Fish and chips went in the fryer, and I started salivating at the thought of my first bite of authentic British fish and chips. When my order started to come up, I was quite confused. A traditional fish fry shack. The girls who run the register and take your orders are young and cute. Friendly and courteous. I normally don't get chips with my fish, don't care too much for potatoes. I got the haddock 2 pieces of crunchy fresh fried fish, I added a generous sprinkle of vinegar to cut down the oil. I ended up trying a couple of my friend's chips, the next thing she had to do was fend me off of her hearty serving. I went back the next day and ordered the fish roe. I ordered 2 pieces, beware for they are hockey puck sized! A very generous size. Yum! So did I go back the day after that...? Yes. This time I had cod fish and chips. The girls handed me my paper wrapped meal and a handful of tissue, knowing I was a full fledged deep fried addict at this point. They have a good selections of deep fried goodies on the board. They operate a system in the shop where you go either end of the counter depending on what you are ordering. This makes it very efficient and you get very fast food. You can also order over the phone and then go in to collect it. The food is second to none and the prices are exceptional. I like the fact that the staff are very helpful and will even account for the size of the fish that they have in at the time, ie. You often get 2 pieces for the price of 1 if they are small. I enjoy getting a take away from here, usually once a month and find now that it is the only fish and chip shop that I visit.
