My son wanted to buy my wife and I lunch so we stopped by BBC to check it out. It's kind of hard to find due to poor gps and the business front does not face a major road. None the less, we found it. We found a really cool environment with excellent views of the airport tarmac. We watched a few planes take off, land, and refuel. Just something you don't see every day. You get a free appetizer upon yelp check in, so I opted for the pretzels with beer cheese and spicy mustard. They did not disappoint! Next up we're the meals. I ordered the beer brat with kraut and a side order of onion rings . The wife ordered the French onion sliders and onion rings and my son followed up with a fire burger and fries. Everything was very good, cooked perfectly, and had excellent flavor. The hardest thing was deciding what to eat as they offer a little bit of everything. My next meal will be the fried fish tacos with habanero cream sauce. We can't wait to go back. Oh, and the service was top notch. Prompt, courteous, and accommodating rounds it out pretty well. Always a fun visit when we get a seat near the window or out on the patio so we can see the planes. We enjoy the food and drink here and have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It's not a fancy place but what brewery truly is? The food is tasty and the drinks are yummy too! Breakfast burritos are always a hit with us and breakfast beer is too. Service is pretty good here and the staff have all been attentive when we're there. We've even been here for a catered party and that too was a successful and tasty event. Ordered their "Mile High" piled Ruben.. What a disappointment. There was very little meat. No swiss cheese or sauerkrautt and no Russian dressing that I could taste. First stop at Barrio and can say we would come back: 5* plane watching 4* food 3.5* beer Friendly service but a tad slow when not very crowded, but we were relaxed and not in a hurry. The Sonoran dog was excellent and fries decent (they were out of tots, bummer). The pulled pork sandwiches were good. Rueben was not great - one half was very fatty, the other half ok but not very flavorful; Caesar salad was good. Enjoyed the Rojo Scottish ale; the Copperhead pale ale was decent, Hipsterville Hazy IPA was not great in my opinion, the Citrazone citrus IPA was good. Flight of 4 - 5oz pours for $10. We sat on their small outside patio on the side of the building. It was pretty warm on a 70 degree January day and they only have 2 umbrellas. Would be nice if they had a shade sail over the space! Can't imagine a warmer day out there in the spring and no way in the summer! read more

I don't like giving a one star but here goes. I've tried eating here a couple of times. But they seem to have a problem with staff being able to seat people even when there are many open tables. The staff seems to be reluctant about it. Recently I asked to be seated by the windows with open tables. Said they didn't have server for the area and it would 5-10 minutes. Doesn't make sense to turn a way paying customers! Seat me and the family get us some beers, we can wait for the food. read more

Barrio Brewing offers a unique setting, on the airport property at Mesa-Gateway. You can be seated at a window or the patio and watch planes taking off and landing. Great fun for kids! The food is really good. I personally think their wings are the best in the East Valley. Their burgers, sandwiches, and tacos are amazing. Then there is the beer. They have a full assortment of blondes, ales, IPAs-you name it. The staff are sufficiently attentive but are always in a hurry and it shows. Plane spotting! Alrighty, let's begin! Menu: American pub food. They were out of a lot of stuff when we visited on a quiet weekend to do a little plane spotting with the kids. Restaurant: not much seating for the size of Restaurant it is. We opted to sit outside to see more planes and found a lot of the outdoor searing to be very old and wobbly. Service: decent. Food: this is "I'm gonna grab a quick bite between avation classes and I don't want to go into town" food. It's for a captive audience if you know what I mean. Great service, vibes, and beer! We made a reservation for a high top table and I wished I picked the regular ones because those are closer to the windows to see out on the tarmac. We got the bacon and turkey panini with regular fries, bacon jam sliders with beer battered fries, and beer sponges (pretzels with cheese). They were out of pulled pork which means their food is actually fresh. The panini came with a Mayo packet, an immediate red flag. It was okay but just very plain tasting, like it was missing the sauce. No knife to spread the Mayo though. The regular fries were overcooked and tasted old. The bacon jam sliders and beer battered fries were delicious. The beer sponges/pretzels were good but the honey mustard was awful. I love honey mustard and I took one bite of theirs and it was so vinegary that my eyes watered for five minutes. The cheese that came with it was really good. Overall would be back but would avoid the regular fries and honey mustard. read more

Really enjoy this place. It's right next the the runway at Williams Gateway Airport. You can sit outside and watch planes, private jets, helicopters and zeppelins take off and land. Ok maybe not zeppelins....But it's a pretty cool experience and the food is good. Top favorites are carne asada quesadilla and the pulled pork sliders. This is a four star restaurant, but the fifth star goes to our server, Ashley. She made our date night awesome with her wit and charm! And I'm really not kidding. Beyond the stellar service, we came for Restaurant Week and were pleasantly surprised. For a brewery their food was above the bar. We enjoyed their craft beers, but the real star of the show was the food. The spinach artichoke dip was the most unique and delicious version of this dish I've ever had. To the point that I wanted to lick the bowl clean. The pub fried fish tacos were well cooked with Ana amazing chipotle-style sauce. My wife has the Rueben sandwich, and for being a Rueben snob she really enjoyed it. We decided to take our dessert home for later, so I may have to update my review. This place was just a lively, fun place to go. Fair warning: Sports bar-style TVs, high noise level, but very clean and well-lit. This may be a new regular place for us. read more

Horrible service. Waited forever to be seated with hardly anyone there. We asked to be seated with several open tables and they said they were too under staffed to seat us. Talked with "the supervisor/bartender" who was incredibly rude and condescending and said "we were making the wait even longer by talking to him." Never going back. We were in town for a tournament and called to make a reservation for a large group. The manager Heidi was awesome to work with while getting everything set up. When we arrived the tables were set up perfectly for our group with water and glasses waiting for our thirsty group. The food and drinks were great, price reasonable, and the waiter was amazing. He handled our group perfectly and all 40 of us had delicious food delivered very quickly and no mistakes on any of the bills! read more

Their beers are good so we were excited to go. I'll start with the good- the outdoor area is great for kids. It is pretty small but has a gate that opens on to a larger lawn. That's pretty much it, unfortunately. The hosts were pretty confused about where to seat us and then unsure where the high chairs were for my toddler. Then tried to put one at a high rise so that didn't work! Not a dealbreaker at all but it just kept getting worse.... My husband ordered chicken and rice soup.... and was brought chili over 30 min later. He asked for a spoon and waited another ten minutes. Then brought their attention to the fact that it wasn't the soup he asked for. When he asked for the wild chicken and rice, they were out. Even my son's kids meal came with the wrong side. The table behind us sent two of their meals back for being undercooked. My pretzel came out ok but it was "meh" for what I wanted. My grapefruit IPA was awesome! Our server was apologetic and said the kitchen got slammed. I would try it out again- I know places have bad nights. I honestly rarely give one star reviews but I figured this was a heads up for other diners. read more

Don't go here!!! Hanging out on the flight deck and watching cool planes land and take off is boring. The grass hill for the kids to play on is horrible and should be banned. Ok now hopefully they all stopped reading. This place is freaking awesome. The food has not disappointed me yet. The staff gets you in quick and is attentive. Prices are normal, but the beer is not. It was nice watching the planes come and go while we were here. I had a Raspberry Ale as it was the closest to a sour they had. He had a Hipsterville IPA. We tried this place based on Yelp reviews and we prefer local restaurants. I had the California burger with onion rings husband had the Western burger with beer batter fries. Both burgers were good, and big, as if made at home. My onion rings were over cooked but our server identified that and requested new rings, which came out within a few minutes after our meals were delivered. The beer batter fries were really good. My parents told me about this place. My dad took my mother and I after picking us up from the airport. They have quite a large menu. It was difficult to decide what to eat. My burger was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries. It's a great place to take the family to watch planes fly out or to enjoy a fun time with friends. This is such a cool brewery with great food and a unique aviation-themed ambiance. The outdoor view is really pretty. My husband and I shared the spinach artichoke dip, which was so tasty and citrusy. I got the southeast chicken panini and he got a burger, and both were absolutely delicious and filling (had to get half our entrees to go). The burger also came with this outrageous chimichurri sauce, which I totally stole - definitely get some on the side of whatever you're ordering! Went there a couple weeks ago with another friend for lunch, just to see that they had changed the menu a bit. They removed a few items completely. And changed the prices. So, if you see my original post add $2 to most of the prices on that menu. Also, they now charge to change out a burger to a chicken breast or veggie burger. And still charge extra if you ask for additional things like bbq sauce (I got in the habit of bringing my own with me). Will be taking this off my favorites list. We've been here a few times and have recently noticed a change in the food. The quality is just not there anymore. We always get the spinach artichoke dip and this time it came out looking completely different, it was oily and didn't taste the same at all. When we asked the server if they changed it, he told us it all depends on when they make it. The first batch will be oily (like what we got) but if it's made the day before it's not so oily . My fish tacos came out almost burned, lost the flavor during the cooking process. The food was just not good and it's unfortunate with prices being higher these days than usual you want to get quality food when going out to a restaurant. Our server was great, staff has always been great but not sure we will be coming back which again is unfortunate because we love watching the aircraft out on the patio. read more

Might as well start this review... pretty sure it's all going to be downhill. Came in and was told 50 minutes wait.... As you can tell from the picture, 20 minutes in there were plenty of tables. We were told they were short staffed... 1 hostess who just stands there, another female who seems like she is cleaning table and hosting, and then our male waiter and the 2 bartenders. Now, I've been a hostess and told to help the wait staff when too busy but apparently these two girls are too good for that. Let's see... placed drink order and that took 5 minutes and no straw for your girl but I saw them in everyone else's sodas and teas. Ordered the Bavarian Beer Sponges as an appetizer, AMAZING pretzels!!! Took 22 minutes to get them, was worth the wait.... Sorry I was hungry and took the picture late lol! There is now 2 more wait staff now, hallelujah!! The waiter took our order and I had to ask for a refill of my soda (waiter did not seem happy). Refill on my soda only took 2 minutes.... Woohoo! 20 minutes for food to arrive. On to the food.... It is GREAT. Everything was hot and delicious. No complaints there. Not sure it was worth the wait but definitely someplace to go if you are in the area. I had the quesadilla and it was great... I wstole my fathers French fries and they were good too. My parents both got the sliders, they were a bit disappointed with the fact they were well done, over well done. My husband had the Sonoran dog and said it was amazing. If you are getting any type of burger..... TELL them the way to cook it because they don't ask. Even the quesadilla was a bit blackened but it was fine. We have come to Barrio often. We went in today for Fathers Day lunch. Not surprised there was a wait and they were busy. I was absolutely astonished by the rude people and the comments that people were making about having to wait. We ordered a drink and sat on the patio to enjoy the planes and weather until our table was ready with our three kiddos. The staff did apologize for the wait and breathed a sigh of relief as we did not tear them down or treat them with disrespect. Thank you Barrio for the great beer, great food and great service!! We are not pilots, but my son does love planes so we will be back again read more
