to argue with having to do it all over again. Not to mention that the cost is around $500, which was already paid for the same exam abroad. This should disqualify this doctor from being a civil surgeon, as it is a blatant exploitation of those going through legal immigration processes to force them to undergo a lengthy, invasive, and costly exam when only a verification of their vaccine records is required by USCIS for the application. I cannot recommend this practice. Office staff is not friendly, and the issue I've just described is not a minor thing. read more

Update: I hope that the current situation is only temporary. I feel very loyal to Medi-Help because of the quality of care my family has received over many years, so I hope to update again soon with better news. There's been a deterioration in the attitude of some of the front office staff. It has apparently been difficult to hire and retain quality, empathetic, hard working employees. Some are still very good, but others not so much. The phone frequently goes unanswered, there's not a confirmation that you've reached Medi-Help when you call, and you can't leave a voicemail message. Two weeks ago, I was sick and had been unable to reach anyone during office hours. I needed to relay a message to my doctor, who'd previously told me to let him know if a medicine he prescribed wasn't working out. So I asked my husband to drive there and have someone call me. The person at the front desk flat-out refused. My husband very uncharacteristically lost his temper with her. After having been a very satisfied patient himself, he will never return. The hours of operation have been cut back dramatically. They are not open 9am - 9pm, as is stated on Yelp. read more

My son had a sports physical completed in late November. I came back to have them fill out the DMV permit paperwork in early January. They refused less than 2 months later stating "they don't do that". That he would need to have another full physical done and I would have to pay another $60 dollars. I tried calling their office for days to ask about this before going in and the phone just rang and rang. The nurse who I spoke to was very rude and would not let me speak to the doctor about the situation. I was not asking them to write any false information - it was literally just copying the physical that was just done on another piece of paper. Will never go there again. read more

I had left a negative review about the office staff at MediHelp a few months ago. the staff is rude, uncaring, and will hang up on you if they don't feel what you need is important. Pretty unprofessional for office staff in a medical facility. I did mention the doctors were generally ok. Today I went back in to get a medication refill. Dr. Bora came out and asked me what I was doing there? He said I left a bad review and asked if I came to apologize. ummmm no. Why would I apologize for a factual review? Why aren't you coming out to apologize to me for having such a bad experience it prompted me to write a review? Nah narcissists think everyone is wrong except them! I've never actually experienced this type of treatment in my life. Are you actually kidding me? Read all of your reviews Bora. 75 percent is about how rude your staff is. I guess I now see where they get their nonexistent professionalism. Maybe take reviews as insight on how people are experiencing your business. Medi-Help doctors are more than competent, however their billing practices are predatory. My family and I have gotten to the Mt Lebanon office for several years and have frequently questioned the bills we have received. Most recently, my daughter was charged for care that should have been sent to our insurance, but instead Medi-Help insisted that she pay the bill. So we were charged more than our insurance would pay and when asked to bill our insurance and reverse the transaction, both the billing manager and the lead doctor refused. I will re-state my issue in not with the care received, it is with the predatory billing practice used by the office. read more

I have been dealing with Medi-Help for over 5 years now. I feel lucky and blessed to find this place comparing to UPMC and Allegheny Health System. With Medi-Help it is all about you and your health and well being not just money. The main reasons why I love this place is Dr. Nenad Janicijevic and Dr. Bora Janicijevic and how up to date and knowledgeable they are. It is funny that when I see Dr. Nenad Janicijevic at Medi-Help I get charge $25 only but if I met him at the ER I will pay a few thousand dollars for the same doctor. Dr. Nanad is an Emergency Physician and he is an Emergency Medicine physician for over 35 years. I would give the credit to Dr. Nenad Janicijevic for why I am still alive right now after I tested positive for COVID 19. Even a few years ago when I had the Flu type A. They took good care of me. A few years ago I recommended this place to all my friends and family and all of them go there now. Where else could we go! there is no place such as this place. It is not about how affordable the place is. It is also about the quality of the treatment and the knowledge they have. They are like a small hospital. They have X-ray, endoscopy tests, ultrasound, EKG, all kinds of blood tests, COVID Test (drive-through), and much more. I would give also credit to all nurses working there because even when they risk their lives and are slammed, they can help and serve patients. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I had to get an immigration physical done for the immigration process. This was the only clinic that came up in my area, so I set up an appointment and went. The cost of the appointment was $400, though I believe that is standard, and they do not take insurance for this exam. Up till now, it was a standard experience. Then came the actual physical. Have you (you, that's reading this) ever been told that you need to "take off your underwear to make sure you really are what you say you are"? I'm a female woman, and it was insulting and embarrassing and harassing. They could have easily looked at my passport and/or driver's license to see what sex/gender I am - both of those are government issued documents. Then came the issue with the vaccinations. I had my TDaP and MMR vaccines in 2009, which was good enough to be accepted to University here, but I guess you need to have them every 7 years (?) so at this point in 2020 they had lapsed. So the doc told me I needed to get the vaccinations, about $100 each, before he could sign off on the form. I told him I might be pregnant and I don't know if I can take those vaccines and that I needed to talk to my OB about that. (I was indeed pregnant, had just gotten pregnant in fact - gee, I guess I really am a female woman, huh doc). He didn't sign the form and I ended up leaving the clinic, upset, frustrated, and out $400. Fast forward to this week, (today is 2/28/2021), 7 months later (30 weeks pregnant), I received my TDaP a few days ago (and indeed cannot have the MMR vaccine while pregnant), and after verifying with USCIS (immigration services) that I can indeed use that same physical from 7 months ago, I called the clinic to see if I can come in and finish the form. Today I got a call back from the clinic saying that I would need to redo the exam and pay another $400. Needless to say, I'm pissed. I wonder if I'll have to remove my underwear to verify "I am what I say I am" again, or if they'll just take my word for it after seeing my 7 month pregnant and kicking belly. I have been going to this practice for years and about a year and a half ago I had an experience with one of the doctors in which I felt I was not being treated with dignity and respect. I went on to provide my feedback and should have waited until my head was a little bit more calm however I unfairly judged the doctor. It has been brought to my attention when I went back there that it was on another site. I've tried to go on to remove that however the site that they said it was on, I've never been a member of and cannot. So I will say here that I continue to go to the practice as it is convenient, close and even if you don't always agree it's just like family you work it out. I did appreciate that I was acknowledged and the situation discussed with me any more professional way then I felt it had been initially handled. I will continue to go to this practice because as I said I've been there for years and appreciate that they are available and willing to talk things out with their patients. read more

I came in as a walk in during a Friday morning around 10:45 or so. It has been over 2 hours (including an hour sitting in an exam room,) and I still have not been seen. When I inquired, I was told appointments go first. That is understandable, but it is getting ridiculous. Why take walk ins if you do not see them? I have so much venom and hatred for this place that if I had all the money in the world I would PAY PEOPLE TO AVOID. They are only out to make a buck and that's all good for a business but you kinda expect a doctor's office to care a teensy weensy bit about your health. One of the doctors here tried to get my husband to come in just to get a prescription for his blood pressure medication (and it's a commonly prescribed medication) each time he needed a refill. Of course we would have to pay the co pay for each visit. When my husband challenged them, they agreed to fill the prescriptions and go along with the regular check up schedule. Now, that wasn't too bad, right. I wouldn't give one star for that. The straw that broke the camels back was when I went for an appointment and checked out at the desk. The girl was so busy talking to her coworker and hitting the keys on the card scanner that she ran my card for $1000 instead of $10!!! When she said she cancelled it out I immediately logged into my bank account from my smartphone and SURE ENOUGH that transaction put $1000 of my money on hold. I stood in their office and the bank said it was not showing cancelled on their end. Instead of the girl apologizing she said to me: "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO" and had the audacity to giggle!!!!!!! I'm sure someone there had to see the fire flames shooting from the top of my head. (I can laugh now) Ultimately, my funds were on hold for 5 DAYS and it's a good thing I had it in my account to begin with. There was no remorse for what they did so I found another doctor and took my business there. tHERE ARE MORE HORROR STORIES BUT I DON'T WANT TO TURN THIS INTO A NOVEL. First of all, I was told over the phone that they took my insurance (they don't so I'm out 85.00. Second, I had an appointment right? I waited for two hours in an exam room for a ten minute exam! Been going here for many years for treatment of various ailments and have always been very satisfied and impressed. Dr J's breadth of medical knowledge is encyclopedic, up-to-date, and he takes time to explain things thoroughly. The staff is very efficient, courteous and once went out of their way to look up an MRI billing code for me even while they were busy dealing with other patients. I am in nursing school so I've seen a multitude of environments, etc. I came here for a possible UTI. They told me I could come even though Id taken UZO. Whenever I got here, Right away I felt discomfort by the lack of eye contact/greeting and I felt it was disorganized. I also heard the medical staff discussing my case and other patients right outside of the curtain(as they do not have rooms with doors, so no privacy here!) The girl they sent in to take my blood was good skill wise but her attitude was off putting. She barely spoke to me and I heard her making comments about not wanting to be at work. She also seemed like the office bully as I saw her interacting with other staff. She seemed to set a negative vibe. I felt this in the short time I was here. The nurse practitioner was solid but there is a lack of leadership here. So much so that I felt uncomfortable and I will not comeback. read more

I saw Dr. J multiple times and had horrible experiences each and every time. First, I was concerned about palpitations I was having, so he gave me a heart monitor to wear. He hooked it up incorrectly and the time was off the entire time. He told me that my heart rate while sleeping was 170. I explained that I worked out during the day and he brushed it off and didn't even bother to look to see if the times were right! I had to ask for copies of the report where I saw the mistake. He almost diagnosed me with a heart condition because of his carelessness. Next, I went in for an ingrown hair to be removed. I knew it was an ingrown hair and told him it was. Well, he didn't believe me and surgically removed it. When the results of what it was came back, surprise! It was an ingrown hair. AND he didn't remove the root. Now I have a 2 inch scar that hurts because there is an even more ingrown hair under scar tissue. I'm shocked at the good reviews, I feel like I'm being punked. Please do not go here! read more

I had a procedure done with my primary care to remove some cervical cancer cells. I went to PA to stay with my mom because I was afraid to be by myself. During my stay with her I got really dizzy and nauseous. I didnt want to go to the ER because my copay was so high and I didn't have the money at that time. I went to this urgent care because it was by my mom's house and at this point I just needed to feel better. Their bedside manner was good and they were very patient with me..I tend to whine about everything lol...but they made me feel better and he sent the nausea medicine to the pharmacy to save me a wait at the pharmacy since I didnt feel to good. I got what I needed and went on my way....I am very grateful that they took good care of me...the wait time was not too bad but it's something that is expected at an urgent care and the hospital would have took much longer like 3 times longer lol...great experience overall! read more

This place is the worst! I waited almost 90 minutes before anyone came in the room . The rude nurse said I needed to move my room so another patient that came in after me could be seen. I asked her way are all these people being seen before me and she responded with "They have appointments and I don't". I left right then and there and had my broken ankle treated at a real hospitol. Rookies. So unprofessional and miserable nurses I couldn't believe it. This place is fantastic! I need a practice that isn't 8 to 3 Monday through Friday. I need place that is thorough, timely, attentive and responsive to my needs. I need a place that does a lot their lab work in house. I need a place that can perform a great deal of services under one roof. I need a great primary care doctor. I need a place that can take me "on the fly" if need be. The point is so do you!! I could go on with my particular story but it would be far too long. This is easily the best urgent care/walk-in place I have ever been to. I was sick all week and finally decided to get checked out on Saturday morning. I brought my kindle figuring I would be in for a long wait with it being a weekend. After checking in, I was seen by the nurse almost right away and while I did have to wait a while for the doctor, they were short staffed and he was the only one there, after I saw him my tests and X-rays were all done one after another with almost no waiting. And it didn't take long to get the results either. On top of that every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and very compassionate. I've always been leery of these urgent care type places because you wait forever and often get treated like cattle. This place couldn't be more different. So if you don't need an actual emergency room I highly suggest coming here. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. Waited for my boyfriend for well over two hours on a weekday morning. They claim to take walk-ins, but made him wait in an exam room for over an hour. Apparently they take the walk ins, but make them wait before EVERY APPOINTMENT, no matter when they come in. Obviously appointments come first, but they took appointments EARLY while he was waiting. If you don't have time for walk ins, that's ok! But don't take walk ins and treat them so poorly!! So dehumanizing and unprofessional. read more
