Haven't been to Barro's in years, so I was so happy to see that they had online ordering and thin crust pizza! As much as I love their original crust I am watching my carbs and still wanted to indulge in some pizza. So glad that their toppings and crust are still so amazing! You know the pizza is good when it is still good cold. I got the thin crust with pepperoni and spinach for just $12--what an amazing deal! I've been to the old location many times. Went to the new one last night on our way back to the valley and the first thing noticeable were dirty tables, food and trash everywhere on the floor. Looked like the lobby hadn't been cleaned in hours. While the food we got was good and fresh, the cleanliness of the lobby made my skin crawl. My fiance used the men's room and he said there were feces and toilet paper in the stalls. Don't think we will be back to this location anytime soon hopefully it improves for the locals. read more

I ordered my wings over the phone and ordered my wings the same everytime which is extra hard. I fine home to my wings still being soft in the middle so I cake the restaurant and told them that the wings was not fried extra hard and it was the manager that I spoke with that went back and forth with me about it as I have been ordering the same wings for years. The customer service was not good considering that the store was officially closed and I live 15-20 minutes away on the high way. I tried putting the wings on the air fryer to get it crispy and it wasn't the same. My daughter had the same complaint. I placed an order online. Went in to get my order with my receipt on my phone. I go to show the girl my receipt and she says my receipt won't work I have to have the last four digits of my card number. Since when is receipt not good enough to show that's my damn order?? She refused to give me my pizza even with my receipt. Finally I found the number I'm tired and I'm frustrated. I was given a 10" gluten free crust pizza and I ordered a regular large pizza, I did notice the price was a bit up there and they brought me out the tiniest pizza I ever seen (keep in mind I have 3 kids waiting on this pizza) so I couldn't help but chuckle on what they were gunna have to say about it lol. BUT I asked for a refund because I was under the impression I ordered something else.... Because they charged me 17-18$ for a tiny pizza with 4 slices. The manager asked if I wanted to have them remake it instead of a refund and again I assumed I would get the large I ordered. So I agreed. She then brings me ANOTHER TINY LITTLE PIZZA WITH REGULAR CRUST. Smh lol and I had also purchased mozzarella sticks at the store because they sounded delish. But again I was waiting for like 30 min to get the remake so of course the cheese sticks were now hard and non cheese stretchy. Sooo yea. The price for a XL PIZZA AND 24 WINGS is 34$ mind you...... I was charged 27$ in total for a tiny little four slice personal pizza and 6 mozzarella sticks. So when I received the second tiny teeny pizza I just laughed again and left. Ultimately the white pizza I normally get is NORMALLY great. But today I DEFINITELY paid way too much for a tiny pizza that my kids now have to share two bites per kid and I get to explain that to three kids under five years old. It's been hit or miss for me. When the pizza is good, it's the best around! However, other times I've gotten it, the pizza has been way overcooked to the point of being burnt and there's been very little sauce on it. I called in an order to pick up, didn't feel like cooking and decided to splurge on pizza and meatballs. Specifically a thin crust pepperoni 1/2 jalapeño with garlic, 2 orders of meatballs, and a salad. Got home-(about 15 min away)-no meatballs, but some undercooked wet hot wings in their place. The pizza was also undercooked, the bottom was soggy. Regular crust, not thin. The jalapeños were also wet, not cooked. No garlic anywhere on the pizza. I called of course. The girl that answered was very nice, and after speaking with the manager a few times I did get a "credit", which I guess when I go back to that establishment I have a credit. I cooked the pizza and wings and ended up eating a little of each my husband and I both feel like crap today. After that experience I have no desire to go back. Their food is delicious; just off the bat, I will give them that. Everything came out fresh and as we ordered it. (We got a pizza, ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and meatballs.) However, (literally 2/3rds) of the staff leave a lot to be desired. There were three servers/food runners. It was not busy and frankly, in my opinion only, the owners could cut costs not by charging nearly $1 each for condiments but by cutting more staff. Especially when they are too busy gabbing about their weekend plans and blatantly ignoring a very cordial older gentleman who just wanted a box for his pizza. There was one girl who was hustling and personally got handed a tip for her bustle. Didn't catch her name.. Anyhow, I understand the reason behind the S rating for equipment and silverware because the soda machines were not wiped down and when we asked for different silverware as ours were dirty, the forks were shown to me as if I'm blind and told, "No, they're clean--it's just water spots." Okay, learn to wipe down your forks and knives then. As I told my husband, I don't care if you took them to the back to spit shine, don't make the customer feel unreasonable for not wanting to put a dirty fork in their mouth. Retrain some of your staff or have a manager busting their butt on the floor and checking on patrons. Oh, and my husband's chair broke underneath him.. just sitting. He's not a big guy by any means. A little TLC and maintenance would go a long way at this fairly new location. Definitely check it out for the food if not for the service. read more

Awful. Waited 40 minutes in a near empty, dirty restaurant . We only ordered two sandwiches and they forgot about them. Very sloppy, tons of condiments dripping all over, could only taste mustard and the bread was burnt with incorrect ingredients. Watched the sandwiches sit in the window as they threw around tickets trying to figure out what was what. We finally asked an employee if they were our sandwiches and they reacted with relief because they didn't know whose they were. Customer deliveries were out of order. Very sad since I used to go to the original Barro's in Phoenix. This location needs investigation for sanitation and poor management. Will never come to this location again. read more

This is my second time ordering here, first time was great, nothing bad, nothing special. Tonight I placed a order online, went to pickup my order 40 minutes later like the email confirmation said. Showed up 45 minutes later to find out it wasn't ready. No problem. Ended up waiting 40 minutes at the restaurant!! I went to the cashier several times with no response on to where my order was or how much longer I would have to wait. I had already paid online and asked for a refund. They lady didn't know how to do this I was offered a soda for the wait. I don't drink soda and just wanted to cancel EVERYTHING!!! Since that didn't happen I got the food and went home to find out I got soggy cold hot wings, I ordered extra crispy, some old ass celery and a pizza that looked like it was sitting somewhere for hours. The garlic bread was warm so that was a plus I won't be going to this place again. I understand things happen when you are so busy but at least take care of your customers no matter what!!!
