First time to this joint. Met a few friends at the bar area tonight for a drink and bite to eat. I had a good time. Brews were good, food was good, service was too. Kind of odd being at the airport. Was a little difficult to find on our way here, however, a cool spot nonetheless. Check it out. Ask for Astrid. She is the $#!t. read more

Almost always out of the beer I select. Tortilla chips served with the smallest side of salsa which isn't very good to begin with. Soft pretzel app is also only served with a very hot mustard, no cheese or mild mustard. It's over priced and not as good as it has the potential to be. read more

The beer here is always good. Unfortunately, you can't count on the food or service. It's very inconsistent. It's close to home for us so we continue to comeback but our expectations are never too high. It's sad because the Tucson location is usually good. Get it together Barrio. read more

Talk about a totally random spot for a brewery! Barrio Brewing is just what I was looking for something close to home, good beer, great views of the airport, good service, and good food. I really enjoyed their grapefruit IPA which won me over. Another good perk is the outside area is kid friendly for kids to run around and play in the grass. read more

Love this place! Friendly staff, ice cold beer and really good food. Pretzels and Ruben sandwich are awesome.

Good food....horrible service. Had to ask for everything....refills, salt /pepper, extras that were ordered with our meal. Food was slow to come out and we sat for at least 20 minutes once we were done and had to ask for our check. read more

We love Barrio! Such a fun atmosphere to be able to watch planes coming in or taking off! The food and drinks are always wonderful!

Beer is delicious. Food is always really good and large portions. Being able to look out at the planes coming in and out is a bonus. I would definitely recommend. I had the pesto panini and my husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were excellent! read more

Decided to try Barrio for breakfast..... wont make that mistake again. Biscuits and gravy were mushy goo, could not tell which was biscuit and which was overly salted gravy. Bar tender was clueless didn't have any idea what she was doing. We will stick to the beer from bow on. read more

It's cool to see how the planes were arriving and departing Drinking a beer (they had a big variety) and good food. Kids friendly

Good food and great view of planes taking off. Bartender gave us some small samples to help us decide on our beer, and we settled on a half rasp half blonde. Good beer. We ordered a pretzel which was a bit dense, and therefore not really hot through, which was a bit disappointing. I won't order that again, which makes me sad bc I live a good bar pretzel. Even 2 or 3 small superpretzels would have been better. The bartender helped me settle on the fried fish tacos which were wonderful. Husband had black and blue burger, well done, and it actually well-done. It seems to be difficult to cook a burger well-done, so he was very pleased. Service was fast and friendly, and we got to see three marine fighter jets take off at noon on Saturday after lunch, so it was a fun afternoon at Barrio! read more

Barrio Brewing - American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Cool place overlooking the tarmac of Mess Gateway. Jets were landing and taking off, making it a neat experience for the kids. Food was really good. Burgers, wings and beer battered fries were on point. Beverage selection was very good, with something for everyone. read more

Great and unique location and it seems to be pretty popular. Their quesadillas are BOMB - must try.

I had the Spinach Artichoke dip, Big Bang Burger, coleslaw and a brew. The appetizer was hot and tasty with plenty of chips to dip with. My burger had just enough heat from the pepper & chipotle cream cheese spread. The food was cooked just as I ordered and there was plenty left to take home. The service was very good, I was greeted at the door when I arrived my drink glass was continually filled and when departing I was bid a good rest of my evening. The wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The prices are comparable with restaurants in the valley. I am a repeat customer and will visit again very soon! read more

See all

Second time here, and just as happy as our first visit. I'm not a beer conisseur, but i like it, and the food is quite tasty! Pollo Pesto panini and carne tacos... delish! read more

Nice place to relax, watch planes come and go, have a beer and eat. Had the corned beef sandwich which was very good with onion rings. Some corned beef can be really chewy...this was very tender. Had the porter which was also very good. read more

This was the 1st time back to Barrio Brew since early Covid days. Based on today's experience (bad food, funky-tasting water, and sewage smell) we won't be back. Hard to believe the change - even the food server tried to warn us to not order burgers. read more

My husband and our friends have frequented Barrios a few times. Garrett has been our server twice and what a nice young man. The food is excellent and service is good. The best part of course is the beer and the fact that you can watch planes take off and land. Weekends are rather busy but give it a chance if you haven't already done so. All of us use to go to a brewery back home and now we've found something similar and close to our homes here to enjoy. read more

The menu does not deliver on the descriptions. We're patrons from the beginning and the food just keeps going downhill. The Sonoran dog no longer has the nice soft bimbo roll but just a cheap hot dog bun. No more charro beans but gloopy refrieds on the dog. And why did we have to wait for a table when there were multiple open tables when we were finally seated? Oh right, the hostess was too busy on her cell phone and there wasn't enough wait staff? I'll think again before going back. read more

He food is pretty good here. The only problem that I have is that they are way understaffed (at least today it was) and it took a long time to give food orders. The beer though is really cold and delicious!! read more

Visited Barrio a few weeks ago with my parents and had an amazing experience. Can't tell what I love more the food, beer or the service. Our server was Astrid and she took excellent care of us. She made sure our drinks were always filled and was calm through the busy dinner rush. Can't wait to come back!! read more

What can I say? I fell in love with this place! The food is great, the beer exceptional, and what a great way to spend time but to watch activity on the tarmac at Gateway airport. Try this place! You won't be sorry! read more

I go to Barrio often because I work close. I normally don't leave negative reviews but I had to this time. Earlier this week I ordered several orders of wings and eggrolls. They didnt provide ranch or the sauce for eggrolls. Today I was placed on hold for 18mins. A coworker went to order the food in person and to my surprise they didn't include croutons in my ceasar salad & got charged $3 for chicken that's actually deli meat. Not sure what's going on but moving forward we will definitely go else where for lunch. read more

Great service, atmosphere, food, and best of all.....beer! First time here and it's going to be a new favorite.

Not customer friendly from our experience today. Ordered 3 bloody's & thought asking for 3 small beer chasers was not going to cost $2 ea or $6. Would have been nice if the bartender told me there was charge. Manager said can't do nothing about it...pay up basically. Should have just refused the over spicy bloody's. read more

Came here because of the reviews but the food was a major disappointment. The spinach and artichoke dip was runny and Luke warm. I had a cheese quesadilla and the tortilla was gross. Fries were under cooked. Pretty much everything was bad. read more

Love this place & their foods are AMAZING!!!! My favorite is the artichoke dip:) Definitely will come back again.

We have been several times and will be back, we will only be back for the location and environment. The food is very average but more importantly the service has been awful each time we've been. Hopefully they come around and hire or train their staff because if the service was decent this would be one of the best, most unique spots in the east valley. read more

The most standout part about this location of Barrio Brewing Company is definitely the location, being off the tarmac at the airport is really really cool. When I went we got to see a wide variety of aircraft take off and land which is truly pretty unique for a restaurant, and it's RIGHT there too. After living in Tucson for so long, Barrio Brewing was my go to brewery for their food and most importantly their beer. This location has a very similar menu, but also serves breakfast which is what I had. Our group had a mix of different breakfasts, all of which were good. The first item I ordered was sold out, but I was happy with my second choice. This food is not mind blowing but is just good sound food. They do however, have my favorite stout on this planet, the Mocha Java Stout. I was far more concerned with pounding a few of those suckers down than getting breakfast. With my craving for that wonderful beer taken care of, some solid breakfast and a cool view I was happy. read more

One of our favorite lunch spots! Service can be a little slow but when you go with a good group of people, you hardly notice!

Cool out of the way place. I didn't even know they had a valley location until a few months ago. Been back many times since. Air Force jets take off a short distance away, so we had an interesting show. Beers are good and the burgers are delicious. read more

Love this place. Every time we go, the staff is super friendly, the food is great and the beer fantastic the Copperhead is my fav. It looks out over the runway so you can watch the planes come and go. They have a little patio for when the weather isn't too hot, and the have cornhole too. Definitely recommend Barrio! read more

We arrived at 12:10 and it was busy, seated at 12:40 left at 2. Servers were very nice but the food took forever. Bread was dry on my wife's sandwich, chicken on salad was tough, rest of food was bland and not worth the long wait. read more

Really good food, service was very good to. They have many beers that they brew, the only thing that I didn't like is such a lack of TVs for a brewery. What goes better with beer then sports? Need more TVs up. read more

Very good food and selection, had a few of their craft beers and they are very good, great view right on the airport can see planes take off and land entertaining for the kiddos read more

So for airport food this is five star for sure. Really good burgers and fries. Also, the two ladies working in the afternoon on 3/6 were really really awesome. Great customer service, you'd have thought you were at a five star steakhouse. read more

Waited for a long time for service and then once we did place our order it was not cooked right at all. Waited and waited and waited and waited to pay but that took a long time as well. We just chalked it up to it just wasn't our day ! read more

Wonderful atmosphere! All the dishes I have tried have been wonderful! Love watching the planes come and go; especially the fighter jets!

Was in tonight-Friday and was a blast. The girls behind the bar are super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and beer. I had the Phoenix and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. So juicy and full of flavor. Then the beer fries were so bomb! Matt came over to say and we struck up a great conversation. It's always great to talk with someone so passionate about his business. He was walking around and it seemed that everyone he spoke to was having a great time. This is now my go to spot and will be telling everyone. read more
