He performed a laminectomy-laminotomy on me twice, 5 years apart (I had a crappy employer, no time to recover), in the mid-late 1980's. I'm almost 70 now, and I can still walk, claim stairs, and live a normal retired life. And his bedside manner is beyond legendary. When my late wife had a surgical emergency, I called him for advice. He got the best vascular surgeon in town, and made sure my wife had the best care possible. In 2005, when I had a quadruple bypass at Memorial hospital, who came in unannounced? I had surgery finally after six years of living with drop foot due to a L5 disc pushing into my spinal cord and nerves. I originally saw Dr. Ceverha who put me through X-rays, MRI, and finally MRI with contrast, which was a very traumatic experience! Each time he told me he couldn't find a problem until I did the MRI with contrast. Then he vaguely told me it was because of the L5 disc but surgery would be a very long recovery and didn't recommend it. He offered me muscle relaxers to help. I left there with a decision to just live with my condition, figuring it was not fixable. This was back in 2016/2017 when I had "Obama care" so it wasn't the greatest insurance. This arrogant jerk got as much out of my limited insurance as he could. Finally after six years of living with it I couldn't stand it anymore. I have better insurance and boy what a difference that makes! New doctor, great outcome, a lot of PT. He took one look at the x-ray, showed it to me, and pointed out the problem immediately! But guess what? I found out my new doctor works at the same place as this asshole! It's obvious to me that some doctors don't care about the patient unless they have good insurance! I came here with my husband, who has had gnarly back pain for years. He's tried lots of other treatments for a herniated disc and after PT, acupuncture, weight loss, stretching, and epidural injections didn't work, it was time to consult a surgeon. We were referred here by our primary care doc, and after the 1st call I was a little skeptical. We were told that we'd have to talk to a specific nurse who did scheduling for Dr Ceverha. A day or so later we got a call from Beth, the nurse who does the scheduling. Basically she did a really thorough phone triage and history which was awesome. We were able to get in to see the doctor quite quickly which was great. Dr. Ceverha is great. He's very thorough, very no-nonsense, and personable. He's fun and easy to talk to and spends a lot of time getting to know you. In our couple of appointments, he spent a lot of time talking and going over issues and concerns, we never felt rushed or hurried. The down side to that is he typically runs late, but the Nurse Practitioner Bob and the other nurses and staff are very friendly and check in to chat and make sure you're not going too stir crazy. Ultimately Dr. Ceverha reccommended a procedure that he doesn't personally do for my husband, but he did refer us to another doctor who has also been great so far. He also handled the appointment and referral process so we didn't have to start over and wait 6 weeks for an appointment somewhere. His office called the other doctors office and got us in right away. If I ever need to see a neurosurgeon Dr Ceverha is 1st on my list. read more

My primary physician provided me with an approved referral for this practice and after several attempts of scheduling an appointment, I have not received a call back. I've left several voicemails and my primary physician telephoned them as well and tried to schedule an appointment for me, but they mentioned that they would go ahead and telephone me. But I give him 5 Stars for his caring attitude, for treating us like part of his family, for taking care of my son as if he's one of his own, for being the voice of reason when things are uncertain and for making us laugh when we truly needed it. Worst 'doctor' I have ever encountered. Condescending & inappropriate during office visits. My C-3 discectomy & fusion have failed & I must undergo more surgery. I developed fibromyalgia after surgery. The rheumatologist told me the surgery caused the fibromyalgia. I was not informed that this was a risk before I signed the consent. Thats what you told her after taking just the insurance money and botching a surgery that put her in more pain than anyone should experience. When the next surgeon saw what you did, he wanted to take action against you as well. I hope you rot in hell. Maybe he does a decent job for people with more money. Dr Barry is simply the best! He would not do surgery until he was certain that it was absolutely necessary. He has an outstanding staff including his Nurse Practitioner Bob Salsameda (who is the greatest!!) and the lead administrative staff Irma Robles. Every single person on the staff makes you feel like you are their only patient. Dr. Barry has done three surgeries on me, all of which I had no choice. I continue to see Bob on a three month basis to keep my recovery on track. This is the only Dr,'s office that I actually look forward to going to! I have seen Dr, Ceverha twice, first in 2006 for a cervical spine surgery. I had never been through any type of surgery and was so very nervous. After talking to him, and explaining the complete procedure, I went in with such calmness. in 2013, I again had to have another procedure, and my first call was to Dr. Ceverha. There was no way I would trust with what could be a delicate surgery, other than Dr. Ceverha. He just has a way to make you feel such at ease. Here I am 4 years later, with a completely different problem, and again there is no other Dr. I can put my complete trust in, other than Dr. Ceverha. Not only is he wonderful, but his staff, the medical group is just great, and best of all....the wait time has been under 10 minutes!!!! Now how can you beat that!!! read more

Dr. Ceverha takes the time to explain in detail, in terms you can understand, what is the cause of your condition and what your options are to fix it. He goes over your MRI and shows you what is causing the condition but does not pressure you into surgery. He explains your options. Dr. Ceverha did my cervical spine surgery after an automobile accident. I was so afraid of being paralyzed because of the severity of my injuries. Dr. Ceverha was very comforting, understanding and patient with me when I expressed my apprehension about surgery. He assured me that he wouldn't consider if he didn't think he could help me. My incision was through the front of my neck, in a natural crease, an den still isn't noticeable. I only wish I could see him again to assess my neck pain. read more

Last september I discovered I had a pituitary tumor. It was very large and I was losing my vision. (very scary). I immediately went to Dr Ceverha. (Neurosurgeon) Dr.Ceverha made me feel so comfortable. He referred me to an Endocrinologist for some blood work, to see if the tumor could possibly be shrunk with medication. Unfortunately I was not a candidate. But I was given prednisone, because I was feeling so sickly. (headaches, severe body aches, and a low grade fever) These symptoms disappeared, and I was able to go through the surgery. After Dr Ceverha operated, I felt 100% better.
