The cab driver was very polite. The cab was scrupulously clean. Smooth driving. He said "Home sweet home" upon drop off. Did not surcharge. Maybe have to rethink Uber.

I got so mad at him I was raising my voice. He was absolutely unfit for purpose and all for a cost of $96! He didn't listen, he couldn't read and he certainly could not follow simple instructions. He should NOT be driving a cab, or anything else. He's dangerous.

I am a loyal Coop Taxi customer. I don't take taxis very often, maybe once or twice a month, but I…read moream pleased with their drivers. They have been consistently pleasant and laid back. It is rare that I have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for a ride. All of the drivers have been safe and get me from place to place in one piece. If there are any areas for improvement, I would say it is with the app: It could be simpler and more user friendly. For example, when using the app you have to manually select a pickup location. When choosing the pickup location the interface is very sensitive and is frustrating to use at times. I would suggest having your pickup location selected automatically using your GPS signal. This would be very helpful. Otherwise I think the app is useful. Thanks, and keep up the good work, guys!

Since it was the fixed rate I knew what I was paying before hand. In both cases the drivers were friendly and very polite. The drive was really smooth also. On the ride to the airport, I used the online booking. That was perfect. I needed my taxi to be there a 4:00am and it was there 15mins in advance. I received a text message when the driver got to my location. Very happy with the results

Would not recommend & the only positive thing was that we arrived home safely…read more It started off with the driver commenting that he was not happy it was a short distance. He then drove very fast & carelessly. The amount shown was $48 but he charged us $58. I asked why & he said because it was a van which did not make any sense as we had a ride a week before in a van with another taxi company & we were only charged $44. He was very rude when I asked him to explain & he repeatly said "it's a van". It was a terrible end to our long day after travelling for 18 hours. We did not appreciate being overcharged & being mistreated!

I decided to try this service after a few weekends ago using Dedicated Designated Drivers (see…read moreother review). Like the other company, they will call you ahead of time before they get there. No problems, as they were prompt at the time I needed them. I just called an hour before I needed a pick up. The driver was friendly and had a good chat on the way home. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is that there was some confusion with the payment option. When it came time to pay, I was going to pay by credit card, however, I was informed he didn't have the portable machine. So we had to go back out to a bank by my place so I could withdraw cash. My driver found out later that, yes, could pay by CC, he just had to phone it in to the office. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, as he was new and was probably not made aware of this. I think the business just needs to invest in a couple of portable payment machines like their competition, as this may cause future confusion (the website states you can pay by MC/Visa). If I do use them again, I will just take out cash, as I'm not a fan of giving my credit card over the phone unless I really know the company. Other than that, I had no problem with using them. They charge a flat $40-50 for surrounding Edmonton area, so it cost me $50, compare that to my last cab ride from the same area back home and it cost $70! So more than reasonable price. Now, the other company (Dedicated Designated Drivers) would have cost me about $72 (you can put in your destination on their website to get a quote), but if you are going a shorter distance their minimum charge is only $33. So depending on your distance, you can decide which company you want to go with. Either way, please don't drink and drive and give these guys a call should you drive and then end up drinking.

TappCar didn't arrive or even call me. 5:45pm was the scheduled time of arrival and now it is 7pm at my destination. I ended up driving my group to where we needed to be (company Christmas party) - certainly no drinks for this guy. Thank you, TappCar. Heh, I'm not really a drinker anyways. I tried calling three times to see what was going on with the driver. The first time I reached someone who put me on hold which ended up a dropped call after about five minutes. The other two calls also reached someone who said something to me which I couldn't make out. I ended up on hold both times. We couldn't be late so I ended up driving. Two stars rating provided mainly because I have yet to try the service. In my opinion, it takes two strikes to earn a one star rating. I guess I'm being generous.
