I came on a Monday night for line dancing and was amazed by how much room there was to boogie and kick our boots. Great beer, great music, and great people! The Barrel House is the perfect spot for a fun summer night!I loved the country vibe, the spacious layout, and the welcoming atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, and the energy made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. As for the main star of the evening the BEER! My friend and I tried the Big Sur IPA, and it was so refreshing that I had to go back and grab some to go. A big shoutout to Ben behind the bar for holding it for me while I danced by boots off!. So thoughtful touch and great customer service! it's the kind of place that makes you want to come back for another round and another dance! Stopped by this newly opened beer garden and loved the vibe! Live music set the perfect tone while we relaxed on the spacious patio. No kitchen, but there's a food truck out front so you won't go hungry. Bonus points for being kid- and dog-friendly -- plus free pretzels! Great first experience! Walking in to BarrelHouse we were met with happy people, great music, and a bustling bar. We were quickly served (the servers were great! Friendly and knowledgeable), I had the Moscow mule and it was AMAZING. Really great flavor and quality (I was a little skeptical because it was from a tap- pleasantly surprised). I had friends who ordered food from the truck- they loved the tacos and carne asada fries! The patio is great! Lots of space, lots of available tables. A new edition to Bakersfield that does not disappoint. The space is really large with plenty and seating inside and out, the outdoor area even has a fire pit which is great for the evening. On top of the big selection of beer they always make sure to have food trucks on site so you do not have ubereats/leave to grab a bite. This place is so cool inside! The decor is so fun - we walked in and immediately I wanted to buy all the merch. They didn't have a food truck at the time so we brought some food and we ordered our drinks and went to the patio with our loot. The patio is really cool too - string lights different type of seating and it's nice and big! We love a good patio. I really want to come to this place for an event to see it in action too! We visit the Paso Robles BarrelHouse often, and this Bakersfield location is just as great. Very open, lots of tables and clean. The beers are amazing, the staff is super kind, and the free bingo night was such a fun surprise. Baytown Burgers outside was delicious too. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to. read more

First off, this place has been open for one week. I believe they have stuff pretty well set up. I would just say, I don't think they were ready for the Bakersfield crowds. I'm not quite sure of the set up but I believe they use glassware for the bears and plastic glasses for their other beverages. I will say Barrelhouse has been around for years b it this is their first brick and mortar location in Kern County. We attended a Live music night, to go along with our Barrelhouse ciders and Moscow Mule and an IPA. Every drink was very delicious. The look and feel of this place is very nice and will be a great location for years to come. They had two food trucks, which is must because their chips at the counter won't do it for me. I won't go into the food trucks, solely because one was great and the other was not so much and I don't believe that affects the location, since they will be forever in rotation. I'll just say the pastrami was alright but for the price I could've had 2-3 drinks (STEEP). Only thing I really felt was an issue, was one pour of an IPA we had ordered and due to them being out one tap, there was a ton of foam, the bartender went to a second tap, which I believe was also tapped out, so I was left with a 3/4 beer with 1/4 foam and it was in a plastic cup, so I know darn well it wasn't a 16oz beer. I'll give it this time and this time only, since they were newly open and VERY busy. Other than that one hiccup, I'd just say they need to be on top of the propane tanks for the outdoor torches they have on their patio. We will be back for sure, even if it just for a few hard root beers. Easily the best root beer EVER. Have a great one everyone and see you at the next spot. read more

Came here on a Friday evening, nice crowd both inside and outside. A bit too loud inside and couldn't hear over the band playing so we stepped outside. Nice place, would be nice to have some heaters available for occasionally chilly nights but I love the place. And the idea of a food truck for food options. Loved the beers we had. Barrelhouse Brewing is always a good time! This is their newer location- which I must say is a good size. Both indoor or outdoor seating available. Order your drinks at the bar and find your own seat. The stage was rocking on Friday night with live musicians. Food truck is located in parking lot. This barrelhouse has a great section for merchandise ( t shirts, drink coasters and etc). I ordered a strawberry frozen slushie, it was so nice having an option that was a beer alternative. The food smelled good, but didn't eat. Came here for line dancing, and the atmosphere was super fun! Everyone was very encouraging and there was plenty of seats to hang out when off the floor. I really liked how there is a lot of space on the dance floor. I tried a little bit of my friends's root beer and it was fantastic! I will definitely return. After attending the Grand Opening, I am excited to see more from the BarrelHouse. They will have local food trucks rotating on a regular basis. Check their calendar to see who is going to be serving food. Even though they were quite busy, we were able to get our beers quickly, and the folks behind the bar were very friendly. I'm excited for more concerts here, the sound system really booms. This is their fourth location. They have locations up and down the Central Valley. For a day-one opening, the staff was on point--everyone was smiling and clearly excited to be there. The indoor stage is easily the best I've seen at any BH taproom, and the sound definitely brings the energy, especially with that bass. Great new brewery space for bakersfield! Regular beers and rotating beers keeps this place easy to return to again and again. We came to the grand opening of the new Barrelhouse location and we had a great time! Barrelhouse made great use of space adding a stage to the venue. The place was packed for the opening but they were heavily staffed making lines move quickly to order beer. We enjoyed our beers- the blonde cold brew, coffee stout and sunnydaze. Today is the grand opening of Barrelhouse Brewing, so I had to come check it out. I've been to the Visalia and Paso Robes locations and they are always great to stop by and have a drink. As expected it was packed house. The ambiance is pretty cool they have a pretty nice size stage for concerts inside and a medium sized patio outside. The place is pet friendly, which is nice to know. One tip if you plan on stopping by bring your own food if you can. Unless you don't mind paying a bit extra for the food truck outside. They have a few video game machines and merch you can buy. If your into Barrel House beer this is the stop for you. read more

Came in on Valentines Day with my friend, we had a couple beers. It was very busy, we brought food in with us to eat. Also bought a salad and smash burger for her kiddos from the food truck. Band came in and did a mic check then left and didn't return while we were there for about another hour or so. I'd asked for a crowler right when I got there, bartender said they were out. Beer is better in cans, taste different at the tap room. Most of the times we've been there the music is super loud, but I mean loud. Mind you I am a DJ and play in a band and I love loud music, but their bands do not control the volume or EQ it. I would understand if music was nice, punchy, clear vocals, but not. read more

What a great place to have since the Crystal Palace is closed. I'm certain they will be getting big names with a stage that size. Was here for the opening day the music was way too loud you need to work it out, people need their eardrums LOL The beer is mediocre and way overpriced, I ordered one Big Sur 10 oz and it was over $10 with tax at that rate if I wanted to 16 oz beer would probably be 17 dollar range with tax. I'm sorry my salary hasn't risen as much as your beer prices have. A 12 oz beer for $12 you got to be kidding me. You don't own beer you only rented for a short time. LOL read more

great ambiance and the beer is from SLO, so it is always good. however, bakersfield gave us attitude when my wife's asked them to do secret menu beer that requires mixing 3 beers. a secret menu item she learned from the visalia beer tender. If my wife wants to mix 3 beers to make a specialty beer, they shouldn't shame her!!! But they will learn. read more
