Manny is a top-notch stylist who regularly cuts my (baby boomer) husband's and our (millennial) son's hair. Recently I persuaded my husband to get a shave there in addition to his regular haircut -- he told me he'd never gotten a professional shave before -- and he was delighted with the result! While we were there -- since our shower was temporarily out of order that week and I hadn't been able to wash my hair for a few days -- I asked Manny if he'd be able to just wash and blow-dry my hair; he said yes and did a great job, charging me only for those two services since I didn't get a cut or style. The total fee for both of us was very reasonable. Thanks, Manny!

I completely recommend slope cuts !…read more There's not a barber shop nor business that I can recommend higher. About two years ago I first came to slope cuts. At the time I was afraid of barbers in general. I had a lot of bad experiences in my childhood with mushroom haircuts and the like. As a man I generally let my hair grow way out and just got it shaved off. I met Avi as he was putting together the layout for what is now slope cuts... He was a real nice guy and over the course of time I've got to know him and really appreciate what it was to be familiar with a business owner. Over time I grew and Trust of him and his staff and let them use my hair as a canvas for he is truly an artist... Today I love my haircut get it cut at least twice a month end look forward to my time in the shop. The staff is friendly and attentive the atmosphere is a mixture of Barbershop Chit Chat and talk with a bit of watch out there are kids here thrown in to make things more funny than normal a lot of innuendo that's hilarious. It's definitely not purely stroller scene but it's also definitely not a frat house it's the perfect mix very Windsor Terrace... It's my best relationship outside of my family and friends! I really really couldn't recommend the shop more! The haircuts that I get are publicly what is cited as my best feature, thank you so much slope cuts!

Dude was like "say no more" like those memes and took it upon himself to just shave off most of my facial hair... If you were to look at my face and my beard you would see that my beard really compliments me. I truly feel like this dude didn't take his time to assess a proper cut. I'm not sure if I'm stressing this enough, he took the biggest clippers he could find and just took it down to a light stubble. I had A LOT of beard at the time too... I said a trim not a shave and he didn't even pause. No finesse just hacked it off. Didn't even use a goddamned straight razor to clean up the stubble. This caused me a ton of stress for a few weeks. Never again.

PEACE! Man oh man…read moreI don't even know where to start! So I've been visiting this barbershop for a while now, on an on again off again basis. It was until recently or several months ago rather that I made up my mind to keep this barbershop as my shop of preference. I was introduced to an old client of the shop who would bring my son in for cuts and I'd always remember the owner Damian in the first chair pressuring me to let him cut me. I always refused as at that time I already had my barber of choice located elsewhere. That coupled with the fact I didn't just let anyone cut my hair. Fast forward, I let more than barber in the shop cut me and I fell in love with my cuts everytime. I've been cut by 4 barbers at this particular shop with the exception of one barber I won't name, I've been nothing short of satisfied! I also must add that the cuts here are pricier than your average barbershop and although it took me a while to get used to, I support it. Why you ask? It's a simple concept actually. My mother always taught me, "you get what you pay for". It has become almost a (neighborhood)ritual of mine before a night out to come by Classic with a peer of mine, get fresh cuts together and chop it up with the great brothas at Classic. We talk everything from our cars to current events, to the countless bits of wisdom the owner sends my way. Classic Barbershop has become a home for me. Everyone is familiar with me at the shop and I get nothing but love here! I looked up the Yelp, saw two bad reviews and was immediately perturbed. How can such a classy and clean establishment with above par skilled barbers receive such poor reviews!? I then took them with a grain of salt and there was only two reviews. Therefore, I made the decision to play my part and review the true Classic barbershop for what it is and not write a negative review based on one bad experience. This review has been well overdue! I love this barbershop! It's black owned, the name epitomizes the establishment and I'm treated like family there! They offer great services like hot towel shaves as well a hair salon located directly upstairs in case your Lady may be with you. FYI: my guy is Steven! He is a phenomenal barber! He is attentive, focused, and he is adamant about not only giving what you requested, but assuring you are gratified with the end result! The experiences I've had here has hands down won me over as a lifelong client! Classic barbershop, sans personal bias is a 5star establishment and deserves NOTHING SHORT OF IT!
