Wonderful little place right on the airport where you can watch the planes come and go...we had the nachos which were perfect for the two of us, we also had the barrio blond beer ...fantastic! Highly recommend! Especially if you're traveling in and out of Gateway airport read more

Not sure why Barrio doesn't get a better rating?!? We've been going to Barrio since moving to the area and find it to be delicious with great service every time! Excellent burgers cooked just the way you order them. Medium with a little pink, yes! Good fries and delicious cold beers. We also like the pretzel bites appetizers with cheese and mustard dip. Everything we've ordered has been great, the kids (teens) love it too. Bonus if you like to watch the jets take off, this place is right next to the runway with front row seats! Five stars for Barrio Brewing Co read more

My son wanted to buy my wife and I lunch so we stopped by BBC to check it out. It's kind of hard to find due to poor gps and the business front does not face a major road. None the less, we found it. We found a really cool environment with excellent views of the airport tarmac. We watched a few planes take off, land, and refuel. Just something you don't see every day. You get a free appetizer upon yelp check in, so I opted for the pretzels with beer cheese and spicy mustard. They did not disappoint! Next up we're the meals. I ordered the beer brat with kraut and a side order of onion rings . The wife ordered the French onion sliders and onion rings and my son followed up with a fire burger and fries. Everything was very good, cooked perfectly, and had excellent flavor. The hardest thing was deciding what to eat as they offer a little bit of everything. My next meal will be the fried fish tacos with habanero cream sauce. We can't wait to go back. Oh, and the service was top notch. Prompt, courteous, and accommodating rounds it out pretty well. Oh, and the house Michellada is to die for! read more

First stop at Barrio and can say we would come back: 5* plane watching 4* food 3.5* beer Friendly service but a tad slow when not very crowded, but we were relaxed and not in a hurry. The Sonoran dog was excellent and fries decent (they were out of tots, bummer). The pulled pork sandwiches were good. Rueben was not great - one half was very fatty, the other half ok but not very flavorful; Caesar salad was good. Enjoyed the Rojo Scottish ale; the Copperhead pale ale was decent, Hipsterville Hazy IPA was not great in my opinion, the Citrazone citrus IPA was good. Flight of 4 - 5oz pours for $10. We sat on their small outside patio on the side of the building. It was pretty warm on a 70 degree January day and they only have 2 umbrellas. Would be nice if they had a shade sail over the space! Can't imagine a warmer day out there in the spring and no way in the summer! read more

Always a fun visit when we get a seat near the window or out on the patio so we can see the planes. We enjoy the food and drink here and have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It's not a fancy place but what brewery truly is? The food is tasty and the drinks are yummy too! Breakfast burritos are always a hit with us and breakfast beer is too. Service is pretty good here and the staff have all been attentive when we're there. We've even been here for a catered party and that too was a successful and tasty event. Come check out Barrio Brewing at Mesa Gateway Airport for a one of a kind type of brewery experience! read more

Ordered their "Mile High" piled Ruben.. What a disappointment. There was very little meat. No swiss cheese or sauerkrautt and no Russian dressing that I could taste. Fortunately I ordered extra Russian dressing for my tater tots.. which were really good. So basically I paid $17 for tater tots. So frustrating. Food businesses just don't care anymore. read more

My favorite thing about this brewery was the view. Being able to watch airplanes and helicopters takeoff and land was awesome. The food and beer were both okay, the cheese that is served with the pretzel was yummy. I do wish they had more IPA's on the menu, but that's just nitpicking. The service was friendly and attentive. I did like that using the Yelp check-in you get a free appetizer. read more

Fun place to meet people for drinks. I enjoyed my nachos and the bartender was friendly and easy to banter with. When there is a lot of people, the acoustics make it louder. Fortunately, there were only a few small groups during lunch. read more

I don't like giving a one star but here goes. I've tried eating here a couple of times. But they seem to have a problem with staff being able to seat people even when there are many open tables. The staff seems to be reluctant about it. Recently I asked to be seated by the windows with open tables. Said they didn't have server for the area and it would 5-10 minutes. Doesn't make sense to turn a way paying customers! Seat me and the family get us some beers, we can wait for the food. read more

Plane spotting! Alrighty, let's begin! Menu: American pub food. They were out of a lot of stuff when we visited on a quiet weekend to do a little plane spotting with the kids. Restaurant: not much seating for the size of Restaurant it is. We opted to sit outside to see more planes and found a lot of the outdoor searing to be very old and wobbly. Service: decent. Food: this is "I'm gonna grab a quick bite between avation classes and I don't want to go into town" food. It's for a captive audience if you know what I mean. Nothing special at all, very average airport bar food. Which is somewhat disappointing given the location. Overall, I'll be at the park next door watching planes next time. read more

Gracefully this place gets a 1 star. The view is nice, but the food is just not that great. Visited recently and just was not impressed by the quality of the food. The service was good and the waitress was very attentive. This place should be on bar rescue, I'm afraid to see what the kitchen looks like. The guacamole was hella brown and just sad. I killed a little roach with my napkin at the end of my meal. I don't want to know where that fella came from. read more

Great service, vibes, and beer! We made a reservation for a high top table and I wished I picked the regular ones because those are closer to the windows to see out on the tarmac. We got the bacon and turkey panini with regular fries, bacon jam sliders with beer battered fries, and beer sponges (pretzels with cheese). They were out of pulled pork which means their food is actually fresh. The panini came with a Mayo packet, an immediate red flag. It was okay but just very plain tasting, like it was missing the sauce. No knife to spread the Mayo though. The regular fries were overcooked and tasted old. The bacon jam sliders and beer battered fries were delicious. The beer sponges/pretzels were good but the honey mustard was awful. I love honey mustard and I took one bite of theirs and it was so vinegary that my eyes watered for five minutes. The cheese that came with it was really good. Overall would be back but would avoid the regular fries and honey mustard. read more

Barrio Brewing offers a unique setting, on the airport property at Mesa-Gateway. You can be seated at a window or the patio and watch planes taking off and landing. Great fun for kids! The food is really good. I personally think their wings are the best in the East Valley. Their burgers, sandwiches, and tacos are amazing. Then there is the beer. They have a full assortment of blondes, ales, IPAs-you name it. The staff are sufficiently attentive but are always in a hurry and it shows. You won't get much personalized attention but if you're like me, you can look past it as long as everything else is great-and it is. read more

Really enjoy this place. It's right next the the runway at Williams Gateway Airport. You can sit outside and watch planes, private jets, helicopters and zeppelins take off and land. Ok maybe not zeppelins....But it's a pretty cool experience and the food is good. Top favorites are carne asada quesadilla and the pulled pork sliders. Drinks are reasonably priced and pretty good. read more

Barrio Brewing - Craft Beer Menu - American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

This is a four star restaurant, but the fifth star goes to our server, Ashley. She made our date night awesome with her wit and charm! And I'm really not kidding. Beyond the stellar service, we came for Restaurant Week and were pleasantly surprised. For a brewery their food was above the bar. We enjoyed their craft beers, but the real star of the show was the food. The spinach artichoke dip was the most unique and delicious version of this dish I've ever had. To the point that I wanted to lick the bowl clean. The pub fried fish tacos were well cooked with Ana amazing chipotle-style sauce. My wife has the Rueben sandwich, and for being a Rueben snob she really enjoyed it. We decided to take our dessert home for later, so I may have to update my review. This place was just a lively, fun place to go. Fair warning: Sports bar-style TVs, high noise level, but very clean and well-lit. This may be a new regular place for us. read more

I stopped in here for a beer and a bite to eat while I was killing time between my daughters soccer games. The place was really busy. I walked in and was greeted right away. There was a wait for a table so I asked if I could sit at the bar, if it was open seating. It was so I sat there. The bartender (I can't remember her name unfortunately) was amazing!! She was so friendly and helpful and very attentive. I ordered a grapefruit IPA for my beer and the chicken quesadilla for lunch. The beer was very tasty! It had a nice subtle grapefruit taste but over all was just a very tasty IPA. My quesadilla came out fresh and hot. The chicken was flavorful and they put a perfect amount of cheese on it. Was so delicious!! Outside there were Air Force planes and apparently they were practicing stuff so you could watch them land and take off and what not. The place is family friendly. I will definitely stop in if I'm down in that area again some time. read more

We have visited this place for dinner several times and the service has always been slow and mediocre. The food isn't great, my son's plate came out ice cold, they gave us blue cheese instead of ranch which is fine but the waitress never returned so I wasn't able to get it fixed. $60 wasted on cold food and horrible service. read more

Amazing food. Great service. Fun ambiance. Watch planes take off and land while you eat and/or drink. Fighter jets parked just outside. You won't go home hungry or disappointed. Looooove it here! The service was excellent! The bartender was totally on top of it! All of the food was high quality and fresh. The beers were wonderful and the selection was perfect. Don't go here!!! Hanging out on the flight deck and watching cool planes land and take off is boring. The grass hill for the kids to play on is horrible and should be banned. Ok now hopefully they all stopped reading. This place is freaking awesome. The food has not disappointed me yet. The staff gets you in quick and is attentive. Prices are normal, but the beer is not. Ice Cold, Brewery style, full of taste and joy. In front are a few TV's where you can hang with the guys likes freaking cheers! Or hang back and play shuffle board with your kids. Yeah, so please don't go here. I don't want it getting too popular! :) read more

We tried this place based on Yelp reviews and we prefer local restaurants. I had the California burger with onion rings husband had the Western burger with beer batter fries. Both burgers were good, and big, as if made at home. My onion rings were over cooked but our server identified that and requested new rings, which came out within a few minutes after our meals were delivered. The beer batter fries were really good. Overall great experience. read more

My parents told me about this place. My dad took my mother and I after picking us up from the airport. They have quite a large menu. It was difficult to decide what to eat. My burger was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries. It's a great place to take the family to watch planes fly out or to enjoy a fun time with friends. Their beers are good so we were excited to go. I'll start with the good- the outdoor area is great for kids. It is pretty small but has a gate that opens on to a larger lawn. That's pretty much it, unfortunately. The hosts were pretty confused about where to seat us and then unsure where the high chairs were for my toddler. Then tried to put one at a high rise so that didn't work! Not a dealbreaker at all but it just kept getting worse.... My husband ordered chicken and rice soup.... and was brought chili over 30 min later. He asked for a spoon and waited another ten minutes. Then brought their attention to the fact that it wasn't the soup he asked for. When he asked for the wild chicken and rice, they were out. Even my son's kids meal came with the wrong side. The table behind us sent two of their meals back for being undercooked. My pretzel came out ok but it was "meh" for what I wanted. My grapefruit IPA was awesome! Our server was apologetic and said the kitchen got slammed. I would try it out again- I know places have bad nights. I honestly rarely give one star reviews but I figured this was a heads up for other diners. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday late afternoon and sat at the bar as always. The bartender was a pleasant lady that I have seen here a few times. It was nice watching the planes come and go while we were here. I had a Raspberry Ale as it was the closest to a sour they had. He had a Hipsterville IPA. I would love to see a wider variety of selections for beer. Other than that it's always a pleasant time. Everyone here is always super nice! read more

Excellent food and great service with many options open for breakfast and lunch and dinner

Went there a couple weeks ago with another friend for lunch, just to see that they had changed the menu a bit. They removed a few items completely. And changed the prices. So, if you see my original post add $2 to most of the prices on that menu. Also, they now charge to change out a burger to a chicken breast or veggie burger. And still charge extra if you ask for additional things like bbq sauce (I got in the habit of bringing my own with me). Will be taking this off my favorites list. They do still offer the free appetizer when you check in with the Yelp app. read more

This is such a cool brewery with great food and a unique aviation-themed ambiance. The outdoor view is really pretty. My husband and I shared the spinach artichoke dip, which was so tasty and citrusy. I got the southeast chicken panini and he got a burger, and both were absolutely delicious and filling (had to get half our entrees to go). The burger also came with this outrageous chimichurri sauce, which I totally stole - definitely get some on the side of whatever you're ordering! Anyway, great spot to grab a quick yet satisfying meal! read more

Great place to enjoy a beer and a tasty sandwich with friends. I had the Belgian Trippel and the Blonde Ale, both delicious beers! Horrible service. Waited forever to be seated with hardly anyone there. We asked to be seated with several open tables and they said they were too under staffed to seat us. Talked with "the supervisor/bartender" who was incredibly rude and condescending and said "we were making the wait even longer by talking to him." Never going back.
