Literally…read moreevery place I've EVER been to I've felt as though the shop didn't value me as a customer EXCEPT THIS PLACE. Service was INCREDIBLE. I was nervous taking my 1978 truck anywhere, especially since it was running pretty bad. I had no clue what was wrong and after I ran it bone dry on gas (yes, i know) it wouldn't start. Shout out to marquette detailing as they towed it to south side's shop. I got a call the SAME DAY saying they looked at it and it just needed A LOT of tune ups. IT WAS READY LATER THAT DAY. Literally where else?!?! I know stuff like this depends on the issue, part availability etc but holy cow was I excited. I attached a picture of my invoice for anyone who is curious! The total was $656.88 Although obviously expensive and hurt my wallet, as soon as I started my truck, shifted into drive, and stepped on the gas, I knew they fixed the issues. My truck struggled going up hills (hard to drive in MQT) but now it runs SO SMOOTH. They also have an after hours pick up spot for your keys and it was very convenient, as I worked late that day. From the moment I stepped on the gas I knew they fixed it. A special thank you to Jerry Spruitenburg (service advisor) for making me feel like a valued customer and treating me so kindly, as well as the best tech around, M Codd (sorry I don't know your first name), for using your mechanical magic on my old Ford! It literally feels like a brand new truck!!! South side was truly the best place I've ever been. THANK YOU

Wanted $1400 for new pads and rotors and still not replacing the caliper that had causing the problem. They purposely continue to fix the current issue, but could care a less about fixing the cause. A local shop fixed the pads, rotors AND calipers for less than quality car wanted to just replace the pads and rotors. This place is dishonest and overpriced. Call around and find an honest reasonably priced local garage...you'll be much happier!!

We thought bringing a foreign car to the rugged north - with no dealership in sight - was a dicey decision, but the folks at Ideal have taken care of everything that our precious VW Beetle needs. I feel that we are treated very well and we receive expert care here. As a woman, I'm giving extra kudos for the Ideal staff, because they make me feel heard and respected. I am an old school motor head, having wrenched on cars with Dad decades ago. Sadly, so many shops and dealerships have acted as if I didn't know a dipstick from a torque wrench. The folks at Ideal put me at ease right away and make me feel very confident with their estimates and opinions. While I never hope to have car trouble, I hope that I can always limp to Ideal to get things fixed!!

These involved a deer, a felony hit & run(they still looking for him), and most recently, a massive storm blew over a tree, part of which landed on my truck. Each time I was impressed with their warm friendly atmosphere, their communication with me in regards to the progress, their professionalism, efficiency, and the quality of their work. They have finished my vehicles on time or even a bit early as compared to their initial time estimate. As an added bonus, they are the only preferred vendor for my insurance company in the county and as such, there was no need to wait for an adjuster nor did I need to get multiple estimates. From my perspective there is no need to go anywhere else for auto body repair. You will not be even a little disappointed...

*****RED FLAG******* ***DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE***…read more Had my Traverse in December for front-end repairs and a dented back hatch. I received a rental car with the tire pressure and check engine lights on, along with incorrect paperwork. This should have been my first red flag. When I called to report the mistakes, the receptionist dismissed it. After picking up my car, I called to say the backup camera wasn't working. The receptionist told me to stop by for a scan. When I did, I was told Bradley wasn't there and to come back after the weekend. On Monday, they walked out, checked the camera, and said it needed an "update" but everything was working, and I needed to take it to the dealership. They claimed they would go after my insurance if the they were found at fault. That's unacceptable; if they are at fault, they should own up to it. The dealership found that my camera and harness were corroded and needed replacing. I spoke with Gerald, who claimed corrosion was impossible in a sealed box - a clear sign he didn't know what he was talking about. The owner, Brad, eventually called. He admitted Gerald was wrong, and the camera didn't need an update, but now refuses to fix the backup camera, calling it a "known-issue," even though it worked perfectly before I brought my vehicle in. This company has lied multiple times throughout this entire process, from start to finish. They cannot be trusted with your vehicle

He tested my Jeep which gave me the confidence to take a long drive back home. I was worried I'd be nickel-n-dimed but nothing of that sort happened. Thank you.
