What an incredible boxing studio! I joined my friend for her birthday and was instantly hooked…read more Colleen, the club owner, is one of the kindest sweetest people you will ever meet. She is a great instructor, always tweaking the formats to improve our workouts and eliciting feedback from members to ensure we are getting the most out of each class. She knows everyone by name and it truly feels like a community. I have taken both the boxing HIIT class and strength and conditioning class. Boxing HIIT encompasses circuits including boxing combos on the bag, alternating with HIIT (eg burpees, jump squats, jumping jacks, etc), with rounds of dumbbell work and abs mixed in. It is truly a full body workout. I took my boyfriend to a class and he was absolutely drenched in sweat by the end. Strength and conditioning is more of a traditional circuit format with alternating exercises focused on strengthening your arms, legs, back, and core. They also have boxing technique classes, youth boxing, and kickboxing classes throughout the week, and now sparring on Sunday. They just introduced women's only kickboxing class on Saturday morning which I am super excited to try out! Overall such a great addition to the JP community and one of my fav local businesses.

I rang the bell for assistance, exactly as instructed on the posted sign, and politely asked the associate to refill my water bottle because I was wrapped in a towel. With male trainers present on the floor, this already felt uncomfortable for me due to prior trauma. The response I received felt dismissive and lacked basic courtesy. In a women-focused space, staff should understand and respect privacy concerns without making members feel awkward for asking for help. More concerning is locker room security. Items have been taken from my gym bag on three separate occasions, all on different days. In the most recent incident, my entire gym bag was taken and later abandoned once the person realized there was nothing valuable inside. This shows a pattern, not a one-off mistake. This gym charges premium prices, and repeated theft in the locker room is unacceptable. There needs to be stronger security, monitoring, and communication around this issue. Finally, there needs to be clarity and enforcement around the presence of male trainers in an all-female gym, especially near locker room areas. Many members choose women-only gyms specifically for safety, comfort, and privacy reasons. This expectation should be taken seriously, not minimized. I am asking management to: * Train staff to respond respectfully to reasonable requests. * Address ongoing locker room theft with real preventive measures. * Clearly communicate and enforce policies around access to women-only spaces. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot recommend this gym. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously and makes changes that protect and respect its members.

Instead of a kickboxing kids class for my son who had prior experience, the actual class turned out to be a karate type beginner kids class with a bunch of little kids. Mostly 4-5 years olds half the age of my son. It was extremely underwhelming. The instructor was a nice guy and he was genuinely surprised that we were told by UFC gym manager that this would be the right class for my son. My son also tried private lessons and that turned out to be a really lazy effort with the instructor only interested in getting paid. More than half of the lesson was spent talking to other people and doing everything else but actually training. As shady as it gets. For the private lesson on top of the price quoted it turned out to require an additional $100 per month membership fee. This membership was required for four lessons for a kid. In addition, the guy wanted another fee that he did not want to explain. I am guessing that it was a membership initiation fee. When I told him that this was not the price given initially and it is rediculous for four kid's lessons the guy became angry and rude. The cost of the private lesson for a child including the gym fees was roughly $200 per hour. There are plenty of other places around that have better facilities and actually make an honest effort to train. Adults and kids. For less than half the money UFC gym demands, you can have top-level wold class instructors who actually will put a 100% effort into a training session. It is extremely disappointing that people who run this location of the UFC gym think that it is ok to demand these delusional prices for kid's lessons.
