Given all the other high reviews, I must have had an outlier experience, but I had someone come and quote pest control, primarily for bugs, last fall. The quote was outrageous, something like $2k for the year, and I was told I had termites in my crawl space. I had my boyfriend and five other contractors look for termites, all said my area was fine, and termite free, and so I'm not quite sure why the rep from this company was trying to upsell this service for a non existent problem. Based on price and misinformation, I didn't go with them. Plus the guy who came out seems a little jittery and acted strange, so... really not interested. read more

We're new customers. Nate came out for a quote. he was friendly, polite, and upfront about the pricing. What he quoted us seemed decent, so we said yes and he got to work that day, spraying and taking down some wasp nests. It rained unexpectedly a few hours later, though not sure if that's related to the ant problem we had a few weeks later. We called in to have a re-treatment, they were able to schedule us fairly quickly, Nate came out again and treated at no cost as we were still under warranty from the previous treatment. We haven't seen any ants since. Honestly, can't ask for more. Upfront, friendly, not pushy, listened to our concerns, treatment seems to be working, and the price is decent. Thanks guys read more

We recently had an issue with yellowjackets in our hay barn, wife and I both ended up getting stung. We were able to pull the nest out with a tractor (with a cab) but the next morning there were still a fair amount of those little flying devils. We could not figure out where the remaining Yellowjackets were coming from. A couple of local companies were called and said they could send someone out to "asses the issue" and then send out someone with a contract. It was very frustrating as we already knew what the issues was and we just needed a professional to help us out. Not a yearly contract or a maintenance program. Just an expert! This is where Barrett Pest & Termite Services saved the day! We had never used their services before but should the need ever arise we certainly will in the future. They were called and showed up just a couple hours later. They were able to determine that we had got rid of the hive and what was left were just looking for the nest and will be gone in a few days. Slade was the employee that took the time to look around the barn and sprayed a couple of smaller hornet nest while he was there. When he was done the price could not have been lower!!!! In an age where everyone wants a monthly or yearly subscription it's nice to know there are honest companies out there that will actually listen to the customer and address the issue. This is a very honest company. I asked for their estimate. The guy came over was so nice and gave us great tips. He offer us an option to try our selves first or hire them to do the job. We decided to try first. I love that they didn't push or try to scare us into buying a plan that we didn't need. A couple days ago we noticed a fair number of yellow jackets around our front door area. My mother has a severe allergy to yellow jackets, therefore we needed control of the issue ASAP. We called Barrett Pest Control shortly after they opened and explained our concern. They had someone out to our house to handle the issue within a couple hours. The technician was very friendly and explained everything The price was appropriate for the time spent at the house and the services provided. Also, the yellow jackets were gone by that evening. Incredibly honest, decent & professional. The office staff is friendly as can be. I had to cancel twice & they were wonderful. 3rd appointment was a charm. Slade arrived on time, was courteous, professional & knowledgeable, wore booties over his shoes when entering our home, conducted a thorough investigation, & taught me what to look for w/regard to termites & other various bugs/rodents. Not only did Slade NOT find termites (which was my concern) he didn't try to sell me a package for spiders/ants/earwigs/whatever. He also grabbed a ton of lint out of my dryer lint trap door outside the house under the porch that I had no idea had become extremely clogged. This was by far the most pleasant service company I've dealt with in forever! Also, in past years I've had two other pest services come out & both tried to sell me something.
