I wish I found Everybody Fights FiDi sooner when I moved to Boston ! Everybody Fights gets you in/out for a HITT workout. At the beginning of each class, the instructors encourage anyone new to the gym or to them to introduce themselves to the instructors who will explain what is about to happen. Everybody Fights promotes its community atmosphere, and I have felt that since my first class. One instructor had come up to me after my second class with her and not only told me I had done a great job in class but also remembered my name ! In comparison to other gyms in the area, I like I can take unlimited classes for $159 (in comparison to others who offered only 8-class pass for +$200). The FiDi location does have towels, showers, lockers included. I mostly go after work to Everybody Fights, but will travel from Allston if I want a weekend workout and find the gym worth it to travel that distance. read more

As a disclaimer, I didn't do any boxing but went for EBF's ROAD class, which is treadmill + various strength moves. Get ready for the inevitable comparison to Barry's, the benchmark I use for any class that combines those two things. Where EBF is better: --I really appreciated the smaller class format where it's only a few students (less than 10) and the instructor. Relatedly, the other people taking the class were very nice and there was more of a community feel than the vibe in Barry's where you basically keep your head down and do the workout. --The area with the treadmills had so much natural light and a view of the street, whereas the Barry's red room is dark and can get claustrophobic if you're myopic like me and can't always see where the treadmill edge in front of your feet ends. --Not only did the instructor demo each move, but if you forgot, you could always look up at the screen to see the moves listed. --Really liked the quick warm-up before the running started. Where Barry's is better: --The treadmills at EBF were on the older end and took some time to get up/down to speed. Now that Barry's has upgraded to new Woodways, I could feel the difference. --The programming at Barry's for the strength component was a lot more varied - in the ROAD class, we only did 2-3 ab moves (and each were super short) and six strength moves (including a bear crawl on the treadmill that had me legit gasping). I'm the sort of person who prefers quantity but if you prefer doing the same moves in multiple sets, go with EBF. --The instructor's cue-ing could have been clearer. For most of the treadmill intervals, we were told how long each was but I love a 5-4-3-2-1 countdown and there were moments where I had no idea how long was left without sneaking a peek at the timer on the screen. I also don't think the interval where we were all-out sprinting and then jumping on the rails is safe when you have people side-by-side on the treadmills. Overall I'd stick with Barry's but I'd give the boxing classes at EBF a try. read more

Super cool gym! I booked their classes on class pass. I tried train/strength and train/cardio classes. They are both circuit training. People gather at the training area and moving from stations to stations to workout. Usually the trainer explain what you are supposed to do at each station during the warm up and then you can hit each station. No more than 5 people at each station, each station involves different exercise ranging from squats, abs, backs, rowing etc. I liked this style because it kept me from getting bored and the exercises are pretty effective targeting my glutes and core. I will come back to try other classes for sure. Super clean and neat gym space and friendly staff. read more

Had my first class here today and took the Train cardio class with Anna G. Coming in, was immediately greeted by a trainer. He pointed me towards the locker rooms and gave a brief walkthrough of the facility. Locker rooms were medium and only one stall and showers were nice about 4-6 showers if i remember correctly. The class was a bit confusing at first, they just spend so little time explaining every workout and it's a little fast paced. I was definitely overwhelmed for the warm up and the first round. After the second round you kinda figure out what's going on and it makes sense how the class is going. By this time you are feeling the burn and people are encouraging you & working hard so you follow suit. Definitely a lively gym that has a nice atmosphere, and the trainer was very attentive to the class even though there were like 30 of us. The workouts kicked my a** but they were good. I saw a boxing training going on that looked good, I may try that out. Overall my experience with Anna's class was cool, I'll be back again. read more

I've come here using classpass before and just purchased a 20 class pack. The gym itself is spacious and usually has 2+ classes going at the same time. But the trainers are really good and usually the classes don't interfere with each other. I have taken ROADxSRENGTH, TRAINxSTRENGTH and BAGSxCORE. Every class is challenging and the instructors are all well trained to make sure you have good form/provide modifications. The woman's locker room can be a bit cramped in between classes with people changing/waiting for lockers but just show up a little early and you'll be good. The front desk staff are also very nice :) read more

If there's a busy workout place, Everybody Fights FiDi has my vote. I signed up for the BAGSxCORE since my friend goes here. I've never been and totally forgot where the entrance was (since I've passed it once), it's actually not on Federal Street, but the one intersecting it which is Franklin Street. When I walked in I was totally overwhelmed since there were so many people coming and going. There's ipads on the right for you to sign into your class. Water on the left and other drinks. The wraps are also on the left, right in front of the windows if you need them. Head to the back...all the way and take a right and you will find the girls locker room, guys is on the left. They have showers, bathrooms and lockers. Head back to the front if you don't have gloves. The front desk will help you out. They are really nice! The bags class was held in the room facing the ring, like the boxing ring. There's 4 classes going on the same time when I was there so LOTS AND LOTS of people, probably like a 100? Anyways, the atmosphere of the bags room is cool, but on my first try I had nooo clue what I was doing as you get a mini session for a minute when the trainer asks all the newbies to come to her and she tells you the moves. At the beginning you will also do some core warmups... *phew, get ready to sweat!!! I do wish the space was bigger or less people because doing a plank jack/mountain climber is hard when you are trying to not get kicked by the person in front of you...some people aren't aware they aren't the only one in the goddamn room, please be courteous and watch for your neighbors' fingers guys!!! Otherwise, the class passes by so quickly and the music is good. read more

Everybody Fights is by far the best gym I've had the pleasure of being a member of. I've been a member since May 2019, and I've really appreciated the variety of classes offered and the super personable (yet, extremely professional) trainers. Membership is offered at a reasonable price for the number of classes and equipment offered. Plus, I'm constantly overhearing praises about how nice the locker room facilities are when new people visit! Keep in mind, this is primarily a "boxing gym," so many of the classes are related to, or influenced by, boxing exercises, but there's a ton to do without investing in learning how to box. In short, great classes, great staff, and great facilities! read more

Tried out a rooster cardio class with Cameron and omg, nothing wakes me up better than plyometrics. That ish was haaaard!!! Thankfully the class is broken up into rounds and you only have to do the circuit once because that is plenty! Lots of exercises covered in the class that hit your full body, from alternating rope waves and rowing, to walk balls and split squats. Cameron covered everything in the beginning of class but you better pay attention because once the rounds get going you're going to feel lost if you didn't. At 6am, there was a huge crowd going here so I'd say if you are a beginner to fitness, just make sure to follow the board or the people in your group around since it's very fast paced (thankfully). After the rounds are up, you end up altogether doing floor exercises which was a nice but brutal way to finish class. Overall, I really enjoyed my workout (though my body may hate me tomorrow). This place was PACKED since there are 2-3 classes going on so it's loud and crowded. Locker room area is a tight space but seems to be a decent amount of showers and lockers. read more

I have been going to EverybodyFights FiDi and Seaport for a few months now. I decided to join EverybodyFights Fidi fairly recently. My experience so far has been great! Everyone is so nice and willing to help out. Also, I love the variety of classes that they have. I enjoy the TRAIN classes. My favorite class is Amanda Brabec's BAGSxBEATS class on Friday. It's so motivating, fun, challenging, and a really great work out. If you can add more BAGSxBEATS classes in the beginning of the week around 6 or 6:15, that would be great! Came here for the free 1st time free drop in since I wanted to check out the new space. The good: +went to the 5:00pm class and there was only about 4 people in the class. The instructor (forget his name but he also teaches at FlyWheel) was great. Very personal, motivating, and understood how to coach +clean, gorgeous space. Loved how the treadmills overlook the street. Will be awesome in the summer when the sun is out even more (and spring with the March time change!). +Nice, friendly staff. Easy going and explain everything. The bad: -Kelly Brabants of BBB Leggings doesn't YET have a class on the schedule. WTF?! -Crowded for sure! But not sure if this is regular clientele or everyone just wanting to check out the space. -Classes are too big you probably cannot get such a personal experience like I had in my 4 person class right at 5pm. Walking thru the gym you could see people not getting personalized attention b/c the teacher:student ratio doesn't favor the student. Overall, a GREAT space and GREAT location with nice, friendly, staff. Would for sure recommend to someone looking for classes and to bulk up, but I will happily continue my Exhale Membership and do Barre. I think a great indicator of HOW you want to look is to look AROUND at the people in your classes. Welcome to FiDi! read more

I am a 48 year old former college athlete- this place makes you complete. Nobody wants you to reach your goals more than the EBF team. All ages, all sizes, all goals- truly a great place to make yourself better in whatever way you choose. Loose weight, gain muscle, or just sleep better- I am very happy here. I've been coming here for a year and a half and it's my favorite gym I've ever been to. I go multiple times a week and always feel motivated and challenged by the instructors and variety of classes. I used to be a loner gym goer and wasn't comfortable in massive classes before, but this gym changed my perspective on that. The first few times it felt overwhelming, but once I became comfortable with the combinations/rooms/setup of classes it never bothered me to be in a room full of people and now I find it motivating. If it's your first time going and the instructor asks who is new, definitely raise your hand - they're just trying to make it easier on you (and everyone else - especially in the train classes there's a flow to the way the exercises go so you don't wan't to be the person throwing everyone off). Bags room can be a tight squeeze so be mindful of your neighbor! The front desk is always helpful and the facility is very well maintained. They're always making updates to the locker room (adding more amenities like dry shampoo and hair elastics, more small lockers, etc.) to try and better accommodate members. The locker room is really busy/crowded at peak times, to be expected. The temperature in the bags room can sometimes be off it can get VERY steamy (summer or winter). Small price to pay for such a great workout though, and worth powering through. read more

Overall great workout. But: Overcrowded, not much space to be fully comfortable. You're pretty smelling other people's sweat. Not a traditional gym in the sense that you can go and punch the bags or lift weights on your own. If you like group classes, then this is your gym. read more

This is my all time favourite gym in the world. I've been to various boxing and circuit gyms in the US and abroad and I can say with certainty that the quality and energy of the instructors here is unparalleled. There is a class for everyone, from purely cardio, to just boxing, to weights. And everything in between. They even let members use machines and equipment outside/during class. So you don't have to just take classes here, you can come in and do your own thing. But then why wouldn't you take a class - the instructors are not only experienced and knowledgeable, but kind, funny and enthusiastic people.
