I just completed my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Israel and Dr. Christa, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! They were incredibly detail-oriented throughout the entire process and made sure my smile turned out exactly how I envisioned it. Would encourage anyone thinking about getting invisalign to pull the trigger - it was 100% worth it! I've been a patient of Dr. Israel's for over 20 years - the entire team is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their patients. I always feel well taken care of and I recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional dentist! read more

I highly recommend Dr Israel and his entire staff. My family and I have been in his care for many, many years. We trust him implicitly and have received every type of treatment including Invisalign. He has even gone out of his way to handle emergency situations off hours. He is kind, friendly and easy going. Perfect dentist! read more

Dr. Israel and his staff are fantastic! My experience here with Invisalign went so smooth and I am so happy with my results. 10/10 recommend! read more

Dr. Israel is a rare find. The quality and expertise of the office in general is better than 5/5. The level of service starts at the top and Dr. Israel goes above and beyond for his patients. My special needs son had a bolt fall out of his wheelchair and even though the office had closed by the time I called, Dr. Israel went back to see if he could find it and even searched through the parking lot. This 4th of July weekend, the back of one of my teeth broke off and he responded to my call immediately and and opened the office to take care of it so I could leave the next day on a family vacation. My extended family has used Dr. Israel for over 30 years and we have never had anything but the best treatment and quality of care. They really ensure every aspect of their practice is the best---making sure you are comfortable, taking the best course of action using modern technologies, and dealing with insurance companies. I cannot recommend this dentist and dental practice enough. read more

The best! After moving from CA to New England, I willingly made the trek back to complete the Invisalign process I began with Dr. Israel instead of switching to a local office. His professional, quality care is superior to other dentists I have visited. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well. 100% recommend! read more

Dr. Israel and staff are awesome! They are so helpful making appointments whether urgent or not and the quality of the dental work is better than any dentist I have been too. Highly recommend!! read more

After a lifetime of poor experiences with the dentist, I finally found a doctor who really takes care of those around him (both patients and his staff). Dr. Barry has taken on the task of fixing my major mouthful of issues with extreme compassion and a gentle hand. He routinely checks in with me to make sure I feel no pain, a new experience for me. If I'm not numb enough, he remedies the situation to maximize my comfort. The office staff feels like a family and they've given me a warm welcome. I've had such a positive experience that getting another cavity doesn't seem so bad! Thanks Dr. Barry for introducing me to a fearless dentist experience- you've gained a patient for life. read more

Barry's office is the best. We have been going to Barry's office for about 15 years (he was recommended to us by my office manager). He is a perfectionist at his work. We have not experienced any pain going to him. He does a great job on our fillings and he doesn't recommend any work that doesn't need to be done. We have connected him after hours and he always returns the call. He has a great staff (from the front desk, the hygienist and dental assistants). First class. read more

I've been Dr Israel's patient for well over 30 years, and have nothing but positive things to say about him and his entire team! Patients are a priority, and Dr and staff are knowledgeable, professional, thorough, friendly, and courteous, so I'm totally and extremely ecstatic to provide a review sharing the amazing transformation in me due to Dr Israel's expertise and precision in Cosmetic Dentistry! For decades, although I took care of visiting the office for necessary dental procedures to insure dental health, I was extremely unhappy with the appearance of my natural teeth - their very dark uneven color, misalignment, uneven shape - and smiling was never the pleasant expression it should be! I would cringe at the thought of showing my teeth, feeling extremely self conscious, keeping my mouth closed in an unnatural way in photos and interaction with others, to avoid them being seen. And of course, when looking at others, the first thing I would notice was their nice teeth. I hated seeing my teeth in the mirror! Then I finally scheduled cosmetic dentistry with Dr Israel, and everything changed! From the moment of consultation, to yesterday's completion of the procedure, the transformation he made in me is nothing short of miraculous! I don't think there are enough words to describe not only the amazing change he made in my physical appearance; but also the difference he made in my emotional health - the joy and confidence he instilled in me! My teeth not only look beautiful and completely natural, but my smile, the happy smile I've always wanted, is now absolutely genuine too! My only regret is not deciding to have this done sooner! I'm forever grateful to Dr Israel, and If the feelings of joy I have after my cosmetic dentistry could transcend onto paper, this review would be covered in that emotion! read more

I was referred to Dr. Barry by my daughter when I had a crown come off. I was able to get in quickly and he got me put back together. It was an excellent experience, pain free and easy! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I'll be coming back for my routine care. read more

It was my first time here, and I was pleasantly greeted as I walked in by Liz. She was very inviting and gave their office a great vibe. I was taken back right away even though I was 20 minutes early. The assistants who did my X-rays and scans were also very friendly and gave off a great vibe. Dr. Israel came in and introduced himself with a hearty handshake. He was also very friendly and genuine. I believed all his suggestions and trusted his expertise. He didn't seem to "upsale" me and listened to all my concerns. For someone who hates the dentist...I can say, "I'll be back!" read more

Dr. Barry has been my daughter's dentist for the past nine years. He is very professional and very easy to talk to. He is super good with kids. The staff is super friendly. One of the best things about his office/practice is that we don't have to wait long times to be seen. Scheduling appointments is easy and he is very accommodating. read more

Dr Israel and his entire staff are the best. I bring the whole family here for all our dental care. Coming all the way from Riverside County should tell you how great the experience is. read more

This was by far the best experience I've had at any dental office in recent years. Dr. Israel's staff is confident, friendly and professional...Exceptional! It reminded me of our family dentist growing up. I felt part of the family even though I came to them as new patient. Dr. Israel is calm and explains every procedure thoroughly. During the procedure, he moved smoothly and checked-in to make sure I was comfortable and without pain. I highly recommend him with five stars! read more

I use to hate, I mean HATE going to dentist, but now I am looking forward to go to my next appointment and that is all because Dr Israel is so awesome. I have a great insurance and so far all DDSs that i have been to try to use my insurance and do all the stuff that is not needed to use my insurance and make money. He is the first Dr that did not see me as a $$$$$ sign. Can't wait for next visit. His office stuff were very nice and friendly. read more

Dr. Israel has been our family dentist for the past decade. He and ALL his staff are the nicest and most gentle I've had in my lifetime. We've had all types of services completed within the family, including Invisalign, crowns and regular cleanings. My kids have no complaints and the results are always great. read more

Dr. Israel has been my dentist for my entire life (over two decades). He and his entire staff are kind and know what they are doing. The regular teeth cleanings are performed with care, and dental hygiene habits are discussed in a non-judgements way, and I credit the feedback and advice I've gotten from them for needing little more dental care than a couple filled cavities (possibly genetic anyhow), all but one with my baby teeth. Any work you need done that can't be done in house? You will be referred to a top-notch specialist, as I was for the removal of my wisdom teeth. As a child, I heard that the dentist was a horror for others, but that was never the case for me. I always was happy to go to the dentist, as a child and now as an adult. read more

My wife and I needed a good dentist we could trust. When I took my kids to thier regular dentist I thought I would ask him for a referal. He sent me to Dr Israel and told me that Dr Israel was HIS dentist. I figured where better to go then a dentist's dentist. Now I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade and was freaked out about it. Dr Israel could not have been nicer to me. After an extensive cleaning with Christie, Dr Israel set out to fix my numerous issues. In something like 6 visits, think the most pain I felt was the novacain shots. He is very personable and easy to chat with and listen to. I'm done before I realize much of anything. The office is small and modestly decorated and I think the most people I've seen in there at one time was two in the waiting room and maybe one or two more in the back. It is definately NOT assembly line dentistry like I remember from my childhood (and the reason I haven't been in SOOOO long). The staff is great and Liz the receptionist is super sweet and fun to joke with while you wait. That said, if you are on time like you are supposed to be, you won't be waiting long. The longest I've waited for my chair was slightly over five minutes. Normally, I like the newest, hottest, cutting edge technology but in this case I'm 100% into the the good old fashioned care and treatment of Dr Israel and staff. The one down side is he does not do root canals. I was refered to another dentist about half a mile away. It was painless as well, but I would have prefered to keep all of my dental work in one location. Root canals aside, two BIG thumbs up for Dr Israel! read more

Who ever thought you could love going to the dentist? Dr. I is always friendly, as are all the other people working in his office, and the place is always nice and clean, but not too sterile-feeling like some doctors' offices tend to seem. There are nice touches like stars in the ceiling tiles to look up at when you're getting your teeth cleaned, and they often go way beyond the standard toothbrush when giving you freebies at the end of your visit -- I once walked away with a toothbrush, full tube of toothpaste, floss, Listerine breath strips and mouthwash! Parking used to be tough to come by in the building's lot, but I haven't had a problem finding a space in a long time. And a few years ago, when I did have trouble and parked on the street, Dr. I let me use his parking pass to park in the underground lot. Make sure to book well in advance -- you may have to wait 2-3 months to get an appointment -- or if you're flexible, just ask them to notify you whenever there's a cancellation and you may be in much sooner. Even though I haven't lived that close to Los Alamitos in a while, I won't go anywhere else. read more

I have been going here for 28 years and I have always had a great experience both as a child and as an adult. They have always had a friendly atmosphere and have always greeted me with a smile. The receptionist always greets me by name and always makes me feel welcome. The assistants always engage in friendly conversations while cleaning my teeth and I always feel comfortable. I have never been afraid of the dentist because of the great time I have had there. Dr. Barry Israel has always been friendly to me and made me feel welcome. He has helped to make me smile bright and always greets me when I come in for an appointment. I enjoy going to the dentist and they are always honest with me when I need to take better care of my teeth. I always leave with my teeth feeling clean and shiny. Thanks for making my experience at the dentist comfortable and welcoming! read more

Wow, thinking about it for this review, our family has been going to see Dr. Barry for about 13 years now. And you know what, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Barry is not only excellent at what he does, but he is a truly enjoyable person as well. In addition, all of his staff of hygienists are competent and friendly. Liz at the front desk is the pleasant cherry on top of this well run office. Barry has also been great with my two kids who at a very young age were never even for a moment frightened about their visits here. His office is not a cutesy kid friendly place with video games and such. But rather, his pleasant demeanor connected with my kids and they were on team Barry from the very first visit. Unless you expect free cappuccinos, massages or mani-pedis from your dentist's office, I really don't see how any other provider could be any better. Check out Dr. Barry. You'll be glad you did. read more

I've been going to Dr. Barry Israel for a couple of years now and he is very professional. One thing I look for in my medical professionals are bed side manners and that they take the time to explain procedures. This is exactly what Dr. Barry and his staff do. The office staff along with Liz the Office Mgr are always very helpful with insurance. Not sure what office Gunther C went to because this is absolutely not the experience I or any of my family members have had. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Barry since I was young and I now bring my children to him. He brought it to my attention that my daughter had giant tonsils and they needed to come out. It was affecting her breathing and her teeth were horribly crooked because of it. Her pediatrician missed it completely. Afterward he transformed her teeth with braces and she has a beautiful smile now. I even had Invisalign and my teeth are still straight almost 15 years later. I will always be grateful for his expertise. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and make you feel so welcome when you visit. I have recommended his office to so many people over the years. read more

I used to HATE going to the dentist. That is until my sister referred me to her magic man! I "heart" Dr Barry Israel! Office is super clean and hip. Staff is super friendly and genuine. Dr Israel goes above and beyond. I was in his office yesterday shaking and tearing up because I feared my Orthodontist screwed up my front two teeth by shaving them down too much and too square but Dr. Israel saved the day! He was kind and understanding. He drew me a picture of what he planned to do, told me to take a deep breath because it was an easy fix with his emery type tool. He went slow and let me hold the mirror so I could see he wasn't doing anything drastic. And to top it all off, he wouldn't even let me pay for it! I am so happy I went to him and got my teeth back again, as they are very important to me. I would recommend him and his kind bedside manner to anyone! read more

Dr. Israel has been my dentist since 1986. I was just two years old. I can honestly say, I have always had a positive and painless experience with him. He's amazing, honest, passionate, gentle and genuinely loves his patients. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Israel and his wonderful staff. I know there are may who cannot say they love their dentist, but I can say it with confidence "I love my Dentist!" Liz is amazing also! She always greets you with a smile. She is extremely helpful and is always willing to go over pricing with you, so there are no surprises. I'm confused by Dick's review. I have been coming to see Dr. Israel for the last 17 years. I have never had any issues with Liz and the front office staff. She has always given me my costs up front and there was never any confusion. I want to add that Dr Israel saved my bite and my teeth. He went way beyond the call of duty to help repair damage done by another dentist. He even made an appointment for me with a specialist in Torrance and then met me there for the consultation. This is the best dentist office and the best dentist. I can only imagine that Dick's experience was a miscommunication. Make an appointment and tell them Mary sent you.... read more

Great place. Lizzy rocks! She is the best at everything. Oh yea, Barry is good too. Staff is delightful. You should all change dentists!

Like most folks, I am a total wimp when it comes to having dental work done. What makes Dr. Israel and his staff so wonderful is their amazingly positive attitude. They are the nicest people and Dr. Israel goes above and beyond to make his patients feel comfortorable. I am especially grateful to this dentist for helping me with my 12-year-old son's dental problems. My son has a rare genetic condition... he was born with no enamel leaving his teeth brittle and very yellow (no white at all). Imagine being in 7th grade with a mouth full of small yellow teeth. Dr. Israel took the time to research possible cosmetic solutions for my son so that he might be able to attend 8th grade next year, as well as high school with something that many of us take for granted -- white teeth!! I love this dentist!!! read more

Been coming to this office for years. Many many years. I'm so glad I found Dr. Israel & his staff. I have never had anything to complain about. Prices are reasonable and I don't feel like I've been ripped off. I actually started bringing my 2 young sons here after I felt that the pediatric dental group I was taking them to was adding unnecessary charges, or telling me about all the work they need done and leaving me to question the validity of this pediatric dental group(I won't make them because it's not important to me & not everyone will agree with me and I'm fine with that) or causing my kids to fear the dentist. I asked Dr Israel if he'd see my boys(they were young maybe 3 & 6). I can honestly say my boys love Dr Israel and all the staff. They've not had a whole lot of work done(probably because he's honest and can keep his patients instead of torturing and performing exams that are not needed). Oh and my kids have never had to be strapped down, drugged or gassed here. Sad to say that I did let them give my 6 year old gas & strap him down to clean his teeth. Dr. Israel may not have fancy play stations or fish tanks but at the end of our visit boys and I leave happy and they actually now(ages 12 & 16) refer people themselves to Dr. Israel. read more
