The most fun class ever! The music is amazing. Instructors are kind. A harder location to find but they give pretty good instructions. This is the ultimate vibe class. I do so many barre classes and always miss the cardio and this gives it all too me. Very girly pop fun read more

Such a fun, unique workout. I took Bounce & Barre, and this was my first time taking a trampoline class. The barre portion was surprisingly difficult even if for shorter amounts of time. Our instructor executed the class flawlessly, was audible the whole class, engaged with us throughout the class, and she seemed to be enjoying herself the whole time too! If you're looking for a workout that doesn't feel like a workout, this is it! I came with a friend and would love to bring other friends too! The building is old but the space feels great. read more

I love barre groove classes so much!! They are the most fun workouts I've ever done. I love the routines, the more complex the better!

I've been wanting to try out trampoline barre for a while and finally tried out both locations Downtown and on Newbury Street. The original Downtown location is small and located in an office building on the 3rd floor. There are a few lockers to keep your stuff and a crowded studio space for about 20 trampolines. There's a neon light sign and a front mirror to check your form. The Newbury location is located on the second floor of Lululemon and has a cafe as well as a locker room with two showers, towels, and amenities. For new members, you can get 2 classes for $30 or a 2-week unlimited membership for $49. I was able to take a bounce and sculpt, bounce and bands, and bounce and barre class. They also offer a pompom class and regular barre and dance classes. All of the instructors that I had were high-energy and demonstrated the moves and worked out along with you during the class. They also offer modifications to just do a basic bounce up and down or off the trampoline if you ever need it. The music is very loud which made it difficult to hear the instructors at times, but you could follow along with what everyone was doing in the class. The bounce and bands/barre class was a mix of jumping and then certain exercises with either the bands or off the trampoline, while the bounce and sculpt class was constant 20-25 minutes of jumping on the trampoline before weights workout. These workouts are definitely a fun way to get your heart rate up. read more

BEST fitness class I've literally ever done in my class. SOOO much fun, while getting a great sweat in. The bouncing is definitely cardio, while you still get to do some sculpting to get your muscle/strength work in. Also, all the instructors are so so nice, friendly and sweet. They're really motivating to all levels of fitness. The studio itself is also really cute, lots of pink merch, and hands down would recommend this studio to anyone :) read more

If you're looking for an easy workout, walk away! If you're looking for a unique, upbeat workout that will truly get your heart pumping, you've found your spot! Owned by a former Pats cheerleader, this studio is so adorable, tucked up on the third floor of an older building in DTX. I took the 45-minute Bounce & Bands workout, which mixes songs on the trampoline with songs on the floor using different resistance bands. It was an awesome mix of cardio and strength (but tbh my heart was going pretty fast the entire time). Miranda was our instructor, and she was the perfect blend of intense and motivating. She even sent me a personal email the next morning saying that I did an awesome job! A very nice touch. This is NOT your childhood trampoline bounce. The form is completely different: you stay in a squatted position the ENTIRE TIME and just move your legs. Your shoulders should stay in the same place, so don't expect to get big air; it's more about the strength of your push and how high your knees come up. It took 1-2 songs for me to get used to the standard bounce (and the variations with different hand & leg movements), but once I got the hang of it, it was really easy to get sucked in by the music and the routine. Bouncing is easier on your joints than other high intensity exercises, so although my heart was pumping super fast, my body wasn't in pain. It allows you to keep at it and really put in the work! Afterward, I felt so accomplished (and also very sweaty). The workout maximizes the time you spend in class, which I really appreciate. Release your inner (tough) cheerleader and try it out! read more

Super good workout tucked away in a corner of the Boston city -- this was only my second time doing barre but I really enjoyed the experience and really liked being able to use the trampolines in Barre Groove. It was quite an intense cardio workout in addition to the burn I felt in my legs from the barre part of the workout. The people at the studio were extremely high energy and even though it was 8 am it was a party and I had a good time with my friend! The only thing I'd warn against is making sure you read the instructions carefully since you might get lost coming in. read more

What a concept! I've taken my share of barre classes in different cities, but never have I encountered something like Barre Groove! The location is a bit tricky to find and there isn't much storage space, but the studio itself is beautiful. I took Bounce & Barre on a Friday afternoon and had tons of fun. I didn't think bouncing on a trampoline could be so exciting... (and difficult!) I'd recommend this class to people who want to have fun and try a barre class that's a bit different. The experience might be slightly off-putting if you're used to a strict routine at a different studio. I'd definitely come back with a group of friends or co-workers. This is a fun space to hold a celebration! read more

I go to barre groove in southie and it's been my favorite fitness class in Boston! I have an underdeveloped left arm and the instructors are always super helpful with adapting the exercises when needed. I can't wait for my next class! read more

AMAZING! Barre Groove really embraces having a fun workout no matter what fitness level you may be. All of the instructors I've met are so nice and great at what they do. If you're looking for a challenging and unique workout that will leave you smiling, this is the place! read more

Such a fun and cute studio! Alanna, a former Patriots cheerleader, opened this studio offering something new to the Boston area - jumping trampoline workouts! They offer a combination of Bounce, Pom, Barre workout, often combined in one class. You jump on the trampoline for the first 10 min or so, which is 6x the result as running I was told! :O Then you do some floor work such as barre or Band (resistance band). Alanna is such a great instructor, she's always full of energy but not over the top. The class accomodates 10-12 ppl I'd guess. (if using trampoline) More if you attend the Poms only class which gives you more floor space. And you'll feel like a cheerleader with those sparkly pom poms. She has easy to learn yet sexy/fun dance moves. She also runs a Heels workshop on monday nights, ranging in all types of dance by diff instructors. Her pricing is very reasonable and your first class is free! Go try it out, you'll be addicted. It's also very IG friendly, boomerangs ;) read more

I have been taking on-line classes from Barre Grove for several months now. The classes are always a little different, and Aliana the owner is great and keeping the energy level up. My personal favorite is her 30 minute Bounce Class. I have also taken many Barre and Bounce, and Bounce and Bands Classes. Perhaps, one day this pandemic will end and I can travel to Boston and take a class in person. For now I remain grateful for the livestream options. read more

Honestly the most fun you'll have in a group fitness class. Make no mistake, this is NOT Zumba - it's so much better. The music, choreo and pom poms are a unique feature to this studio and what makes it so fun. The first class can be tough but Alanna breaks down the moves and the moves repeat throughout the song! Practice makes perfect, right? My class worked out to upbeat songs, Maneater and Applause to name a couple and really worked up a sweat. The instructor also provides modifications for some moves and encourages you to add some sass to your routine. In short, I'll def be back for more choreo cardio! Best part is your first class is free and the new client package is extremely reasonable at 10 classes for $50. Also, they're on Gilt City now too (for a brief period of time). read more

I love Barre Groove so much. My favorite class is POM on Saturdays, because I always wanted to dance and who doesn't want to feel like a badass cheerleader! I love the trampoline classes as well, Trampoline Twerkout with Stephanie is my favorite, I also loved Cassie, but ALL of the instructors are amazing!! I've been to other trampoline classes in other major US cities and truly nothing compares to Barre Groove, they are so good with every part of the experience in helping you feel "sassier, sexier, sweatier." I saw results in 2 weeks when I went regularly, and felt confident and strong. When you're on a budget, the free community classes are so helpful. My only note is after 14 tramps it becomes overcrowded and hard to do the workouts without getting in the space next to you - they are popular! I don't live in Boston anymore and this is one of the things I miss the most, I schedule my visits to be able to attend a class! So much love for Barre Groove xoxo read more

One of the most unique workout spots in Boston. I didn't really know what to expect - started with the Pom class with Alanna (signed up on mindbody, they're also on classpass I think) and it was a breeze. First class is $8!! I absolutely hate cardio, but I loved this class. I had fun the entire time - Alanna doesn't just teach she does the whole routine with you so you just feel like you're having fun the entire time rather than exercising. Don't worry about not following along with the choreography, just move and have fun! Got a good sweat in, class size was good and the space was beautiful. Can't wait to come back and try their bounce and band classes. read more

I haven't been to the studio, but I have attended a few trampoline outdoor classes near Time Out Market. They are so much fun - it's a great workout, and Alanna's energy and enthusiasm are amazing. read more

This is hands down the best barre class I've ever taken and I have been to a lot of barre classes. The moves are perfectly matched to the music and every queue is on point. The classes are perfect for all levels. The bounce class is a mix of on and off the trampoline and you are sure to burn those buns. Tonight I tried Pom Groove and felt like I was back in my high school days! It was 5 different songs each with choreography broken down first. The instructor said the songs are pretty much the same each week so you will only get better. Music is everything to me and my favorite part is that every move in every class is to the beat of the music. Basic fitness studio questions... -All equipment is provided -No showers -Bathrooms are minimal in the building and share with the other businesses -Sweat towels are provided read more

If you aren't a bar class fan, don't let the word "barre" discourage you. The Barre Groove class is unlike Core Fusion, Bar Method, or any other bar class out there. High-energy, cardio-heavy, with super fun music to keep your ass moving. In addition to bar classes, Alanna teaches Pom Groove (with pom-poms, who does that?!), Bounce Groove (with mini-trampolines) with plans to launch Total Groove (a hybrid of bar, pom, and bounce) soon. If it's anything like her Cardio Sculpt class (offered during recent renovations while bar was down), it will be incredible too. The studio is newly redone - all new mirrors, bars, and equipment. It's beautiful and hip - a perfect backdrop for a kickass workout AND your subsequent selfie. Lunchtime classes are never crowded, so you'll get lots of personal attention and an intense workout condensed into a quick 45 minutes. Evening classes are like being in the club, dancing with your best friends. You'll smile and laugh your way through challenging dance moves, whether on the trampoline or with pom-poms in hand - or both! Other amenities: a changing room, free water and towels (no one does that anymore!). End result of all my time working out here? Increased energy, happier outlook on life, weight loss, toned muscles, less back pain, and of course, a better butt. :-) For your time and money, this studio offers the most bang for the buck. (Not a paid review - just a diehard fan.) read more

Very friendly teachers and convenient location close to my office . I wanted to like this place. I tried their barre class & trampoline class via ClassPass and wasnt impressed. Overall tacky, boring exercises set to corny music. Reminded me of one of Richard Simmons workout videos from the 90's. The studio itself is pretty , but that's about it. There are far better fitness studios in Boston with more amenities & higher quality classes for the same price . read more

This is the best workout in Boston! Ive been coming to Barre Groove since it opened and I can't express enough what an impact it's had on my body and energy! The instructors are all amazing, the music is great and most importantly you get a killer workout without feeling like its a dreadful exercise class. After cheering my first two years in college, I stopped dance/cheer because of school/work. Finding this place took me back to my dancing and cheer years and helped me feel like I was part of a squad. Barre grove also holds heels workshop classes that are so sexy and fun!! It's kick butt dance workout and the best thing about it, is that all levels can do it! This place is awesome and highly recommended for anyone who wants an amazing workout that makes you see a difference in your body, confidence and energy. This would be also be a fun event for a bachelorette party. Check them out on instagram @barregroove and @legsbyalanna read more

I discovered Barre Groove this past spring, and I expected it to be "just like any other barre class"--the second I walked in, I was proved wrong. First off, the decor and size of the studio are adorable and inviting. There are cubbies in the studio to leave your belongings in your sight while working out. There is a bathroom to change, but I'd recommend coming dressed and ready to go. Second, the instructors (especially Alanna) are very friendly, recognize if someone is new, and help quickly give a rundown of how the class is going to go. They make a point to talk to each client and open up the floor for questions and conversation at the end of the class. They always make you feel very confident and have popular, upbeat music for the workouts that make the class go by super quick! Lastly, the workouts themselves are so unique and really get you moving. For Bounce & Barre, which is my favorite, legs, abs, arms, and basically every other part of your body are put to work--if you aren't breaking a sweat by the 2nd or 3rd song, you're doing it wrong! I'm lucky to be a nearby college student for most of the year, but even in the summer, I've made the 1-hour drive from Worcester three times just for this place, because it is THAT worth it! read more

I did a non-profit fundraising event a Barre Groove and it was great!! They were incredibly generous and donated all the proceeds besides the instructor fee and allowed us to stay after the class to have snacks and drinks. Alex and Alanna was incredibly helpful in putting the entire event together, answering all of my questions and even posting an advertisement for the event on their instagram. Amanda, the instructor, was fabulous. We requested a 90s theme class and she immediately put together an awesome mix. Everyone had a great time and we raised a bunch of money! Thank you! read more

I love it here! The studio is always super clean, and the instructors are personable and encouraging. It's a bit hard to find at first, but it's worth it. I wasn't in shape at all when I first starting going, so I eased myself in with Pom. After a few Pom classes, I started going to the Bounce classes for more of a challenge. Now I've been going to Bounce for four months, and I still love it. Highly recommend! read more

Love this studio and Barre Class! I use class pass as I travel frequently for work and was able to stop by during my time in Boston. Alanna is a great instructor. I felt the burn during and after class. The studio is decorated beautifully. Will definitely be returning and I highly recommend! read more

I've taken the Bounce and Barre and Bounce and Bands classes with Alanna through Classpass. They were great! Really something unique and different; definitely beats doing the same old, same old workout routine alone at the gym. Alanna is upbeat and friendly, always making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. The studio is in a convenient location and has lots of charm. The classes themselves consist of a combination of cardio on the trampolines, and some toning/strengthening using exercise bands and/or hand weights. Overall, it's a great workout that I think all fitness levels would enjoy! read more

Barre Groove is one of my favorite barre classes in Boston. I've been to 5-6 other barre studios in the city and nothing really compares. The studio is small and boutique so you'll never feel overwhelmed with 20+ people in a class. Alanna is one of the best barre instructors out there. She is super sweet and really knows what she's doing. Alanna does an amazing job making sure that the music matches every move. Her classes are fun, upbeat, and challenging. Bonus- Water bottles are complimentary and all equipment is provided for you. read more

I first discovered Barre Groove after winning a gift card at a charity raffle. I ended up signing up for the new members 2 weeks unlimited membership not knowing what to expect at all. The first class I took was Bounce Sculpt with Allyson. The class was incredibly fun and I definitely got a great work out, but truthfully I was very intimidated because I didn't have the beat down and was nervous about falling off the trampoline. I continued going to classes since I had the 2 weeks unlimited, trying out Bounce and Barr, Bounce and Bands, and the Sculpt class. After just my 2nd class I was already so much more confident on the trampoline and after taking 8 classes in 2 weeks I was completely head over heels in love with this studio. I have never felt more confident working out than I do at Barre Groove. It is a great full body work out that gets your heart rate up, tones you all over, burns ands ton calories. The way I describe it to my friends is it is the easiest super hard workout you will ever get because it is so much dang fun. I came to Barre Groove out of my element but now I have a studio where I feel more confident than I ever have while exercising. Would give 6/5 stars if I could!!! read more

Total Groove is hands down the best class esp. when you can't decide which class you want since you want to do it all! Total Groove features all 3 of her methods: Pom, Barre, and Bounce. I looove the trampoline and how you can get so much of a workout on one. Barre Groove was a rewarding challenge, which I was looking for. I've only taken 1 barre class outside of Barre groove in my life so I don't have much to compare it to but my arm, legs and butt were sore! Pom Groove requires more skills in dancing so for someone like me who has none whatsoever, it's less of a workout since I'm spending more time trying to figure things out with two left feet - still, super fun, and the only time I get to hold pom poms. Alanna is an amazing instructor and she has a lot of energy and excitement which is always encouraging during killer pulses. read more

I look forward to every time I can attend class because it honestly puts me in a better mood. Alanna (the founder) creates original and fun workout routines and trampoline/cheer choreographies for her classes. Coming from NYC, I've gone to many barre and trampoline classes, but none that I have actually enjoyed this much. Never did I think I'd love to shake pom poms so much. Barre is a great combination of total body, unlike many other classes which overemphasize impossible leg work at the barre. She is encouraging and has great energy that makes you feel like a true dancer. Her soundtracks are super upbeat. Equipment is all brand new, there are black lights at night and free water is also offered. read more

This class was so much fun! I really enjoyed it! Great workout, and definitely feeling it in my legs, arms, and abs. I look forward to coming back for my next class! Alanna was a great instructor, and she played great songs! read more

HUGE fan!! The Bounce class is SO much fun I hardly even realize I'm working out! Cute studio, great pricing, smiling the entire time! I am always super sore the next day after the Bounce class which I love because I feel like the trampoline is really targeting those areas that may be tough with other types of cardio classes. Highlight of my week! read more

I've been going around to every barre studio in Boston for the last 6 months, and honestly Barre Groove's barre class was never my favorite, but then I tried the Bounce routine and now I'm a huge fan. Alanna's barre classes are more cardio / heart-rate heavy workouts than my favorite kinds of barre that are more focused on form (ex. Bar Method). But that's really a personal preference and she's a great instructor if that's what your looking for. And if cardio is what you are looking for the Bounce classes are really the most fun workout I've ever done. I thought it was more motivating and more fun than Soul Cycle, and I sweat just as much. I've never done dance classes so it took me a little while to get with the choreography, but it felt like a very supportive group and I know I'll get better over time. I just got to the end of my intro 10 classes, and I was on the fence about whether or not to keep going to Barre Groove, but they are the only place in Boston with a Bounce routine so I am definitely going to keep going back! read more

I just took the most amazing class!!! I had so much fun and got such an amazing workout!!! Nothing like this in Boston!!! Will definitely be going back again !!! read more

This is by far the best barre studio you will ever go to. Right when you walk in Alanna welcomes you with the biggest smile on her face, genuinely excited to see you. Alanna is so passionate about helping people live their best life. She has extensive training and it shows through her knowledge and teaching ability. But more importantly, Alanna makes working out fun! With her upbeat songs and sassy moves, you are having the time of your life while sweating your ass off. Whether you are a professional dancer or have two left feet, her Pom Groove class is for anyone. Alanna does an exceptional job of breaking down her choreography and it is at the perfect level where someone with no dance training can easily pick it up but still challenging enough for trained dancers. We all know those days where you just don't want to work out.. At Barre Groove you are smiling the entire time you're there. From walking in to Alanna's perking presence, to walking out feeling like a stronger, better you. Barre Groove is the best studio in Boston, you need to see for yourself. read more

I tried "Pom Groove" for the first time last week and immediately signed up again for this week. It is SO much fun. Pom Groove is a BLAST! I don't have a dance background (one could say I'm rhythmically challenged) but there is no judgment here. I break a great sweat and highly recommend it! read more

The best workout in Boston!! Alanna is amazing! I highly recommend everyone to try out Barre, Pom and Bounce! I have been going for Barre for 4 months now and I see the change. I've tried just about every barre studio in Boston looking for the perfect one and Barre Groove is it for me! Alanna's barre classes are upbeat, ridiculously fun, and I always leave feeling sore and strong. Pom Groove (cardio dance with sparkle pom poms) makes cardio fun even if you have no coordination or dance skills like myself. The studio itself is beautiful - exposed brick, large windows, and perfectly small so you always feel like you're getting a very personalized, attentive class. Water and towels are complimentary. Alanna makes such an effort to get to know each of her students and makes you feel welcomed at every class. I can't recommend Barre Groove enough! read more
